Team Alicia: Christian Cuevas sang To Worship You I Live by Israel Houghton-- Adam said no one wears his emotions on his sleeve the way Christian does. Blake said you have the ability to make us feel what you're feeling and that's the mark of a great artist. Alicia said I am so proud of you Christian, you choosing this song and what it represents to you as a person and as a man. It was a beautiful and gorgeous performance, thank you for giving your heart to us. I loved this performance, it felt so emotional to me, and even though the vocals weren't perfect, his artistry was shining.

Team Miley: Ali Caldwell sang I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston-- Alicia loved the way she didn't let the legendary quality of the song shake her. Miley said you sang as beautifully as you looked. I liked that she put her own signature on the performance.

Team Adam: Brendan Fletcher sang Angel by Sarah McLachlan-- Blake said you've had the most consistent growth over the show, your voice is so infectious and and gravely and warm. Adam said vote for him if you want something different. I am so immensely proud of him, it's so him. I loved Adam's comment about Brendan, I think he has that kind of voice that lends itself to a well written song. I felt like that performance was so real and so heartfelt. I literally felt every word.

Team Alicia: We McDonald sang Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara-- Miley likes how she used the stage to enhance her performance. Alicia said that We is her own artist and she comes up here and delivers every time. Loved We putting her stamp on this, the song fit her personality and who she is beautifully.

Team Miley: Aaron Gibson sang Everything I Do I Do it for You by Bryan Adams-- Miley thanked Aaron for doing that song for her. I actually thought this was a nice departure from what he usually does. I feel like there's a chance he might not be in the bottom again.

Team Adam: Josh Gallagher sang Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina-- Adam said that was technically the best performance of the night so far. You guys have to vote for Josh. Josh impressed me tonight, that was an old school song and he made it feel very current. It was probably his best performance yet.

Team Blake: Sundance Head sang Love Can Build a Bridge by The Judds-- Blake said I literally think everything great right now. What can I say about Sundance? You come out here every week and blow people away, you have so much passion, and so much talent. Congratulations! All four coaches were on their feet, that performance was absolutely inspiring. Sundance definitely deserves to be in the finale. This is going to be tough.

Team Adam: Billy Gilman sang I Surrender by Celine Dion-- Adam said he is so humble and so hardworking. Billy always seems to take it up a notch in every performance and every vocal. Like Sundance, he is a sure thing for this final.

My Final Four:

Billy, Sundance, Brendan, and it's either going to be Christian, Josh, or We

Team Adam: Brendan Fletcher sang True Colors by Cyndi Lauper-- That was powerful. Brendan took me from being a fan to being a believer, I love that he took a classic 80s song and made it relevant now. Miley said you made that my favorite new song that I am going to listen to on repeat.

Team Blake: Sundance Head sang Me and Jesus by Tom T. Hall-- Sundance is another guy that completely belongs in this competition. I loved how that was like a gospel song in church. Everyone has their own relationship with God and your performance means a lot.

That was so powerful, and I think it was a breakout moment on our stage.

Team Miley: Aaron Gibson singing Hurt by Nine Inch Nails-- Adam said your voice is crazy and bravo to your coach cause that was the perfect song choice for you. Miley said I pretend I never listen to Adam but I do, he said he wanted to see you care, and you do. Team Blake: Courtney Harrell singing What I Did For Love from A Chorus Line-- I loved her performance, it was very obvious that she is connected to this song. I did feel that in certain points, it sounded like she was screaming. Blake said there is no one who wants this more than Courtney. Blake thinks she will definitely be around for another week.

Team Adam: Josh Gallagher singing Drunk on Your Love by Brett Eldredge -- Miley said I love the way you interact with the audience on stage, I felt like we were at your concert. Blake said you never hit a bad note, it's so good, and I'm happy for you. Adam said that is impressive and you made me feel something, it felt pure, real, and honest. You're everything that "the voice" stands for.

Team Alicia: Christian Cuevas singing Roseanna by Toto-- Miley said it was great that he brought a different style and energy to the song. That was such a cool song and such a great arrangement of that song. Blake said I was on the edge of my seat. You have to stay in this competition, you're such a badass.

Team Miley: Darby Walker singing You Don't Own Me by Lesley Gore-- I did not love this performance at all. I felt like her vocal control was not very good at all. Definitely felt shouty and off pitch at points. Alicia liked her falsetto at the end and Miley spoke a lot about the meaning of the song.

