Carrie Ann said your journey is the most fascinating and has given the most joy. Derek said this show isn't just about technique. It's about moments, you're a moment maker. You connect with people at home. Nelly has definitely been a favorite for me because he is without question, an underdog. I love watching him challenge himself and smile, no one has fun like Nelly on the dance floor.  Score: 27/30

You took hip hop, ballroom, and Latin and brought them together. They're worlds you normally wouldn't see together and you guys did that. I was in awe of this performance and I felt exactly what Carrie Ann said, hope! This was the ultimate tribute that they could have done for dance and for each other. Score: 30/30

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: The Semifinals Don't Disappoint

Round One: Redemption Dance Judge’s Choice

Skai and Alan danced a Cha Cha per Bruno to Move Your Feet by Junior Senior— What a great redemption dance. I loved the music, I loved the choreography, it was so fun. Bruno loved it, he was energized and said it was sharp and strong. Carrie Ann said you were so tight and so crisp. This is what we wanted to see. Derek said that was such a brilliant dance, phenomenal, you were so confident. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0Ffv6yu9sAA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Justina and Sasha danced a Tango per Derek to El Tango de Roxanne— This was a huge improvement over the first time she did Tango. I think she still has room to grow as she doesn’t bring me in the way some of the other contestants do, but she did well. Derek said the attack, the passion, the energy. There were no hops. He said loved it, well done. Bruno said you were on top of it, total change of intention. Carrie Ann said there was a new confidence, you oozed sensuality. Score: 28/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rs43Cii6j7g" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Johnny and Britt danced a Salsa per Carrie Ann to X by The Jonas Brothers— I think that was huge in terms of redemption. I loved his confidence! Carrie Ann said I am so proud of you, this was about growth. Derek said it was very intricate and a hard routine so well done. Bruno said you really have the feel of action, reaction, and connection. Great improvement. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/cr7xVZIl7Gc" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nelly and Daniella danced a Paso Doble per Bruno— This was so good, unsure about that 8, but I’m not gonna hate on Derek too much. I thought he had so much power and so much control. I agree with Derek I’m that the music didn’t go with the movement but it didn’t seem appropriate for the dance. Bruno said I could see shapes and lines. You used restrained power, you put so much work into it. Carrie Ann said you danced with power and presence, so impressive. Derek said, Nelly there was definitely improvement, the focus you had was so captivating. Your side by side was so good, and you reminded me that I need to hit the gym. Score: 26/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gmRwABM37dY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nev and Jenna danced a Foxtrot per Derek to Sign of the Times by Harry Styles— This was beautiful. Nev has such a polished take on every dance and it seems like he works hard on technique. Derek said that was classic and pure foxtrot. Bruno said you are a class act. You never lost it. Carrie Ann said you have mastered the technique these past few weeks and truly become a ballroom artist. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/NoOXJHTvRKs" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Paso Doble per Carrie Ann— The choreography was gorgeous. They both looked amazing. They were both strong and I loved how they supported each other as partners. Kaitlyn truly did improve on the things Carrie Ann gave her notes on. Carrie Ann said that was so well done. Derek said you sold me. Bruno told the whole story, it was 100% authentic Paso Doble. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wvdVJbmEoUw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Round Two:

Justina and Sasha danced a Contemporary to Holding Out for a Hero— The dance is dedicated to their partnership. Yes!!!! This was amazing, all the feels. Derek said I am just having moments tonight. Thank you so much, I love watching you dance, it’s effortless. Beautiful arms. Bruno said such freedom of movement. I loved it. Carrie Ann said Sasha is a special heart and this dance, what is a ten, it’s when magic happens on the dance floor. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tMJyFj2t_Rc" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Skai and Alan danced a Viennese Waltz to Lonely by Noah Cyrus— This looked gorgeous and genuine to me. This felt authentic. Bruno said what you did was so beautiful, you maintained an emotional connection throughout the dance. Carrie Ann said Skai you’re an exceptional young woman, you don’t stop fighting ever. You expressed your vulnerability and it took it to a whole other level. There was another dance you did for your friend but this one was for you. Derek said beautiful, elegant, your frame was gorgeous. I felt connected to you. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4tTFLprSnj8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Johnny and Britt danced a Jazz routine to I Lived by One Republic— I thought this dance really described the partnership between Johnny and Britt. The way they support each other is so beautiful. Carrie Ann said that was amazing, it felt like you were on cloud nine. Johnny agreed. Derek said it was a beautiful routine. I feel the genuine respect you have for each other as partners. Bruno said clear and everything I loved was there. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jTLtCj-Hcj4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nev and Jenna danced a Contemporary to If the World Was Ending by JP Saks and Julia Michaels-- This looked genuinely complex and despite it, Nev was right there. Derek said I forgot to judge, this is so wonderful to witness and to watch. The partnership, the fluidity, and the creative-- so much goes into it, you aced it Jenna. Bruno said come on Nev you've done this before, you can't be that good. You were speaking to me. Carrie Ann said your partner is no joke, contemporary is your thing. Nev you delivered every single step. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/mkhrRmszRQQ" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nelly and Daniella danced a Jive to Jump, Jive, and Wail-- Nelly has been my favorite since day one. As I was watching him dance this, I felt something magical happening. It felt like he was having fun, he has all season, but you can tell he worked so hard on this. The judges were all on their feet. Bruno said Nelly you nailed it. Where did you come from? It was almost miraculous. What a job! Carrie Ann said Nelly what happened? I have never seen you boogie like that before, amazing job. Derek said dude you nailed that routine. Your energy, you guys need to have more drama more often. Nelly said Daniella is so dope. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/dTivh4LcyTY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Contemporary to Cowboy Take Me Away by Dixie Chicks-- Heartfelt! I really felt Kaitlyn in this routine. Artem truly choreographs to her strengths which is beautiful. They have such a strong partnership; there is definite respect there. Carrie Ann said this has been an incredible night. Kaitlyn, you friend is smiling down on you. You danced from your heart and you two have some together beautifully. Derek said I loved this moment, you'll always have that for yourself. Bruno said powerful, beautiful dance.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: Crazy for Icons Night

Icons Night on Dancing with the Stars, I have to admit I am excited about this one.

