The Voice Season 13: O' Holy Night-- The Final Four Sing Tonight

Team Adam: Addison Agen sang Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw-- In a way, I liked that the vocal wasn't perfect. It made the performance more genuine and personal. I thought the song choice was smart and touching. Jennifer said never allow someone's ugly to mess up your beautiful. Adam said every time you get up there you make me proud and blow me away.

Team Blake: Chloe Kohanski sang her original song Wish I Didn't Love You-- Blake said think of every superstar in music, they don't think or sound like anybody else. This is a superstar.

Blake and Red duet on I'm Gonna Miss Her

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson sang her original song What is Beautiful-- I loved the message of the song, but it did get a little bit sleepy and repetitive. Adam echoed that he loved the partnership between Brooke and Miley and that she is beautiful. Miley said you are a necessary artist.

Adam and Addison duet on Falling Slowly

Miley and Brooke duet on Wrecking Ball

Team Blake: Red Marlow sang his original song I Pray-- Jen commended him for singing a song called I Pray, she said she has always been a fan of his. Blake said the reason you're here is the simple relatability to what you do on stage. You're a country star. Wow, I agree with both comments, Red's song was so special. His delivery was simple, yet genuine and powerful.

Blake and Chloe duet on You Got It

Team Blake: Red Marlow sang To Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan/ Garth Brooks-- This song was so perfect for Red to sing tonight. I just think that whether or not he wins this competition, he deserves to be a country star, a music star. I loved it. Blake was on his feet and said Red blew him way. I could not agree more.

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson sang O Holy Night-- Her vocals were stunning, that was absolutely flawless. The song was just perfect for her. Jennifer said that was a gift to us all. Miley said not only were you beautiful but your voice was beautiful.

Team Adam: Addison Agen sang her original song Tennessee Rain-- Addison's song was so gorgeous lyrically and never mind how great the vocal was. Adam spoke about not only Addison the artist and Voice contestant but who she is as a person. He said that young girls should aspire to be like her.

Team Blake: Chloe Kohanski sang Bette Davis Eyes--  This is Chloe's best performance of the night, so it's great that she ended with this. That being said, it was an odd song to end the show with. I suppose though, that it's very much within Chloe's style.

The Voice Season 13: Faithfully The Top 8

Team Adam: Adam Cunningham sang I'm Already There by Lonestar-- I'm not 100% sure that Adam will be in the top 3 tomorrow, but I do think he will be part of those 3 people singing for their life on the show. If he continues singing the way he did tonight, he may have a change of getting through. Blake said I can tell that the lyric meant something to you. Adam said he deserves to be in the finale, you compel people to vote for you.

Duets: Chloe and Noah sang Wicked Games by Chris Isaak-- This was a strong duet, and probably the most predictable pairing

Team Jennifer: Davon Fleming sang Gravity by John Mayer-- I loved Adam's comment, because it was so true. Because Davon was able to dial it back, it was easily his best performance yet. It had that much more meaning. Jennifer talked about how she and the audience felt Davon in that performance.

Team Blake: Red Marlow sang Go Rest High on That Mountain by Vince Gill-- Red's performance is going to mean so much to the country music fans out there. It was so real and authentic like always. Miley said the reason she made such a fool of herself and begged Red to be on her Team during the blinds is because he is the truth. Blake said he doesn't need to talk about who Red is because his performance's speak for themselves and are meaningful.

Duets: Davon and Brooke sang Earned It by The Weeknd-- Soulful and BIG duet. I loved this.

Team Blake: Keisha Renee sang What Hurts the Most by Rascal Flatts-- Keisha's performance was so natural, the flow of this song was perfect for Keisha because it's soulful just like she is. Miley said she loves that Keisha takes classic country songs and does them in her own style. Blake said he has known Gary from Rascal Flatts for a long time now, and he is probably listening to that song right now and thinking, I should have sang it like that.

Duets: Red and Adam sang Can't You See by The Marshall Tucker Band-- This performance felt so authentic, I could tell these two genuinely loved singing together.

Team Blake: Chloe Kohanski sang I Wanna Know What Love Is by Foreigner-- Everything about Chloe-- her voice, her performance, what she wears, and how she looks is so calculated. She is not just a voice, but an artist. This performance was so exception. Blake said you are the most iconic voice we have ever had on this show.

Duets: Keisha and Addison sang Strong Enough by Cheryl Crowe-- Most unlikely pair! This was inspired and soulful.

Team Jennifer: Noah Mac sang River by Bishop Briggs-- I liked the song choice, but this may have been a little bit of an obscure song choice for tonight. This felt a little bit forced, and I hope this wasn't out of desperation for him to get back what he had a few weeks ago. Jennifer said you brought something youthful, and you believe in yourself, and that's what Team J. Hud is all about.

Team Adam: Addison Agen sang Both Sides Now by Joni Mitchell-- Blake said Addison, I am such a fan of yours. You're a model for teenagers, you're so beyond your years. Adam said Addison, you've changed the way I view the game, I want you to sing the songs that mean the most to you. I want to set you up to have the best possible career you could ever have, Addison is The Voice, she's beyond that. You're such a special gift, and I love you.

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson sang Faithfully by Journey-- Tonight, Brooke's performance was so emotional. She hit all the big notes, it was definitely a memorable moment for her on the stage tonight. Miley said they nearly burnt the place down tonight, and that if this show is The Voice, then Brooke will be in the finale.

Bottom 2-- Davon and Noah

Who will move on to the final 4? I'm not sure.

The Voice Season 13: The Top 10 Made Me Feel "Lucky" to Hear Them

Team Jennifer: Davon Fleming sang Hurt by Christina Aguilera-- I dig this song, and it's pretty amazing that he can even keep up. I will be honest, there were some pitch issues, but overall, I think he did a solid job. Blake said he needs to be on the show next week. Jennifer echoed Blake's sentiment and said if he is not there, she doesn't understand why they are there in the first place.

Team Adam: Adam Cunningham sang Maybe it was Memphis by Pam Tillis-- I have to agree with coach Adam, this was Adam Cunningham's best performance to date. I felt like the song sat in such a comfortable place for his voice. His vocal soared on the big and long notes. Blake liked that Adam sang an iconic country song that he never would have thought of. Miley said she is so happy to see him on the stage. Adam said that Adam picked his song, and he gave his performance on the show tonight. He said I can't imagine a world where Adam doesn't make it through this week.

Team Jennifer: Noah Mac sang Ordinary World by Duran Duran-- Noah continues to make this great music/ song choices. He is beyond his years. Jennifer said she enjoyed watching that and is very proud of him. She found his performance captivating.

Team Jennifer: Shi'Ann Jones sang Diamonds by Rihanna-- I think this is probably one of Shi'Ann's best performances. I didn't think the whistle note towards the end was necessary but I felt like she did a great job with a song that is difficult to sing. Adam said you have been the most improved player here, and I love the union with you and your coach. Blake said we could sit here and brag on your range all night, but I want to talk about the character in your voice. Jennifer said you are such a huge talent, I heard Beyonce, Mariah... etc.

Team Blake: Chloe Kohanski sang Call Me by Blondie-- Chloe is just continuing to cruise in this competition. I loved that performance, she looked like an absolute rock star and she had a real Gwen Stefani-esque sound to her tonight. I think that was one of the best performances of the night so far. Miley said this performance made me so happy, I love the look you just brought to this generation. Blake said did you hear me screaming, there's not much to say after that. I don't have to sell that, sis, you are a star.

Team Blake: Keisha Renee sang All by Myself-- Love Keisha and what she stands for, I found this to be a bit of a sleepy song choice. The big note toward the end was crazy. I think she will still be in it next week, but I want her to come back with a more upbeat performance next week. Jennifer felt she earned every bit of that. Adam said it was an incredible performance and he heard she was the target of some hateful comments and her performance was proof to them that she was unaffected.

Team Miley: Ashland Craft sang I Hate Myself for Loving You by Joan Jett-- I felt like her vocal was good but the performance itself seemed repetitious to me. Jennifer thought she was a star.

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson sang Amazing Grace-- That performance and that song could have seemed overdone. Brooke is such a talent that she made me relive hearing Amazing Grace for the first time in church and it was exciting to me because she sang it in her own way and with her own emotion inserted in. This was a vocal masterclass. J. Hud said to sing from a place like that and to witness it, I am glad to see a voice like yours get that kind of platform. Blake said Brooke, this night has been stacking up, and you feel like it can't get much better, you just took it to the next level. Miley said you put a band aid on my broken heart, you're not going anywhere.

Team Blake: Red Marlow sang That's What I Love About Sunday by Craig Morgan-- Red is a strong performer, he's a storyteller. His take on each song that he sings is so sincere. Jennifer said you're so lovable and charming. Blake said you're gonna be around on this show for a long time, and you will be around after this show.

Team Adam: Addison Agen sang Lucky by Britney Spears-- Gorgeous vocal! Her rendition of a Britney Spears pop song was so deep, emotional, and captivating. That was truly everything. Miley said you hit a soft spot singing that Britney song for me. You got so creative and that's what I loved about you. Adam said there are a lot of great singers in this competition, but I truly believe you are the best artist. You're the real deal and you're inspirational, I love who you are, and you're a class act.