Team Adam: Brendan Fletcher singing The River by Bruce Springsteen-- I agree with Blake, Brendan has a great storytelling voice. He really makes us feel the meaning of this song. Blake actually says he is jealous that Brendan is on Adam's team and wants to hear him sing a country song. Adam tells everyone that Brendan has really got it and America has to vote for him.

Team Alicia: We McDonald singing Must Be Love on the Brain by Rihanna-- We is singing one of my fave songs on the radio right now and one of my fave ever Rihanna songs. This was a tour de force performance in which he did not make one misstep. Blake said as great as you were as a kid, you're a million times better as an adult, you've held on to your talent. Adam said you're truly special, that's why all four coaches were on their feet, this is just the beginning for you.

Team Blake: Austin Allsup singing Do Right Woman, Do Right Man by Aretha Franklin-- This was one of my favorite performances of the night. I felt like it bled authenticity; it just felt so real. The Voice Season 11: The Last of The Knockouts Stun

Team Blake: Austin Allsup singing Breakdown by Tom Petty vs. Gabe Broussard singing It Will Rain by Bruno Mars-- All the coaches loved Gabe's control, but couldn't stop complimenting Austin on his grit and just how seasoned and professional he is, like he's been doing this his whole life. I feel like maybe, just maybe Gabe is doing this too soon, he should definitely come back if he's able.
Blake chose Austin

Team Miley: Darby Walker singing Shake It Off by Florence and the Machine vs. Maye Thomas singing Closer by Tegan and Sara-- I love Maye, wow, she impressed me. She is kind of like a Lady Gaga. Her voice is strong. I think I would give this knockout to her. Adam said Maye's performances were so well put together, and Darby you're so cute, sweet, and wonderful. Blake said this is as Miley as it gets. Blake said Maye had the more consistent vocal. Alicia said Darby's organic energy at 17 is awesome, and Maye I was riveted by you the whole time. Miley said Maye watching you is an experience, that was a home run, Darby, you did everything I asked, you nailed it.
Miley stunningly chose Darby

Team Adam: Brendan Fletcher singing Soulshine by The Allman Brothers vs. Nolan Neal singing Love is Your Name by Steven Tyler-- Miley couldn't decide but said she would go to a Nolan concert, and Brendan you're the type of voice I listen to back home. Adam chose Brendan

Team Alicia: Sa'Rayah singing Ain't Nobody by Chaka Khan vs. Michael Sanchez Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers-- I can tell that Michael's home is the piano and his performance was so good and so natural, I loved it. Sa'Rayah just lit the place up. Adam said with Sa'Rayah the catwalk is the stage, and with Michael you are so much more dope than what you should be. Alicia chose Sa'Rayah

Team Blake: Dana Harper singing You Give Me Something by James Morrison vs. Karlee Metzger singing Invincible by Kelly Clarkson-- I loved Dana, and I think she is really different. Team Blake: Bindi Liebowitz singing  vs. Courtney Harrell singing River Deep Mountain High by Tina Turner-- I was impressed with Courtney, there literally seemed to be no limit to her voice. She belted the entire way through yet never sounded out of breath. There was tons of passion in her performance, I believed her. Bindi was good, I love her rasp and growl but for some reason, I didn't believe her. Adam said Bindi has confidence and that's what makes her great. Courtney you should never be singing backup for anyone again. Alicia thought Courtney grabbed this because she showed a little more than Bindi did. Blake said Courtney is going to be a problem for these other teams.
Blake chose Courtney

Team Adam: Billy Gilman singing Fight Song by Rachel Platten vs. Ponceano Seone singing I See Fire by Ed Sheeran-- Ponciano may have had his best performance ever, but it seems like Billy can't stop, his performance was so natural and organic. Alicia loved the timber in Josh's voice, and said she felt Sundance's performance. Miley felt like there is a place on country radio for Josh, and loved that he gave so much of himself to her song. Adam said Josh you've gotten better and better and better, sky's the limit, and Sundance, you came out guns a blazin'.
Blake chose Sundance and Adam took no time stealing Josh! Amazing!