Bottom 3--- Davon, Shi'Ann, and Ashland

The Voice Season 13: The Top 11 Shine

Team Miley: Janice Freeman sang Shine by Collective Soul-- I didn't like this performance, it just felt like a lot of screaming. Adam admits he didn't like the song choice but loved the way Janice sang it. Miley says she could not sit down and loved it.

Team Blake: Red Marlow sang The Dance by Garth Brooks-- Blake is on his feet, and yes, rightfully so. The song feels a bit overdone, but it was a great performance. J. Hud said he commanded the room and owned the moment. Blake said he is a great storyteller.

Team Jennifer: Shi'Ann Jones sang Listen by Beyonce-- I think the coaches are tone deaf. I thought the tone was all off and pitch was up and down all over the place. Miley said she loves her low tones, and all the imperfections in her voice. Jennifer said America has to vote for you.

Team Adam: Adam Cunningham sang American Girl by Tom Petty-- This was a much improved performance. I love that the song fit him and his vocal style so well. Blake said I would be shocked if you were in the bottom two, you delivered a vocal that proves you deserve to be in this competition. Adam said we did a lot of work to ensure that you're not in the bottom again, I think you gave even more this week than you had to.

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson sang What About Us by Pink-- It sounded similar to the original, but Brooke's individuality and amazing vocals shined through in this. Adam said he loved how she took that song that is obviously so meaningful to Pink and made it meaningful to her. Miley said Brooke has an amazing ear and took something very mainstream and made it her own.

Team Jennifer: Davon Fleming sang I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston-- That was incredible! I mean Davon is a talented and gifted vocalist, he sang that song as well as any male vocalist could sing it. It sounded amazing, I especially loved the strong finish. Blake said he could do that song identical to Davon. As a fan of yours, you're incredible, you're a thorn in my side, you side with so much dynamics. You're not going anywhere I don't think. Jennifer said I am not blown away by you. To take a female song and sing it like that, Adam interrupted, is impossible!

Team Miley: Ashland Craft sang Chicken Fried by The Zac Brown Band-- Another strong performance from Ashland. I want her to sing something more feminine the next time around, that being said, she will be around to do so.  Adam said A+ to you for your performance, and I think you belong in this competition til the end. Miley said I think you brought it and I loved your confidence.

Team Adam: Addison Agen sang A Case of You by Joni Mitchell-- Once again, all four coaches on their feet. That was just crazy, her poise and her maturity to sing a song like that is not even real. J Hud said, I don't care if you're on my team or not, America, you need to vote for this girl. Adam said her performance was full recognition of what her talent is, and that she is potentially the winner of this show.

Team Blake: Keisha Renee sang It Matters to Me by Faith Hill-- I thought that was a strong vocal that she made her own. Miley said you're such a refreshing voice to hear, and you reminded me of how much I love that song. Blake said I love you, and you just delivered a solid country performance.

Team Jennifer: Noah Mac sang Electric Love by Borns-- The performance was imaginative, the vocals were precise and genius in terms of the dynamics. It was captivating from start to finish. Adam said I still don't expect that to be your voice. You are dreamy, and I love how you pushed that. Jennifer said you showed the star you are, you're gonna be at the top of the charts.

Team Blake: Chloe Kohanski sang Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler-- Killer performance! What a way to close the show, her tone and range reminded me so much of Miley. This was such a great song choice, all four coaches on their feet! Miley said I am so proud of you week after week and for being so original. You destroyed that! Blake said you just set the bar up there.

Janice and Shi'Ann are my bottom 2 with Adam or Ashland rounding out the bottom three.

The Voice Season 13: The Top 12 Told "The Story"

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson sang Praying by Kesha-- I think it brought something powerful to Kesha's already meaningful song. I wanted more, but I loved what she did. Miley spoke a lot about how Brooke is so different than everyone else on the show.

Team Blake: Red Marlow sang Church on Cumberland Road by Shenandoah-- Adam said authenticity is number one for me, it needs to sound real and that's as good as it gets for me. Blake said I saw that performer side of you today. I completely agree with both coaches, I think what it comes down is the right song choice and performing it in a real way.

Team Jennifer: Shi'Ann Jones sang Vision of Love by Mariah Carey-- Hard to believe she is 15 years old. Her voice is so poised and mature for her age, and has so much control. Blake said you picked the perfect time to become the highlight of the show, that was so good. Jennifer said you're singing for your home and that touches my heart. Singing is your business and you sing from your heart, and that's why you can sing like that.

Team Adam: Jon Mero sang Why I Love You by Major-- Jon's vocal reminded me so much of Prince, Miguel, Maxwell.... it's crazy. What a great song choice. Miley said when you teared up a little bit, it made me connect with you even more. Adam said that was even more amazing than I thought it was going to be, you're incredible.

Team Miley: Ashland Craft sang Delta Dawn by Tanya Tucker-- The song was a little sleepy but I think Ashland is a major talent and I would be very surprised if she didn't make it into the next round. Miley said she and J Hud are her #1 and #2 fans, and that she has a great voice and is very talented.

Team Adam: Adam Cunningham sang Against All Odds by Phil Collins-- Bit of an odd song choice I thought. I didn't like the deviation from the original. Blake talked about how Adam messed up but rebounded. His coach Adam said this happens to all of us but you recovered well.

Team Blake: Chloe Kohanski sang Thank You by Dido-- She's very artsy as a vocalist, reminds me almost of like a Lady Gaga. I think it was a nice choice for her and she changed it and made it very "Chloe". Miley said I miss you on my team and you're a superstar. Blake said, I'll be damned, Chloe you're a star.

Team Jennifer: Davon Fleming sang Love on Top by Beyonce-- Love Davon, he's one of  my favorites in the competition, and took no issue with his vocal. However, I thought that the arrangement was a bit all over the place. Adam said it would literally take him 6 months to prepare for the performance Davon just did. He said he had no words and tossed his shoe. J Hud did the same and lost her shoe.

Team Adam: Addison Agen sang She Used to be Mine by Sara Bareilles-- Addison blew me away with something that is soulful and thoughtful. Miley said I was singing on a stage like you at 16, but I didn't have your stillness and your confidence. Adam said beyond how incredible your voice is, you're someone who can be an inspiration to so many young women. You're not just one of the most special singers in this competition but in this world.

Team Blake: Keisha Renee sang Midnight Train to Georgia by Gladys Knight-- The arrangement is beautiful and her vocals are beautiful. They're strong and true and every coach is on their feet. That was amazing! J Hud said I think we were all on that midnight train with you. Your heart was in it and the way you delivered that was everything. Blake said if you have ears and eyes and you didn't think that was beautiful, I don't know what to say. I am so excited to take this journey with you.

Team Jennifer: Noah Mac sang Speed of Sound by Coldplay-- I didn't love the arrangement or the song choice for Noah. That being said, he continues to produce captivating vocals. J Hud said he is totally a star.

Team Miley: Janice Freeman sang The Story by Brandi Carlisle-- Janice sings from a place of experience and life. She is another real contender in this competition. Blake said Brandi is somewhere in the world going what in the world?! Miley said I am in tears, I am so proud of you. You told the story and the story is yours.

Botton 3-- Adam, Davon, Shi'Ann

The Voice Season 13: Adam's Team was "Perfect" Tonight

Adam Cunningham sang Have a Little Faith in Me by Joe Cocker-- Adam is a star, he is such a performer, and how crazy was Blake letting him go? . J Hud said I felt your energy and your spirit. Blake said I'm not a fan of his but I am a fan of yours always.

COMEBACK CONTESTANT Whitney Fenimore sang If It Makes You Happy by Sheryl Crowe-- Blake felt she struggled with the front half of the song, but he hopes she moves forward. I agree, it seemed like she was having a pretty hard time staying on pitch. If she makes it forward I will be surprised.

Emily Luther sang Lovesong by The Cure (Adele cover)-- Emily Luther blew me away, what an impressive performance. Her voice was mesmerizing and captivating, I felt touched by that song, and she seemed to believe in it too which is so important. J Hud felt like it was a flawless performance and she felt her presence and personality. Adam called it amazing and said it shows people the soulful side of you.

Anthony Alexander sang Perfect by Ed Sherran-- This song fit his voice so well, and I felt like he took Adam's feedback well and worked on the song. I loved how he changed the second part of the song, and took some liberties there. It sounded authentic to him. Blake said I still detect a lot of nerves, but you are super talented. J Hud, your voice is so beautiful, and I felt like you were singing to me. Miley said you nailed it. Adam said you have a tremendous voice with tremendous potential.

Jon Mero sang When We Were Young by Adele-- Adam is going to have some tough choices tonight because that was another strong performance. Jon always taps into emotions. Blake said your voice is like a laser and it cuts through everything, you're more than ready for this. J Hud said everyone should be looking to have a moment like that on this stage. Adam said he did excellent..

Addison Agen sang Angel from Montgomery by John Prine-- That was such a heartfelt performance. All the coaches were rightfully on their feet, so beautiful. Blake said I love Addison, and Adam said too bad she's mine. Blake said you are both with the understanding of how to convey a lyrical message, and if you don't move forward, I'm gonna have someone cut Adam's breaks. J Hud said I want to learn everything about you. Adam said you're so special in a very profound way, I adore you.

My Picks: Emily, Addison, and either Adam or Anthony
Adam's Picks: Addison, Jon, Adam

The Voice Season 13: The Playoffs-- Team J. Hud, and Team Blake

Team Jennifer:

Davon Fleming sang I am Changing by Dreamgirls-- Davon's voice is just incredible, it soars, and evokes emotion. Wow, the range is not even real, showstopping! All the coaches are on their feet, rightfully so, I have tears coming down my face. Adam said that song is beyond a challenge, I hated that performance cause it wasn't on my team. Blake said you're a pretty good singer, why are we even talking to you right now, you should be getting in your limo right now.

Hannah Mrozak sang Learn to Let Go by Kesha-- Emotional performance, but I didn't think the song stood out enough. Jennifer said she is the dark horse of her team.

COMEBACK CONTESTANT: Lucas Holliday sang The Beautiful Ones by Prince-- Lucas Holliday deserved to be able to give this type of performance. I am just smiling ear to ear, Lucas's vocal was out of the box. Adam said it is one of his favorite songs ever. Blake said I liked it, I wanna see it again and again. Jennifer said that's how you come back.

Shi'Ann Jones sang Tattooed Heart by Ariana Grande-- I think she does need more time, there is tons of potential there but she would benefit from more training. She has that whistle range that Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande have, that's rare and that's talent. Blake said you are my favorite person on someone else's team. Jennifer is proud of her for taking every liberty in her moment.

Chris Weaver sang California Soul by Marlena Shaw-- This did not impress me as much as his initial performance. I think he and Jen thought this would hit in the same way that Try a Little Tenderness did, and it didn't. He is super talented, I just think this was the wrong song. Blake was looking for a softer side to Chris.

Noah Mac sang Coming in the Air Tonight by Phil Collins-- Noah has a hypnotic voice. I cannot believe he's 17 years old! He's very clearly beyond his years. His low register is so developed but his full voice is too, not even possible. Miley said he is such a great performer. Adam said this was a breakout performance. Blake said I'm the guy that had Noah on my Team and let him go. Jennifer said you are a star.

My three picks: Davon, Lucas, Noah
Jennifer's picks: Davon, Noah, Shi'Ann

Team Blake:

Red Marlow sang Chiseled in Stone by Vern Gosdin-- This guy is already a star, I felt like I was at his country concert over the summer outdoors. Jen said you have such strong presence. Miley said I wish you were on my team, you have such a great chance of winning this show. I love your voice so much. Adam said you tapped into truth and trust when you sing, thank you, I'm a fan. Blake said the fact that you wanna represent that era of country music is amazing.

Chloe Kohanski sang Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper-- Chloe has this unique rasp in her voice. I loved it. It was a great song choice for her too. Jennifer said you remind me of Madonna, Gwen, and Miley, but you're still yourself. Blake said I have tons of respect for the type of artist you are, you were really good.

COMEBACK CONTESTANT Natalie Stovall sang Callin' Baton Rouge by Garth Brooks-- I'm not loving this performance. I felt like it was a little corny, and Adam hinted at that. Blake commented about how infectious her performance was, and it was great to see how happy she was. She was definitely the right artist for him to bring back.

Esera Tuaolo sang How Do I Live by Leann Rimes-- I agree with Blake that he has not mastered technique yet, but that being said, there is something so likable about Esera, even through the pitch issues. Adam said get control of your nerves and your vocal performance will be even stronger. Blake said you have this beautiful high voice, and you're a football player.

Mitchell Lee sang Heaven by Bryan Adams-- I felt like he pulled off that performance, that is a hard song, but it was strong. Miley liked the performance and felt like he showed what he needed to. Blake felt key-wise, that was as high as they could go.

Keisha Renae sang Love Can Build a Bridge by The Judds-- That performance was so moving and powerful. Keisha expressed herself so beautifully and connected so well with that song. Jennifer said you are the bridge of gospel and country. Adam said I have never heard a version of that song done like that. Blake said I love you Keisha, that song is iconic and you took it to another level, I'm in your fan club.

My picks: Red, Chloe, Keisha
Blake's picks: Keisha, Red, Chloe

The Voice Season 13: Have "Mercy" it's the Knockouts

Team Jennifer: Chris Weaver singing I Put a Spell on You by Screamin' Jay Hawkins vs. Katrina Rose singing Zombie by the Cranberries-- Both performances were knockouts for sure! I loved the confidence both of them had, and the strength in their vocals. Miley said, I think it would be hard for J. Hud Productions to give up Chris Weaver. Adam said Chris you're like a laser beam and Katrina you're a flame thrower. Blake said Katrina, I went there with you. Jennifer said Chris you're a freight train, and Blake said at BS Prods we call it a tidal wave.
Jennifer chose Chris

Team Blake: Megan Rose singing Smoke Break by Carrie Underwood vs. Red Marlow singing Outskirts of Heaven by Craig Campbell-- Red is such a real performer, he is completely true to who he is. Megan was great, but she was no match for Red. He's the real deal. Adam said Red when you sing there's no BS, and Megan the notes you were hitting were wow. Miley said, Red I'm your biggest fan, and Megan you came from my team and you're strong. Blake said Megan what a voice, and Red you represent a time in country music that goes back about 15 years ago.
Blake chose Red

Team Adam: Anthony Alexander singing Mercy by Shawn Mendes vs. Hannah Mrozak Love on the Brain by Rihanna-- Loved both, but for me, I'd need to go with Anthony, he moved me. Blake said he felt some of the low notes got away from Anthony and he would go with Hannah. Miley said she wanted Hannah to have more confidence, and with Anthony, all the things you would want to see when you go to someone's concert, you have. Adam said you both have some tweaks that need to be made.
Adam chose Anthony, Jennifer stole Hannah

I'm loving Anthony and Red

The Voice Season 13: There's Glitter in the Air for the Knockouts

Team Miley: Brooke Simpson singing Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin vs. Stephan Marcellus singing Impossible by Shontelle-- Miley said Brooke needs to bring the swag and Stephan needs to be confident. I liked both of them, I think they're equally talented. Brooke has the slightly stronger voice, but Stephan is the stronger performer. Miley can't go wrong with whoever she chooses. I almost wish both could move forward. Adam said it's rare that someone who is a 4 chair turn who gets better in the blinds. He also loves what Stephan wear and thinks he has stage presence. Miley said Brooke's voice is powerful, she said Stephan you have had a tough journey on this show, but you can sing.
Miley chose Brooke

Team Blake: Anna Catherine DeHart singing Breathe by Faith Hill vs. Mitchell Lee singing I'll Be by Edwin McCain-- Mitchell has so much confidence onstage, I loved the way he changed up the song, those little nuances were so perfect. I think he also has so much stage presence, impressive! Anna Catherine was actually really good, she definitely pulled off a very vocally tough song. J. Hud loved Anna's ease, and Mitchell you have so much swag. Miley loved how seasoned Mitchell is as a performer, and loves the sound that Anna is bringing to country music. Adam thought Mitchell's performance made up for the pitch issues he had. Blake said, Mitchell the way you worked the crowd. you made me feel "melty", and Anna Catherine you bring something to country music that we need more of.
Blake chose Mitchell

Team Jennifer: Jeremiah Miller singing Sorry by Justin Bieber vs. Noah Mac singing Hold Back the River by James Bay-- I liked Jeremiah's performance, but Noah had this performance. His low notes to full voice sounded "dope" like Miley said. Adam said Noah, what you do is special. Blake said Noah, I feel like a moron, I never should have let you go. Jen said Jeremiah it's tricky when you pick out a Justin Bieber because you should be carving out your own lane. Noah, you're kinda beyond your years.
Jennifer chose Noah

Team Blake: Kathrina Feigh singing Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys vs. Keisha Renae singing I Hope You Dance by Leann Womack--  I thought both ladies were confident and strong. I would lean towards Keisha because she clearly knows who she is and there is a niche for someone like her in country music. I could even see her transcending the country music genre. Jen said, Blake it depends if you wanna dance or be on fire. Blake said, when I dance I actually look like I'm on fire. Adam said Kathrina you're scrappy, definitely a fighter. Blake said Kathrina you're an incredible talent. Keisha you're such a thoughtful performer, you think about every lyric.
Blake chose Keisha

Team Adam: Dylan Gerard vs Jon Mero singing Blame it on the Boogie by The Jackson 5-- Adam chose Jon

Team Miley: Moriah Formica singing Behind These Hazel Eyes by Kelly Clarkson vs. Whitney Fenimore singing Calling All Angels by Train-- Moriah was bad ass singing that Kelly Clarkson song, the high notes at the end were perfectly executed. She has so much maturity for her age. Whitney is a storyteller, she really elevated this song. Adam said you two destroyed this, I refuse to decide. Whitney, your voice was shockingly clear, but Moriah your performance was fierce. Jen said, Moriah, I wouldn't wanna go against you, you're a star, and Whitney,  I didn't want your performance to end.
Miley chose Moriah

Team Adam: Emily Luther singing Glitter in the Air by Pink vs. Adam Pearce singing Smoke on the Water by Deep Purple-- I was digging Adam's performance, he was true to who he is as an artist and it sounded great. I always seem to use the word authentic for rockers, but it was.  Emily is a great singer, but I feel like I don't know her, and Adam hinted at this in his comments. Blake said for him Emily won the knockout. Jen said Adam, your last note, what was that; Emily, your performance was really beautiful. Miley said, Adam, I felt more nerves today, and Emily, you sang incredibly.
Adam chose Emily and Miley stole Adam

The Voice Season 13: Mercy Me, It's the Knockouts!