Team Alicia: Kylie Rothfield singing Hound Dog by Big Mama Thornton vs. Whitney & Shannon singing I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz-- I felt like Kylie took the direction from Faith and Tim really well. It definitely lived up to the swampy sound that they seemed to be going for. The girls are not as strong individually as they are together. Miley said Kylie there is no one on the show like you, and she thought Whitney & Shannon were great together. Adam said he might go with Kylie cause he's intrigued by her vibe.
Alicia chose Kylie

Team Miley: Ali Caldwell singing No Ordinary Love by Sade vs. Lauren Diaz singing Rise Up by Andra Daye-- Lauren's voice was almost overly breathy, I know the song is great, but I don't think it was right for her. Ali is someone who is going to go so far in this, she picked a song that just really spoke to me, and I think so many people. Adam said Ali you could win this, I love you, and to say that is an understatement. Lauren, I connect with your performance, but I would go with Ali. Blake said I tried to think like Miley. Miley chose Ali

Team Adam: Dave Moisan singing Like I Can Sam Smith vs. Simone Gundy singing Midnight Train to Georgia by Gladys Knight and the Pips-- I felt like the Sam Smith song wasn't right for Dave, it didn't seem in mind stylistically. Blake said he would go with Simone, so would I. I thought she was soulful and there was lots of feeling in that performance. Alicia didn't think Dave chose the best song for his voice. Miley said Adam has a tough choice ahead.
Adam chose Simone

Team Alicia: Courtnie Ramirez singing If I Were a Boy by Beyonce vs. We McDonald singing No More Drama by Mary J. Blige-- Not loving the slowness of Courtnie's performance, I also didn't love the song on her. Wow, We gave me chills! She has an amazing voice, her performance was flawless, I felt every note, I had tears. Miley said Courtnie outdid herself, and We had newfound confidence. Adam said We, we love all of you, and Courtnie you're coming into your own. Blake said We give me some of your talent, and Courtnie you have a charisma that makes you special.
Alicia chose We

Team Adam: Riley Elmore singing Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble vs. Jason Warrior singing I Want You by Luke James-- I genuinely liked both performances. This is hard, I feel like both of them should move forward. Alicia liked the playfulness of Riley's song, she said Jason is in the zone and hitting falsetto notes. Alicia chose Whitney and Shannon

Team Adam: Bindi Liebowitz vs, Brendan Fletcher singing Home by Marc Broussard-- I agree with Adam's assessment and Blake's actions. Bindi and Brendan were well matched and Adam made the amazing point that a female vocalist doesn't have to have range to be good. He compares her to Rihanna and said Brendan's vocal was like thunder. Blake agrees.
Adam chose Brendan and Blake stole Bindi

The Voice: Season 11 The Battles Continue!

Team Adam: Johnny Rez vs. Nolan Neal singing Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel-- I liked both guys, I thought the song limited them a little bit. I almost feel like it was a disservice to how talented they really are. Blake would go with Johnny, and Alicia would go with Nolan. Johnny was more of a surprise to me but both of them are great. Adam said he had to go with who he was more connected with.
Adam chose Nolan

Alicia chose Kylie and Miley stole Josh

Team Blake: Christian Fermin vs. Gabe Broussard singing The Reason by Hoobastank-- It's definitely crazy that Gabe is only 15. Alicia said there was a great richness in Gabe's voice, she liked the rifts in Christian's voice. Miley said it still blows her mind that Gabe is only 15. Blake likes both of them but recognizes he has to make a choice.
Blake chose Gabe

Team Miley: Aaron Gibson vs. Sa'Rayah singing I'll Take Care of You by Bobby Bland-- I feel like this was the best battle of the night. I figured it out! Aaron Gibson sounds like Dave Matthews! They were both beyond amazing and it was out of both of their comfort zones but they conquered this. I loved the chemistry between them. Blake said Sa'Rayah you were born to sing that song, and Aaron every coach loves your voice. Alicia said she is proud both of them are here singing. Miley said Sa'Rayah I feel like I have given you enough to help you move forward, and Aaron you need me to help you spread your wings a little bit more.

Adam chose Natasha

Blaine Long sang Have a Little Faith in Me-- Miley and Blake both turned, followed by Adam. Blaine surprised me, his performance was so strong. Miley loved his simplicity. Kylie Bunby is Ginny Baker who makes HISTORY when she is called up from the minor leagues to play for the San Diego Padres. Of course, the media coverage is crazy and Ginny does not like the attention at all. For it's part, MLB has been extremely supportive of the series.