Team Blake-- Esera Tuaolo singing Superstar by Leon Russell vs. Adam Cunningham singing Either Way by Chris Stapleton-- Jen said Esera you captured the moment, Adam you captivated me, and that felt like your song. Miley said the simplicity of your performance Adam was beautiful, you made it about your voice. Adam said Adam you won for your fans and Esera you made everyone, a fan or not, tune into you. Both of these artists are so incredible, and both so worthy of moving forward. Jen is right, Adam is absolutely captivating. Esera has that big, beautiful, powerful voice!
Blake chose Esera and Adam stole Adam!

Team Jennifer-- Lucas Holliday singing Tell It Like It Is by Aaron Neville vs. Shi'Ann singing Who's Loving You by Michael Jackson-- Miley said she loves Lucas but Shi'Ann won the knockout. Adam said Lucas is a freak and he only likes freaks. Blake felt Shi'Ann's vocal was very controlled and didn't think Lucas was as much.
Jennifer chose Shi'Ann

Team Adam-- Addison Agen singing Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth vs. Dennis Drummond singing All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendrix-- I am a fan of Addison's voice, but that song did nothing for her. It just wasn't a great choice. Already Dennis is my choice, he has rasp and authenticity in his voice. He knows who he wants to be as an artist. His guitar playing was great. Blake felt vocally Addison took that. Jennifer said Addison your voice sings that song, and Dennis your presence onstage is amazing. Miley said don't stop singing Addison, and Dennis you're the whole package, sick guitar player. Adam said you play the guitar from the heart Dennis, you're really talented. Addison, when you sing it feels like everything is going to be okay.
Adam chose Addison

Team Miley-- Janice Freeman singing I'm Goin' Down by Mary J. Blige vs. Karli Webster singing Blue Bayou by Linda Ronstadt-- Karli's voice sounded stunning. She has such a beautiful and distinct tone to her voice, and she seemed connected to the song.  Janice sang her heart out on that song. What a raw performance! Adam said I'm in love with both of you, Janice, you tell a story. Blake said you are both at the top of your game in your respective lanes. Jennifer said you both held your own. Miley said she is proud to be their coach.
Miley chose Janice

Team Jennifer: Davon Fleming singing I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe vs. Eric Lyn singing What's Goin' On by Marvin Gaye-- Eric's rendition of the song is jazz perfection, it's very styled from top to bottom. It's pleasing and impressive to listen to. Davon brought me somewhere else, his voice was just heaven sent. Adam said Davon you make me feel bad about myself, and Eric you're like another creature, I feel like you could lift off and fly away. Blake said I felt like I needed to hide my drink cause I was at church, you transformed the room. Jen said I take my hat off to both of you, you're both extremely gifted.
Jennifer chose Davon

Team Miley: Ashland Craft singing Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi vs. Chloe Kohanski singing Landslide by Fleetwood Mac-- Ashland is singing one of my fave ever songs. Of course, she put a feminine spin on it. She made it fierce. Chloe's performance was a little sleepy, but I thought the song choice was powerful. Blake said Ashland that was another pitch perfect performance, and Chloe, you're definitely connected to that song.
Miley chose Ashland and Jennifer and Blake stole Chloe.... Chloe chose Blake

I am looking out for Adam Cunningham, Janice Freeman, Davon Fleming, and Ashland Craft ;-)

The Voice Season 13: It's a Wrap on the Battles

Team Blake: Adam Cunningham vs. Natalie Stovall singing Boondocks by Little Big Town-- Natalie's voice was similar to Carrie Underwood but Adam's stage presence and vocal prowess can't be denied. Jen says that Natalie is cool looking but she'd go with Adam. Adam is also pro Adam and points out his strong stage presence.
Blake chose Adam

Team Jennifer: Eric Lyn vs. Ignatious Carmouche singing Unaware by Allen Stone-- Their voices were so unique yet so familiar to me. I was in love with this performance. I wish both of them could go through. Adam said I would stay with Ignatious cause you're a work in progress that knows no bounds. Blake felt Eric had more control in his voice, and that maybe Ignatious went off the rails a little bit.
Jen chose Eric

Team Miley: Ashland Craft vs. Megan Rose singing A Good Hearted Woman by LeAnn Rimes-- Both ladies are so powerful. Adam is still bummed that neither was on his team. Blake felt it was a pretty even battle. Jen felt that Ashland had the more standout voice.
Miley chose Ashland and Blake stole Megan

The Voice Season 13: The W.O.M.E.N. Dominate Tonight!

Team Adam: Brandon Brown vs. Jon Mero singing I Wish it Would Rain by The Temptations-- This battle felt so throwback to me, it felt like we were stepping back to Motown. Brandon sounded more the part but there is something so undeniable about Jon's experience and vocal skills. Blake said Brandon is a great singer and Jon, you're a once in a lifetime vocalist. Jen said it felt like a true battle. Miley said, Jon, I see the performer in you. Adam said Brandon embodied the song in that era. Jon, you have your own sound and experience under your belt.
Adam chose Jon

Team Blake: Red Marlow vs. Ryan Scripps singing Fishin' in the Dark by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band-- Both of them were fantastic! I think considering that they are opposite each other, they sound so good together. I gravitate to Red because he has a style that makes you sit up and pay attention. Jen liked Ryan's swag but said Red is her kinda guy all day long. Adam said you were both great, I think you guys are equal. Miley said Ryan you're where country music is now and Red you are Nashville.
Blake chose Red

Team Miley: Addison Agen vs. Karli Webster singing Girls Just Want to Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper-- Genuinely loved the arrangement; Addison is special and Karli has one of those pure voices. Blake said it sounded like two sad ladies that really wanted to have fun. Adam wished he was able to hear them more as individuals and hinted at stealing one of them. Jen said Addison got into a singing pose like she was gonna give her something and Karli has a classic, pure voice.
Miley chose Karli, and Adam and Jennifer Hudson are in it to steal Addison... Addison chose Adam

Team Blake: Anna Catherine DeHart vs. Kristi Hoopes singing Independence Day by Martina McBride-- Blake chose Anna

Team Jennifer: Alexandra Joyce vs. Jeremiah Miller singing One Call Away by Charlie Puth-- Jennifer chose Jeremiah

Team Adam: Emily Luther vs. Gary Carpentier singing Send my Love to Your New Lover by Adele-- Adam chose Emily

Team Jennifer-- Shi'Ann Jones vs. Stephan Marcellus singing Oh Darlin' by The Beatles-- Both are great! Miley is right, Shi'Ann's voice is ageless, she sounds like she has been doing this forever and yet she is only 15. With Stephan, there is so much possibility in terms of what he could do as an artist. Adam said they have unique and powerful qualities. Adam said he would pick Stephan. Blake said I've been doing this show for 100 years, Stephan, your voice cuts through, you have everyone's attention. Shi'Ann you could win this show.
Jen chose Shi'Ann and Miley stole Stephan

Team Adam: Anthony Alexander vs. Michael Kight singing I Feel It Coming by the Weeknd-- Anthony impressed me more because he took some risks. But maybe it was also impressive that Michael was as pitch perfect as he was. Blake thought it fit well for both of them. Anthony you have more range but you had some pitch issues. Michael you were at home on the stage. Jen said I love your voice Anthony. Miley said I didn't see an age difference, I might keep Anthony. Adam said this boils down to who I can see moving forward with tomorrow. Adam said Anthony is the raw singer. I am surprised no one stole Michael.
Adam chose Anthony

Team Miley: Janice Freeman vs. Katrina Ross singing W.O.M.A.N. by Etta James-- Wow, everyone was on their feet and rightfully so. That was a masterclass performance, their voices were incredible. Katrina clearly has no boundaries, her talent is just not measurable. Janice has so much class and control in her voice. Adam said these two women ripped the roof off the house. You're both phenomenal. Blake said Janice your voice is unforgettable, and Katrina if your voice wasn't so good, I'd send you to WWE. Jen said Katrina you made me so proud to be a woman, and Janice you have so much presence.
Miley choce Janice and Jen stole Katrina

Wow so many incredible contestants I'll be keeping up with...... I don't even think I can narrow it down.

The Voice Season 13: Mr. Jones LOVES the Battle Rounds

Team Jennifer: Davon Fleming vs. Maharasyi singing I'm Your Baby Tonight by Whitney Houston-- Both of them put on A+ performances. I would go with Davon, he was sharp, and I loved his attitude and his soul. Adam said, Davon I wanted you on my team and you were fierce. Maharasyi, you have an incredible voice. Blake said although Davon was a 4 chair turn, but Maharasyi you lived up to his level in that performance and that's a credit to you and your coach.
Jen chose Davon

Team Adam: Brandon Showell vs. Hannah Mrozak singing Cold Water by Major Lazer-- Both sang well, they blended together, and complimented each other. I'd lean towards Brandon but I think both of them are great and deserve to move forward. Adam said I have grown to love Brandon as a person and as a talent. Hannah, you're powerful and committed.  Both of you did exactly as you were supposed to do. Blake said that they were well matched and kept one upping each other.
Adam chose Hannah

Battles! Lightning Style!

Team Adam: Dave Crosby vs. Dylan Gerard singing Doctor My Eyes by Jackson Browne-- Adam chose Dylan

Miley said Mitchell your voice is so pitch perfect. Dennis your footwork is crazy and you're a great performer. Adam said you're both so awesome. Mitchell you sound like the original guy who sang this record and you're more in Blake's wheelhouse but Dennis there's something so special about you.
Blake chose Mitchell and Adam stole Dennis

I'm looking out for Mitchell and Dennis, Esera and Davon are dark horses in this competition

The Voice Season 13: These Battles Are Dangerous

Team J. Hud-- Lucas Holliday vs. Meagan McNeal singing My Perogative by Bobby Brown-- Kelly Rowland brought up the fact that both of them are 1 chair turns and that's crazy to me! Lucas is so flashy and soulful and I love it, the range in his voice is incredible. Meagan sings with such authority and her confidence and attitude is so cool when she sings and performs. I loved the way both of them navigated the stage. All the coaches are rightfully on their feet, both of them MUST move forward. If it were my team, I'd pick Lucas because it's more unlikely coming from him, but I think both are unreal. Miley said it was such a gift watching both of you. Adam said what in the hell was that? The happiness was infectious, that was amazing. Meagan, I had no idea how good you were. Lucas, I just wanna come touch you and make sure you exist. Blake said it was as good as it could be, Jennifer, God be with you. Jen said, you both were true to who you are.
Jen chose Lucas

Team Miley-- Moriah Formica vs. Shilo Gold singing American Woman by Lenny Kravitz-- Moriah to me embodied the song more, she bleeds authentic rocker to me. Adam said he'd have to go with Moriah. Blake said Moriah is a born rock star, and Shilo is an entertainer. Jen felt Shilo made it her own and Moriah has a definite presence and would also have to go with Moriah.
Miley chose Moriah

Team Blake-- Keisha Renae vs. Noah Mac singing I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry by Hank Williams-- OMG, I loved both of them. Noah's voice is so mature, he has definitely grown since the blinds. Keisha sang her heart out, her performance was so emotional. Both of them were throwbacks to another time. Jen said Noah you're an old soul, and Keisha your voice was so pure. Miley said your performance reminded me of 50's and 60's country and rock and roll. Adam said what you both do is really special and not of this time. Blake said you're two people that gave it everything you have. Noah there is so much honesty that comes with your voice, and Keisha you fly with your voice.
Blake chose Keisha, and J. Hud stole Noah! YES!!!

Team J. Hud-- Chris Weaver vs. Kathrina Feigh singing Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande-- Honestly, am not loving or liking either one. They're both over-singing. The fact that the coaches are praising this boggles my mind. Adam said Chris did not overpower Kathrina. Blake said they both had good control. Blake said here at B. Shel productions we don't believe in letting good talent get away.
Jen chose Chris, and Blake stole Kathrina!

Team Miley-- Brooke Simpson vs. Sophia Bollman singing You're a Big Girl Now by Bob Dylan-- Adam said Sophia, you have a lot of power and Brooke you do too, your power is more defined. Jen didn't realize Sophia had the voice she did and Brooke had a lot of presence. She felt a sisterhood. Blake said, Brooke you held the bar, and Sophia you stepped up. I loved both girls and felt that sisterhood that Jen was talking about. This truly was both ladies at their best. I didn't think I would love the song choice but I actually did. Brooke is my choice though because she has a definite maturity.
Miley chose Brooke

Team Adam-- Adam Pearce vs. Whitney Fenimore singing Stop Dragging My Heart Around by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty-- Whitney is good but a bit too folksy for me. Adam is an authentic rocker and I am so happy he came back to the show. Blake called Adam a true rocker, I'm going for Whitney but no one lost there. Jen liked Adam's edge and Whitney's presence, she'd go with Adam. Miley said Adam I love your presence and Whitney you've had a lot of growth. I'd do with Adam. Miley and Jen, I have to agree with you, I would also go with Adam. Adam said I have fallen in love with both of you and couldn't take my eyes off you guys.
Adam chose Adam, Blake and Miley.... in it to steal Whitney! Blake said here at B. Shel productions.... Whitney chose Miley

Stepped it up.... Noah Mac, Moriah Formica, and Whitney Fenimore..... continued to impress....... Adam Pearce, Keisha Renae, and of course Lucas Holiday

I can't wait to see what the competition brings for these contestants

The Voice Season 13: And it's a Wrap with the Blinds

Kristi Hoopes sang Heaven, Heartache, and the Power of Love by Trisha Yearwood-- Kristi is authentic country hippie, she has a lot of attitude and that sells her as a vocalist. Adam said you would be the only country artist on my team. Jenn and Blake turned as well. Blake sold himself as the real deal country artist. Kristi said in her heart and soul she had to pick Blake.
Kristi chose Blake, his team is full

Michael Kight sang Sugar by Maroon 5-- Adam was the only one who turned, clearly this was meant to be. I thought Michael's falsetto was a little shaky but it's nothing Adam can't fix. His bluesy rendition of the song was cool.
Adam chose Michael

Jeremiah Miller sang Slow Hands by Niall Horan-- I was unimpressed with this. I like this song but the interpretation fell short for me. Adam and Jenn turned and Jenn said she won The Voice U.K. last year.
Jeremiah chose Jenn, her team is full

Megan Rose sang Ode to Billie Joe by Bobbie Gentry-- Megan has a calming voice, I'd like to hear her sing something that tells a better story. Miley and Adam turned, both vying to get Megan on their team. Miley says she could have the first all girl team in Voice history! Adam is no match for this.
Megan chose Miley, her all girl team is full!

Gary Carpentier sang Home by Michael Buble-- Peformance was a little bit ordinary but the passion is definitely there. Gary's fiance breaks down crying backstage when Adam turns and Gary almost loses it on stage. He does have a smooth, full voice.
Adam chose Gary and Team Adam is full

The Blinds Continue: Season 13, Teams Almost Full!

Chloe Kohanski sang The Chain by Fleetwood Mac-- I actually loved her song choice and her voice was killer. She has that thick, raspy voice, it sounded so full. Blake and Miley turned, followed by Jen. Blake said you have a rock and roll voice, you sound unique and I'd love to have you on my team so bad. Miley said you really know who you are. Jenn said this is about owning your own voice. The coaches are really going at it for her!
Chloe chose Miley

Olivia Kay sang Ghost by Ella Henderson-- no one turned, her voice

Dennis Drummond sang She Talks to Angels by The Black Crows-- Adam and Blake turned around, Adam said this knit-wit turned around and now it's an old school battle. Blake said I like the fact that different genres are coming to Nashville. He said you have a deep growly rock and roll voice.. Adam said I think we're dynamic enough to work with anybody.
Dennis chose Blake

Ignatious Carmouche sang Latch by Disclosure and Sam Smith-- I am not digging the arrangement of the song but I think Ignatious has a killer voice. He has a strong range. Jen looked like she was about to cry. Ignatious said he was singing to Jen's heart.
Ignatious chose Jennifer

Rebecca Brunner sang Believer by Imagine Dragons-- Liked her voice, but the song seemed wrong all together. Blake turned at the last minute and she is lucky he saw some potential in her despite a poor song choice. Blake chose Rebecca

Brandon Brown sang Georgia on My Mind by Ray Charles-- Wow, everyone except Miley turned. This seemed 4 chair turn worthy to me. Adam thought the song was sung with subtlety, nuance, and soul. Jenn Hudson said she hear Donny Hathaway in his voice. Jenn said Adam lays across the chair and begs and Blake points to himself. Blake thought he sounded like Willie Nelson. I don't see what Blake is saying. I do love what Adam said about him having that nuance and soul in his voice.
Brandon chose Adam

Nathan Grahan-- no one turned

Whitney Fenimore sang Hold On We're Going Home by Drake-- I could see Adam thinking when she was singing because it reminded him of Christina Grimmie. Miley and Adam ended up turning. Miley made her all girl team pitch. Adam said that it made him smile to hear her singing that song like that. Whitney has a unique voice, it will be interesting to see where she takes this. Inspired by Songs About Jane.....
Whitney chose Adam

Ilianna Viramontes sang New Soul by Yael Naim-- Her voice cracked at a few points, but I think she is definitely coachable and has some good quirks in her voice. Miley and Blake turned. Blake said I love your voice, and I see how excited you were to see Miley. I love how you navigated the melody with perfect pitch. Adam actually thinks she will be popular on the show. Miley said if you were trapped in a box, who would you want to be trapped in a box with?
Ilianna chose Miley

Katrina Rose went to Team Miley
Natalie Stovall went to Team Blake
Ryan Scripps went to Team Blake

Meagan McNeal sang I Can't Feel my Face by The Weeknd-- Jenn was the only one who turned. Meagan is from Chicago, this is a perfect match! Meagan is a unique creature, her voice is different, her look is different. I love her vibe and how she just changed up the whole song.