The Voice: Season 11 The Blinds Continue

Sa'rayah sang Drown in my Own Tears by Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin-- Miley and Alicia turned. What happened to Adam and Blake? Miley made a lackluster pitch for Sa'rayah. Alicia said you blew me all the way back to the galaxy with your voice. Miley said she's not the obvious choice. I loved this girl, to me, this was a 4 chair turn, and I cannot understand why all coaches didn't turn for her. Her voice was so special, and just oozed emotion. She is one to watch.
Sa'rayah chose Miley

Ethan Tucker sang Roxanne by The Police-- Wow, another shocker, Blake and Adam turned, and he ended up choosing Blake! Ethan chose Blake because he felt he would challenge him musically. Blake laughed at Adam saying you said I think we would get along musically, what does that mean? I thought Ethan was okay, he had a rock/ reggae sound that was kind of interesting so it will definitely be cool to see how he develops that.
Ethan chose Blake

Adam said Alicia just dropped the mic on us but I have done things in the past five/ six years to help people win this show.
We chose Alicia

I love seeing him mature, Blake and Alicia turned too! 4 chairs, totally deserved. Blake said I know you, now you found your sound and you know where you are supposed to be. Miley said let me take care of you. Billy opened for Miley's dad. Adam said he turned first and now he isn't sitting down til Billy chooses him. Alicia said what she loves most is that he is now the person that he wants to be. Adam believes he can win the whole thing.
Billy chose Adam

Nathalie Vincent sang Hold Back the River by James Bay -- No one turned, Adam went up and hugged her and Miley joined them and they all said she should come back.

Miley felt like she was at her show like a rock and roll Dolly Parton.
Sophia chose Miley

Brendan Fletcher sang Jolene by Ray Lamontagne-- Adam and Alicia turned, then Miley. Alicia sees his authenticity, Miley thinks he is rad, and Adam said his voice could be the voice. I like Brendan's sound, it's very blues, folk, and rock. I loved it.

Alicia turned first of course, followed by Miley and Blake. Adam didn't turn. Blake said I am willing to make an ass of myself to prove that I wanna be your coach. Miley said, sing Alicia and go with me, it's just crazy. Blake said I don't accept that you're gonna be on Alicia's team. Alicia started singing If I Ain't Got You. The Voice: Season 11-- The Blinds Begin

Jason Warrior sang Living for the City by Stevie Wonder-- Jason has a big voice and earns turns from Alicia and Adam. Alicia reminds Jason of his mom, he had a tough upbringing and she was his rock. I guess that appealed to him because, Jason chose Alicia.

Dave Moisan sang Sex and Candy my Marcy Playground-- Dave used to be a swimmer and swan against Michael Phelps! I actually really like Dave's authentic rock sound, he has that smooth, yet edgy voice. He receives a four chair turn, well deserved. He says he met Maroon 5 years ago. Miley hugs him, Adam promises he won't try to make Dave like him. None of that works.
Dave chooses Alicia

Courtnie Ramirez sang Mama Knows Best by Jessie J-- Courtnie for me is someone who has tons of potential. I love her voice, I just think she needs to work on her dynamics. Miley and Alicia turn, Adam considered it, but said he wanted to see Miley and Alicia duke it out. Miley loves her swag, and Alicia says her voice was so alive. At the end though, it was Miley selling youth that helped seal the deal.
Courtnie chose Miley

Sundance Head sang I've Been Loving You Too Long by Otis Redding-- I knew I remembered Sundance from somewhere, he was on American Idol! I genuinely liked this guy and I still like him now. He's straight up country and Adam and Blake turn for him. Sundance admits he was really nervous and promises he'll do better next time. Alicia asks where he learned to sing and he says "you" and sings a line from her song.
Sundance chose Blake

Maggie Renfrew-- No Turns but super humble, hope she comes back.

Ali Caldwell sang Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande-- Everyone turns for her, and truthfully, I didn't love her as much as the coaches did. Ali surprisingly chose Miley, which I completely don't get. I would have chosen Alicia or Adam if I were her. Ali chose Miley

Riley Elmore sang The Way You Look Tonight by Michael Buble-- Adam and Blake turned almost immediately. I love Riley, he is super talented, and his voice is special. What he does is outside of his time. Adam said he loves that song and sings it like once a week. Blake said if I could come back as anyone, it would be Dean Martin. Blake said you have an open lane ahead of you, and the only problem is you're about to pick the wrong coach. Adam then goes on stage and duets with Riley.
Riley chose Adam

Dana Harper sang Jealous by Nick Jonas-- Dana has a very deep and full voice. Alicia turned, then Blake, then Adam. Alicia said she hears Dana's life and relates to her. Adam feels like Dana has everything. Blake said she needs to explore that lower area of her voice, he wants to guide her.
Dana chose Blake

Gabe Broussard sang Lonely Night in Georgia by Mark Broussard-- Wow, I loved the song voice, his vocal style, and the rasp in his voice. Blake turned early, and Miley turned at the end. It's crazy that he is 15 years old. Miley said you don't sound 15, I want you on my team. Blake said you sounded like such a friggin stud. I've been waiting for you. I want you on my team bad.
Gabe chose Blake

Chris Cron sang Never Tear Us Apart by -- Wow, I am shocked that no one turned. Alicia thought his voice was beautiful, she wanted to feel it more. Adam thinks he has a great voice, and he should come back.

Christian Cuevas sang How Am I Supposed to Live Without You by Michael Bolton-- I loved the emotion in Christian's voice. Miley predicted what Blake would say.... Blake said I am fan regardless of if you choose me. Alicia wants to know where he got the emotion and she said she really felt him. Adam said your emotional sincere way you were singing made me excited. I want someone who can convey what's in their heart and you blew my mind.
Christian chose Alicia

The Olympics: Day 15 Rio

The final day of competition in Rio was full long distance races, a couple of relays, and a diving event where a US champion hoped to repeat his success. In the relays, the US Team shined brightest striking gold in the men's and women's 4x400m. Jamaica, this time around, could only be second best. This last day of competition proved one thing unequivocally, Team USA is a force to be reckoned with.

The Olympics: Day 14 Rio

Jenn Suhr, London gold medalist, wasn't even able to clear 4.70m. Surh was battling a virus almost the entire time she was in Rio, and was anxious to get home and deal with her health and getting better. It was Stefanidi of Greece who won with fewer misses than Sandi Morris of the US. When both couldn't clear 4.90m, Stefanidi secured the gold.

Women's Pole Vault Final

1. Ekaterini Stefanidi, Greece, 4.85m
2. Sandi Morris, USA, 4.85m
3. Eliza McCartney, New Zealand, 4.80m

Team USA had a problem qualifying in the Women's 100m Relay, but it didn't keep them from the final. Allyson Felix had dropped the baton in qualifying, a move that is uncharacteristic for the most decorated female track star, but then it was determined that the reason she dropped is because she was bumped. The US were given a chance to run again and were reinstated. And their run in the finals would not be an easy one, the US Women won on the inside lane defending their title with the second fastest run in history.

Women's 4x100m Relay Finals

1. USA, 41.01 (Team USA: Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix, English Gardner, Tori Bowie)
2. Jamaica, 41.36
3. Great  Britain, 41.77

The Men's relay team has been haunted for a little while; and they are fully aware of it. For this Olympics, the US men said that they felt like they were very prepared going into it. And when they made it to the finals, they seemed poised to break a curse that had been in effect since they last won a medal in this event which was a silver in 2004. Why were they disqualified? Apparently the baton was passed outside of the designated passing zone. The curse continues and the men look to change their destiny next time around on one of the biggest stages in the world. For Usain Bolt, he completed what would be his final face at the Games.

Men's 4x100m Relay Finals

1. Jamaica, 37.27
2. Japan, 37.60
3. Canada, 37.64
**USA, disqualified (Team USA: Mike Rodgers, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, and Trayvon Bromell)

The Olympics: Day 11 Rio

Already a silver medalist from the Team Finals, Oleg Verniaiev earned himself an individual gold in the parallel bars finals. His routine was near flawless.

2. Danell Leyva, USA, 15.900

Simone Biles and Aly Raisman completed their Rio Olympics by adding some major hardware to their growing collections. Biles walks away with 4 Golds and 1 Bronze, and Raisman with 1 Gold and 2 Silvers. This was most certainly a successful Olympics for US Women's Gymnastics!

2. Aly Raisman, USA, 15.500
3. Amy Tinkler, Great Britain, 14.933

The 16 year old German, Fabian Hambuechen, who some said looked like a blond Harry Potter beat the flying Dutchman, Epke Zonderland, who won gold four years ago in London on the High Bar. This marks the fourth time since 1984 that 2 members of the US Team have finished in the top two spots in this event, "To do this with my brother is a dream come true," Taylor said of his teammate. The Olympics: Day 10 Rio

Allyson Felix went to these Games being the most decorated female Olympic Track & Field athlete. She failed to qualify in the 200m during trials but did qualify for the 400m. Felix being able to completely focus on the 400m made it seem meant to be, and she had some of the top qualifying times, she made it into the finals and seemed so fully in control, and then in the last ten meters Shaunae Miller of the Bahamas came up alongside her and dived at the finish line crossing in front of Felix.