Jon Mero sang Versace on the Floor by Bruno Mars-- 4 chair turn and this was a worthy one too! Wow, I loved his voice and his performance. His personality came through so well. Jenn said I felt like I was at your show. Miley said are you wearing bedazzled denim? I am too! Adam said you remind me of Prince. This is a step on the never ending staircase of your career. Jenn liked to see people own their moment. Blake said if I would have done some of those moves you did, I would have hyper extended my knee. I hit my button because you're an incredible singer.
Jon chose Adam

Who do I think is going far? Jon, Chloe, and Whitney

The Voice Season 14: Invincible Performers on the Blinds Tonight!

Anthony Alexander sang Redbone by Childish Gambino-- I am so upset Blake didn't push! He deserved 4 chairs. Anthony's voice is so good. His falsetto is so good, and there was a lot of soul and style in his voice. Jenn saw shades of Prince. Miley said that they are not far off from each other. Adam said his vision is so right and he is so sincere. Adam said I want to help you improve your falsetto and I am so passionate about you.
Anthony chose Adam

Sophia Bollman sang Invincible by Kelly Clarkson-- Blake and Miley turned. Interesting! Where was J Hud on this? Blake said you have an incredible pop voice. Miley said there were some moments that weren't as strong but she has definite range. Sophia said Blake would be such a cool dad.
Sophia chose Miley

Karli Webster sang You're So Vain by Carly Simon-- Adam and Miley turned right away. She has a unique sound, and her voice is a little bit old school. I am curious as to what she will sound  like singing a more contemporary song. Adam said the spirit of Carly Simon was in your performance, I believe you could go all the way. Miley said she'd like to take 70s songs and make them current.
Karli chose Miley

Stephan Marcellus sang Take Me to Church by Hozier--This was a hot mess at the beginning, but J Hud turned around and saved the day!
Jenn chose Stephan

Emily Luther sang Summertime by Ella Fitzgerald-- Another should have been 4 chair turn! Where was Miley? She was so authentic and true to who she is. Her voice was so throwback. Adam said he was so mesmerized that he almost forgot to push. Jenn felt like she had a great balance of everything. Blake said he really got into that performance, and he wanted a martini. No one has anyone like you on their team.
Emily chose Adam

Look out for Anthony and Emily, they are gonna be major factors in this competition.

Monday, October 2, 2017

Season 14: The Voice Week 2 of the Blinds Way Down We Go

Adam Cunningham sang Midnight Rider by The Allman Brothers-- Blake turned at the beginning at J Hud at the end. Adam is from Nashville, and his voice is record-able but not as unique. There's some soul in his voice a-la J Hud but he's a country rocker.
Adam chose Blake

Hannah Mrozak sang Starving by Hailee Steinfeld-- Blake, Jenn, and Adam all push quick. I like the tone in Hannah's voice and there's some soul in there as well that is really appealing. I think she is someone who will do well and has a chance to go far in this competition. Adam says Hannah would have an important spot on his team, and she should join him. Jenn questions why Adam is telling her what to do.
Hannah chose Adam

Shilo Gold sang Stay with me Baby by Lorraine Ellison-- Shilo has an interesting voice for sure, I do like her rasp but I almost feel like she needs to take better care of her voice. Vocally, she is more similar to Miley than Jenn, both of whom turn for her.
Shilo chose Miley

Samantha Rios sang Something's Got a Hold on Me by Etta James-- I actually loved this performance, and I am super upset that none of the coaches turned. I hope she comes back.

Noah Mac sang Way Down We Go by Kaleo-- Noah is so special, he will make it to the live shows. He has so much passion when he sings, and it's clear that he feels every note. This is someone who should have been a 4 chair turn. Adam and Miley missed the boat on this one, and they will regret it. Adam called not turning a missed opportunity for him. Miley called him HOT. Blake said his voice is powerful. J Hud called him passionate. And Blake said he has nothing but admiration for him and would love to be his coach.
Noah chose Blake

Davon Fleming sang Me & Mrs Jones by Amy Winehouse-- 4 Chair Turn! J Hud tosses her shoe. Blake says he is going to be in the finale. Jenn sings with him, and Adam thinks he doesn't stand a chance but tries anyway.
Davon chose Jenn

Kathrina Feigh sang Big White Room by Jessie J.-- Jenn and Blake have been going toe to toe all night. In this face off Jenn wins.
Kathrina chose Jenn

Montages.... (will come back to this later)

Addison Agen sang Jolene by Ray Lamontagne-- Adam and Miley go one on one here. It seems that they are squaring off a lot as well. Addison calls herself alternative folk. Adam compares her to Danielle Bradberry.
Addison chose Miley

Adam Pearce sang Hot Blooded by Foreigner-- Despite me not loving the song, I do love Adam's authentic rock voice. Adam and Miley turned, and Blake was team Miley this time around.
Adam chose Adam

Myles Frost sang My Cherie Amor by Stevie Wonder-- He is sounding pretty young and inexperience, he has a decent voice, but there isn't anything about it that would set him apart truly. Adam said we hear the good points, but we also hear the nerves. He invited Myles to come back.

Moriah Formica sang Crazy on You by Heart-- Four chair turn, and well deserved! It is absolutely insane that she is only 16; she has a mature sound. Adam said she is a pint sized powerhouse. J Hud said she wants her to be the best "you" that she can be on her team. Blake said this is all about having someone in your corner who believes in you. People like you keep me coming back to coach. Miley said you're getting to experience this at such a young age, and I think we can relate to each other a lot. Adam said you're an old soul and you have a good knowledge of rock and roll.
Moriah chose Miley

The Voice Season 14: I Can't Stop Loving the Blinds!

Keisha Renae sang I Can't Stop Loving You by Ray Charles-- 4 chair turn, but I didn't think it was justifiable. I want her to prove to me she is worthy of 4 chairs. I found the vocal pitchy and I did not love the song choice for her. I actually found the performance boring. Jennifer said you create your own lane and that's what I wanna help you do. Blake said I love you. Miley said I was raised in Nashville and I can help you blend country and pop.
Keisha chose Blake

Dylan Gerard sang Say You Won't Let Go by James Arthur-- Adam and Jennifer turned for him. I thought this was a strong vocal. I am not a fan of this song, but I tried hard to judge it on his voice. Adam liked his cool vibe, and Jennifer sees a lot of potential with him. She asked him to take the vocal up a half step and it honestly sounded amazing. Despite Jen's coaching .....
Dylan chose Adam

Maharasyi sang Tell Me Something Good by Chaka Kahn-- Jennifer and Miley turned, and Jen did a demo of her coaching skills which sealed the deal for Maharasyi. I think she had a good voice, definitely a soul singer. She needs to work on stage presence and song choice. This song choice was a little strange.
Maharasyi chose Jennifer

Marlo Wells sang Love Me Now by John Legend-- This is someone who actually deserved a chair and didn't get one. I loved the liberties he took with the song. I am not a huge fan of the John Legend version and I found myself liking this version. Jennifer said I am so shamed, I cannot even look at you sir.

Red Marlow sang Swingin' by John Anderson-- Miley and Blake turned, two country coaches. I would go with Blake if I was Red, but that's just me. Red met Blake years ago. Miley said my coaching will be about taking you to the top. Blake said let's not monkey around with this thing, let's do what's right. Red has an old school country style voice like a George Strait or Garth Brooks, I think he will have a strong following on this show because of his authenticity in terms of country music.
Red chose Blake

Ashland Craft sang You Are My Sunshine-- Her vocal is so strong! She is true county, similar to a Trisha Yearwood or Leann Rimes. There was a rasp in her voice that was so controlled. Adam said everything Miley has I have it too. Miley said Blake is the king of country, but I am the queen. Adam said I am not country, but I've been fighting this country fight for years, but I keep fighting. I think you're going to transcend the necessity to go to Blake's team. Blake said it's important to recognize your roots. Adam said this is so wrong that it could be right.
Ashland chose Miley

Ashland could have a big impact on this season..... will Miley keep her on her team?

The Voice Season 14: The Blinds Begin!