Women's 400m Final

1. Shaunae Miller, Bahamas, 49.44
2. Allyson Felix, USA, 49.51
3. Shericka Jackson, Jamaica, 49.85

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eleftherios Petrounias of Greece is truly what everyone is calling, "Lord of the Rings". His routine absolutely stunned me, I don't think he could have done anything better than the routine that he put out.

Men's Rings Finals

1. Eleftherios Petrounias, Greece, 16.000
2. Arthur Zanetti, Brazil, 15.766
3. Denis Abliazin, Russian Federation, 15.700

1. Ri Se Gwang, North Korea, 15.691
2. Denis Abliazin, Russian Federation, 15.516
3. Kenzo Shirai, Japan, 15.449

The beam was not good to Simone Biles, she wobbled on a move she does pretty frequently and had to grab the beam to stay on it. Considering that this was Bile's worst, it proves just how amazing she is to still win a medal. Laurie Hernandez had what was perhaps the best beam routine of her young career. She was charismatic and on point, and it was enough for her to capture the silver. And then there was the Gold medal performance by Sanne Wevers of the Netherlands; she absolutely dazzled on the beam, it was like she was at another level than everyone else.

Women's Balance Beam Finals

1. Sanne Wevers, The Netherlands, 15.466
2. Laurie Hernandez, USA, 15.333
3. Simone Biles, USA, 14.733

The Olympics: Day 9 Rio

On Day 9, there were lots of Gymnastics apparatus finals and Usain Bolt in the 100m Dash, lots of excitement on this day.

On the Men's Floor Exercise, there was pure joy when two Brazilian gymnasts medaled. Max Whitlock of Great Britain won the first gold for a British gymnast. Whitlock won the bronze medal in the All Around. He went on to later win the Pommel Horse Final as well where he is the defending champion. Once again, disappointment for the US Men's Team, Sam Mikulak and Jake Dalton were the top two qualifiers and neither one of them medaled.

Men's Floor Exercise

1. Max Whitlock, Great Britain, 15.633
2. Diego Hipolito, Brazil, 15.533
3. Arthur Mariano, Brazil, 15.433

In the Women's Vault Finals, it was all about Simone Biles. She won her third gold of this Games! She is a young woman certainly destined to make history. Her first vault was a 15.9 and her second was a 16.033. She won this by a significant margin.

Women's Vault Final

1. Simone Biles, USA, 15.966
2. Maria Paseka, Russian Federation, 15.253
3. Giulia Steingruber, Switzerland, 15.216

I already mentioned that Max Whitlock also secured a gold in Pommel Horse. Alex Naddour of the US picked up the bronze. This may very well be the only medal the US Men's gymnasts walk away with.

Men's Pommel Horse Final

1. Max Whitlock, Great Britain, 15.966
2. Louis Smith, Great Britain, 15.833
3. Alex Naddour, USA, 15.700

Russia's Aliya Mustafina repeated as the uneven bars champion. She is only the second female gymnast to do this, the first was Svetlana Khorkina, also from Russia in 1996 and 2000. Maddison Kocian of the US Team took the silver while Gabby Douglas struggled to stay on the apparatus and as a result, her score wasn't high enough to make the podium.

Women's Uneven Bars Final

1. Aliya Mustafina, Russian Federation, 15.900
2. Maddison Kocian, USA, 15.833
3. Sophie Scheder, Germany, 15.566

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Men's 100m Dash, Usain Bolt proved why he is a force. He didn't get out of the blocks the best, but he just accelerated, and started passing each opponent. In the last 10 meters he slowed down, looked at this opponents and passed them. Bolt picked up his third consecutive Olympic Gold in the 100m, a feat that has never been done before. Bolt seals his legacy as perhaps the greatest sprinter ever. Justin Gatlin came back from redemption, and I feel he earned that running the best race he could and capturing the Silver.

Men's 100m Final

1. Usain Bolt, Jamaica, 9.81
2. Justin Gatlin, USA, 9.89
3. Andre De Grasse, Canada, 9.94

I bet that Wayde Van Niekirk is one of the most beloved athletes in South Africa. He is trained by his grandmother. He finished fifth in qualifying and had to start the final for the 400m in Lane 8, a place no one wants to be. Van Niekirk proved why he is the real deal, he finished in first out of Lane 8 and shattered the World Record and the Olympic Record. His grandmother was in the audience watching, what a moment. Of note, LaShawn Merritt of the US Team picked up a bronze.

Men's 400m Final

1. Wayde Van Niekirk, South Africa, 43.03 World Record, Olympic Record
2. Kirani Jone, Grenada, 43.76
3. LaShawn Merritt, USA, 43.85