Chris Weaver sang Try a Little Tenderness by Otis Redding-- 4 chair turn of course! Adam is first to turn and he turns quick, followed by Jennifer who starts throwing shoes and Adam begins throwing clothes. Blake said I have won with pop, country, R&B artists, but I have never won with a drag queen. Miley said we can make sure that we pick the right songs for you and take you to the top. Jennifer said I feel I have that vision because I've already walked that path. Chris is one of those strong and memorable voices, I loved this rendition of the song.
Chris chose Jennifer

Mitchell Lee sang Hold My Hand by Hootie and the Blowfish-- Blake, Adam, and Jennifer turned. Adam said that singer has traversed a lot of areas with music. I think you can go far in this show. Blake said I love working with country and rock artist, I would love to have you on my team. Jennifer said it's amazing to see how comfortable you are. You have your own lane here. I liked Mitchell, his voice is authentic country rock. The rasp in his voice was great.
Mitchell chose Blake..... Adam congratulated Blake on an excellent acquisition

Janice Freeman sang Radioactive by Imagine Dragons-- Jennifer and Miley both turned. I loved her version of the song, I felt like it expressed to us who she is as an artist. She said cancer tried to hold her back and Jennifer and Miley got up on stage with her. Miley said I know that I am not an amazing  singer as Jennifer Hudson and I am still gonna fight for you. You can bring destiny and hope to the world.
Janice chose Miley

Xaris sang Don't Think Twice it's All Right-- No one turned for her. Adam said she was an old soul. Blake said he wished he could push his button.

Shi'ann Jones sang Drown in My Tears by Ray Charles-- Jennifer and Blake turned around. Jennifer told Blake not to turn around, he said he waited until she turned to turn. Blake said where are you from? He said why would I pick him as my coach? I've been doing this for 13 seasons, and it's all about you having the best performances every time you go on that stage. I think this young lady has potential but I thought her voice needs a lot of training and it will take some hard work.
Shi'ann chose Jennifer

Dave Crosby sang I Will Follow You Into the Dark by -- Adam turned right away, I find his voice too sleepy though. I wish he had picked a different song. I am actually kind of surprised that three people turned for him. His daughter sang on Little Big Shots, I think she is a better singer than him. Dave ended up going with Adam over Blake and Miley, makes sense from a style standpoint.
Dave chose Adam

Odiseas sang Papa's Got a Brand New Bag by James Brown-- Jennifer said it was too overcharacterized. I agree with her, it was too much. He should come back and just give the pure voice. Miley said I'm in love with your voice and you. Blake said it was out of his lane. Adam said third time is a charm, come back.

Esera Tuaolo sang Rise Up by Andra Day-- Adam said I felt your presence as you were singing, and I was like you're a big dude, and I am a total moron for turning around. Jennifer turned first and then Blake. Blake said I am a huge football fan and I am probably gonna drive that man crazy. Blake said if any of you bother me, I'm gonna send Eresa after your ass. I loved Esera's voice, Jennifer was right, I love how he executed those soaring notes, it sounded strong, controlled, it was great. I think he's gonna be a major threat this season.
Esera chose Blake

Brandon Showell sang There's Nothing Holding Me Back by Shawn Mendes-- LOVED, loved, loved Brandon! His voice had so much soul and nuance. He'll do well cause he's a throwback with a modern twist. Adam said whatever she (Jennifer) did I did it too..... cause Jennifer said she sang on cruise ships like Brandon did.
Brandon chose Adam

Lucas Holliday sang This Woman's Work by Maxwell-- Incredible voice and incredible performance. His falsetto was unreal and his full voice wasn't even believable. Shocked that Jennifer was the only person who turned. Where were the other coaches? Adam called him a genius. Jennifer said after that, we need to sing something together.

Brooke Simpson sang Stone Cold by Demi Lovato-- Another well deserved 4 chair turn! I love the emotion Brooke showed in this performance, she truly left it all out there. Her voice is so strong and so impactful. I truly loved it. Adam ran up and hugged her after her performance. Miley said I am a little speechless and Adam said I am not. Jennifer said who do you listen to? And she said all of you. Miley said I am invested and I'm gonna win this season, and I wanna win with you. Adam said most people who try and do what you do, shouldn't do it. He said there was so much soul, passion, and power. Adam said I want to lead you down the right path. Jennifer said you owned the song and meant the song. Blake said every now and then a singer comes across this stage who just needs an opportunity, and that's you.
Brooke chose Miley

I have my eye on Brooke and Lucas, even Brandon a little bit. Mitchell could be a dark horse.

The Voice Season 12: The Finale is Here! I'm Experiencing Deja Vu

Team Blake: Aliyah Moulden singing Never Be Lonely an original song-- For an original, this song sounded like it could be on the radio right now.

Team Adam: Jesse Larsen singing Taking it to the Streets by The Doobie Brothers-- I am unsure if I guy Jesse singing this exact song, but his vocal was strong, and by the end, he made me believe it. Alicia said your voice has never sounded better. I love and respect what you and Adam are doing together. Adam said it was the best he has ever sounded, and that he might be a little biased but he should win this whole thing.

Team Alicia: Chris and Alicia singing Diamonds and Pearls by Prince-- This song felt so perfect for them to sing together. Stylistically it felt so close to who both of them really are. I loved the range in Chris's voice, the low lows and and those BIG notes. He and Alicia never overpowered each other, Chris's voice in particular was tender. Wow on this one.

Team Blake: Lauren Duski singing The Dance by Garth Brooks-- This was a great song for Lauren to do, but I was thinking she could have done something a little more controversial, maybe like Thunder Rolls. Adam said we've all loved your voice from the beginning, you have a familiar comforting voice. Throughout the whole competition, it has been such a pleasure and joy to watch you, and I am still mad you're not on my team. Blake said I can't stop smiling right now. It's one of my favorite songs and you made me feel like I am hearing this for the first time.

Team Blake: Aliyah and Blake singing Dancing in the Street by Martha Reeves and the Vandellas-- I thought this song was really fun for Aliyah to do. It did seem a little redundant to be honest,  I feel like she's done this before, but being that it was a duet, it had a different dimension to it.

Team Alicia: Chris singing Money on You an original song-- I enjoyed the fun and personality Chris brought to this original song. At first I didn't like it but the song had a lot of different twists and turns in it. Alicia said watching you perform, I am already at your show. There's an electricity that happens when you're here.

Team Adam: Jesse and Adam singing Let's Go Crazy by Prince-- This performance was iconic. I loved the vocals, the song choice, the guitar. Everything was amazing, loved this!

Team Blake: Lauren and Blake singing There's a Tear in My Beer by Hank Williams-- I think if I were them I would have done something more serious. I liked the playfulness of the song, but probably not finale material. Lauren is going last so clearly she is the favorite in this.

Team Adam: Jesse Larsen singing Woman an original song-- Chris Stapleton cowrote that song which is so cool. The song sounded so authentically him; he needs to go on tour with Chris Stapleton right now! Adam said I want to give back to that intangible thing called The Voice.

Team Blake: Aliyah Moulden singing Signed Sealed Delivered by Stevie Wonder-- Blake said every time you get on that stage you make people smile and you bring them into this moment.

Team Blake: Lauren Duski singing Deja Vu an original song that she cowrote-- Actually loved this more than any other original song. She needs to actually put this on her first album, it's perfect. The lyrics are amazing. Blake said let me congratulate you for writing your first number one song, that was beautiful and perfect.

Team Alicia: Chris Blue singing Rhythm Nation by Janet Jackson-- Chris brought the house down with that song, it was so relevant, and the performance just bled authenticity. Alicia said you just showed everyone that you are everything and there is nothing you can't do.

The Voice Season 12: The Top 8 Take me to the King

Team Gwen: Hunter Plake sang With or Without You by U2-- I liked this song on Hunter; I liked that for once he didn't change the song dramatically. Blake said that is your best vocal performance on the show. You honored the original, but you don't sound like anyone else. Gwen wants America to realize how talented Hunter is.

Duet: Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson sang If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys-- Beautiful duet, this song fit both of them so well. All the coaches were on their feet, that was a vocal master class! Yay for being able to vote for that duet and have it count!

Team Blake: T Soul sang Ain't No Way by Aretha Franklin-- I like that T Soul returned to his roots last week and stayed there this week. This song and his whole performance was so throw back and I loved the soulfulness. Alicia said Ain't No Way is one of my all time favorite songs ever, T Soul you have a showmanship that comes from you. Blake said I am so proud of you, you told me about your dream to be on The Voice and here you are in the semi finals.

Team Gwen: Brennley Brown sang Suds in the Bucket by Sara Evans-- Loved Ms. Brennley's attitude in this song. It was a little strange that she did a song so niche like this in the semifinals. I would have done this a couple weeks ago. Blake thought it was the right time for her to do that song. Gwen thinks it is easier to do an emotional song than to do a song like the one Brennley did tonight. Yes, and no Gwen, I don't completely agree with that. Doing an emotional song forces you to be vulnerable if you're doing it correctly. And if you're not, you come across as fake or forced instead of emotional.

Duet: Hunter Plake and Aliyah Moulden sang Let it Go by James Bay-- Liked the song idea, however, the performance itself sounded like there were some pitch issues.

Team Blake: Lauren Duski sang Ghost in this House by Allison Krauss-- This was yet another haunting performance by Lauren. It felt really and she yet again showed us she is a skilled storyteller. Adam said grace and simplicity is going out of style, and it's so great to see you do just that. Blake said that is a pure country song, and I cannot wait to see how country music fans respond to it on iTunes.

Duet: T Soul and Jesse Larsen sang I Wish by Stevie Wonder-- That was the best duet yet! I loved the soul, the beat, the syncopation. It was flawless.

Team Alicia: Chris Blue sang Take me to the King-- The vocal was a tiny bit out of control at times, but when he reigned it in it was thoughtful, real, and passionate. It was a genuine plea, "take me to the king". Alicia said you represent our frustrations, troubles, and pain; you tapped into that. You got out of your way, that was so moving.

Team Alicia: Vanessa Ferguson sang Superstar by Leon Russell-- This song and this performance could not have been more perfect and touching. Vanessa put her own spin on this song and really made it her own. Her phrasing was just beautiful. Alicia begged everyone to vote for Vanessa.

Duet: Lauren Duski and Brennley Brown sang Good Hearted Woman by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson-- Fun performance, not the best of the night for the duets, but certainly entertaining.

Team Adam: Jesse Larsen sang I Was Wrong by Chris Stapleton-- This performance was Jesse's stamp in the finale. If he doesn't make it, it just won't be right. This vocal and performance absolutely bled authenticity and realness. There was soul for days.

Team Blake: Aliyah Moulden sang I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe-- Aliyah looked like she was soaking this performance in and relishing every moment. She looked so happy and so free, this was a great song choice for her. This young lady may have solidified her spot in the final as well. Blake said I signed up to do this show in Season 11, and I hoped that someday I would get to work with an artist like you. Someone who we can see development and growth, and that is you.

The Voice Season 12: The Top 10 Are Unforgettable

Team Adam: Jesse Larsen sang Jungle Love by The Tyme-- I loved the way this performance came together. Jesse played the crowd, his voice was great, his guitar skills even better. I loved this. I hope going first doesn't hurt him. Alicia said was it your idea to say my name at the end, and Jesse said that was all me. Adam said that song was jazz, sex appeal, funk, it was nasty.

Team Blake: Aliyah Moulden sang Jealous by Labrinth-- Gwen loved the tone in her voice. Blake said I couldn't be more proud of you. You did what you needed to, and you sang that song about your dad. You got lost in the moment. Acknowledging the fact that Aliyah cried, I hope it didn't hurt her. I thought the vocal was sincere, and I hope this isn't the end for her, because she is a strong artist, never mind her age.

Team Alicia: Vanessa Ferguson sang Doo Wop That Thing by Lauryn Hill-- This has been one of the most genuine performances I have ever watched on the voice. It was real, dirtied up, and I loved how Vanessa just really channeled Lauryn. Adam was jamming. He said no one ever does Lauryn Hill and that album is one of his favorites of all time. He said he loved her rapping, and it's cool that Lauryn is proud of her for doing that. Alicia said you're a poet, mc, lyricist, musician, and an artist.

Team Adam: Mark Isaiah sang Sign of the Times by Harry Styles-- Gwen said it sounded so good, and I am glad you got to do that, because we saw a different side of you. Adam said you get better every week and no one works harder than you. I felt like there were some pitch issues at the top of the performance but I think Mark overcame that, and I hope he stays out of the bottom three this week.

Team Alicia: Chris Blue sang 24k Magic by Bruno Mars-- 3 out of 4 coaches were on their feet. I love the song so much, is it 100% Chris Blue's style? No. But, he pulled it off, and made it his own style. Blake said people must be deaf or blind if they don't get how talented you are. You're definitely going to be in the finale. Alicia said he is out here celebrating life, doing his thing. You just showed me and everyone that you're unstoppable.

Team Adam: Lilli Passero sang Unforgettable by Nat King Cole-- Didn't love the performance as much as I thought I would. I didn't enjoy how she was sliding into some of the notes, and scooping into them. It just sounded a little bit sloppy. I think she was trying to sound classic and it didn't have that effect. Of course, Adam and Alicia both loved the performance.

Team Blake: Lauren Duski sang Tell Me Why by Wynonna-- I thought this was a bit of an odd song choice, but Lauren is such a great singer, she may have pulled it off yet again. I feel like she needs to do a contemporary country song. Gwen said she loved hanging out with Lauren and loved it. Blake said you are the missing piece of country music right now. This momentum that's happening right now is so exciting, I am so happy for you.

Team Gwen: Hunter Plake sang Higher Love by Steve Winwood-- Whoever put together the arrangement did a great job. The song was given a cool contemporary feel, I loved it. Adam said you're very connected to music and that's very obvious. Gwen said she is happy to know and watch Hunter. He is so happy and comfortable on stage.

Team Blake: T Soul sang At This Moment by Billy Vera-- Alicia said you are really genuine, and your voice has its own stamp on it. Blake said I believe you bought yourself a ticket in the top 8, that's the best you've sounded so far. T Soul needed a performance like that and he came up big. That was flawless, the vocal was stunning, and he needs to always do songs that keep with this style.

Team Gwen: Brennley Brown sang Anyway by Martina McBride-- Blake said you will continue to defy the odds, your voice keeps getting better and better. Gwen said you're so gifted, beautiful, and talented. Brennley continues to impress me, she improves every week and doesn't flinch at a challenge.

The Voice Season 12: The Top 11 Show Us How to Love Them

Team Alicia: Stephanie Rice sang Behind Blue Eyes by the Who-- It was a cool song choice, and I liked what she did with it. She really breathed herself into the vocal. Alicia said it really came through that Stephanie felt like the song described her life.

Team Blake: Aliyah Moulden sang Take It Back by Reba McEntire-- I didn't love the song choice as much as I thought I would. The growl part I felt like was overdone. The style of the song was all her, and the end of the performance was strong. Which is good because that's what people will remember. Alicia loved the growl in her voice. Blake said I am blown away and America is falling in love with you because how can they not.

Team Blake: T Soul sang Lay Me Down by Sam Smith-- I love this song, it is my favorite Sam Smith song. I found the performance comfortable and in the zone for him. However, I thought his vocal was somewhat pitchy. Blake called T Soul a beast and said his performance was unbelievable.

Team Adam: Lilli Passero sang Town Without Pity by Gene Pitney-- It was a very throwback performance. I felt like the only thing I wanted more from her in terms of her feeling the lyric she is singing. She has the technique down, now she just needs that other part. Alicia said I was so feeling that, it was so relevant. I loved it. Adam said I'm so happy and I felt like we were in another time, and it's hard to do that without feeling contrived or sincere.

Team Gwen: Hunter Plake sang All I Want by Kodaline-- Wow, his range is pretty incredible. I think the song should have been a little bit more mainstream, but the lyric was relevant. I feel like he is the most ready of anyone to make a record. Adam said I love your voice, it's so distinct. Gwen said this a real artist who writes his own music. I can't believe you're on my team and I can't wait to buy your album.

Team Alicia: Vanessa Ferguson sang Diamonds by Rihanna-- Vanessa has been the most consistent performer on the show. She lost her pitch at one point in the song though which was surprising. Blake said I have always been most intimidated by you sis. Alicia said your vocals are so effortless.

Team Blake: Lauren Duski sang Somewhere in my Broken Heart by Randy Travis and Billy Dean-- Liked Lauren in this more than anything she has sung before. She did not lack emotion and her voice just resonated, there was an unmatched sincerity. My only criticism would be that I'd like to see her sing something upbeat. Adam said you're gonna be in the finale, you do it so effortlessly and in a classy way. You're incredible. Blake said your voice is classic but you don't sound like anyone else.

Team Adam: Mark Isaiah sang How to Love by Lil Wayne-- Tell you what, the song was a good idea. Adam said Mark chose it. Christina Grimmie did this song when she was on the show and she left me breathless, Mark was impressive, don't get me wrong. I think it just lacked sparkle. Gwen said you're already in my heart, and that feels like your song. You're so gifted. Adam said I was a little worried, that's a tough song. I just trusted you would come out here and blow me away. He does not deserve to be in the bottom again.

Team Adam: Jesse Larsen sang Human by Rag and Bone Man-- Probably my fave on the show end of story. Jesse is so soulful, and I will say it every week. Loved the song choice, and loved his authenticity. Adam said Jesse is not a popstar, you come out here and you sing your face off, you're an incredible talent and the best singer in this competition.

Team Gwen: Brennley Brown sang River by Joni Mitchell-- Brennley always resonates with me. I feel every note and her feelings are mine when she sings. This was flawless, if this girl is not in the finals, it will be criminal. How can she be that young and that talented? She just has it! Adam said I'm so happy you're with Gwen, it's cool to hear you sing a Joni Mitchell song. I loved your refreshing originality. Gwen said there is no way you're 15 and you can channel a Joni Mitchell song that's so revered and so deep.

Team Alicia: Chris Blue sang When a Man Loves a Woman by Percy Sledge-- It's a classic song that's been overdone, but that wasn't overdone that was perfect. Alicia said I was blessed to hear your voice, I feel like I watching Marvin Gaye, Sam Cook, Nat King Cole, that was so powerful.

Best of the Night: Brennley, Jesse, Chris, toss up between Lauren and Hunter

Bottom 3 Prediciton: Stephanie, T Soul, Vanessa