Justina and Sasha danced a Rumba to Crazy for You by Madonna— I agree with Derek in that the movement need to be sharper. I think Rumba is supposed to be more grounded. Bruno said we saw the gentle side of you tonight. The content was there. Derek told her she needed to extend more. Carrie Ann said Rumba is difficult cause it’s slower but it shouldn’t be smaller. You’re a dynamic performer, never let that go. Score: 24/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GK2v2ygExB0" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nelly and Daniella danced a Jazz routine to California Love by 2Pac— OMG! That was so so entertaining and good. I’m obsessed with this routine. They looked like they were literally entertaining us at a party.  Bruno said you were cool, confident, and in your element. Carrie Ann said great job. You make us smile, laugh every week; we’re on this journey with you. Derek said it was so much fun, celebratory, you were a joy to watch. Score: 24/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/E7hxrbZAzWI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

AJ and Cheryl danced a Viennese Waltz to Somebody to Love by Queen— I think he was overthinking. There was almost so much excitement and adrenaline that he made small errors throughout. He was able to refocus and I love watching AJ. Hopefully he can come back. Carrie Ann said you lost your way. Derek said we all do that, you did work on your left arm and frame. He said be calm and strong, I think we’re gonna see you again. Bruno said I think you were so pumped up that you were overthinking. Score: 23/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vaopp2Q5Q1Q" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Kaitlyn and Artem danced an Argentine Tango to Toxic by Britney Spears— Kaitlyn was great tonight and she looked stunning. This was by far her most focused and best performance. Derek said, let’s go! He said that was so beautiful, exquisite lines, transitions, you did that. Bruno said hit me Kaitlyn one more time, the images were precious paintings. Your focus and intensity was like we’ve never seen it. Carrie Ann gave her a standing ovation. Everything about it was amazing, perfect, passionate. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/JsY6Rf-1lTc" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Johnny and Britt danced a Quickstep to Valerie by Amy Winehouse— This was so fun, I loved how precise it was. Johnny is so passionate about his creative choices, I agree with Carrie Ann on that. Bruno said the actual quickstep was excellent, it was precise and beautiful, well done. Carrie Ann said we’ve never seen a quickstep like that. You deliver every creative choice with such passion, amazing. Derek said you’re enough. You being you is love. Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eI-qHPC6PuE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Skai and Alan danced a Paso Doble to If by Janet Jackson— They were great! That was such a great moment. Carrie Ann said this was a fierce Paso Doble. Derek said you are powerful, strong, and confident. He said watch your arms sometimes. Bruno said this was one of the most grown up dances we had and you lived up to it. He commented on the arms as well. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/8TeM4Z3NiWY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nev and Jenna danced a Jive to Saturday Nights All Right by Elton John— That was epic! They always leave it all out there with every performance. Derek said it’s been a pleasure to watch you and see you grow. I love the content and the charisma. Bruno said rocket man at his most entertaining. I loved the character of this. Carrie Ann said you’re a great showman, but watch the floppy feet. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Iyr1WQzoZeE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Dance Offs! Nev and Jenna did not have to dance because they were the high score from last week.

Justina and Sasha vs Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Cha Cha to Telephone by Lady Gaga— Justina won the dance off and got two bonus points. I actually preferred Kaitlyn.

Skai and Alan vs Nelly and Daniella danced a Salsa to Cup of Life by Ricky Martin— Skai won the dance off and got two bonus points. They were both great.

AJ and Cheryl vs Johnny and Britt danced a Jive to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham— AJ won the dance off and got the two bonus points. I would have chosen AJ as well.

The surprising part of all this is that at the end of the night-- AJ and Johnny were the bottom two, and AJ was sent home. I truly believe AJ and Cheryl touched so many people this season with their vulnerability and sharing their stories with us. I will miss them but I feel so confident that their friendship will continue. We will see more and hear more from them.

Watching back the dances Justina and Skai were overscored and could be in trouble next week. Nev and Nelly were underscored and should be back.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: Nobody Knows How Well They Danced

Jeannie's Journey-- she had to leave the show to have emergency surgery.

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/zvia7Em_ARg" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Jive to Don't Stop Me Now by Queen -- Derek said your dances always have so much content,  I would say work on staying sharp. Bruno said I want more passion, more attack. Carrie Ann said last week was hard for her but she came back with grace. I agree with Carrie Ann's points, but at the same time, I feel like she is being a little hard on Kaitlyn. Because Kaitlyn started at such a high level, it's hard for her to see the growth other contestants have seen. Score: 25/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2OIlmXH9zJU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nev and Jenna danced a Viennese Waltz to Stuck with You by Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber-- I truly enjoy watching Nev dance every week. He is just so so good. I felt like he did a beautiful job of leading her. Bruno said he was oozing charm and charisma; he said you were in control, light on your feet, extremely musical. Carrie Ann said he stepped on her dress, but it was such an elegant dance. Derek said beautiful, smooth Viennese waltz. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/20QVwEn5DO4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Justina and Sasha danced a Samba to Magalenha by Sergio Mendes--  I thought Justina was great because of her excitement when she was dancing. She has such an open heart when she dances. Carrie Ann said you're so fierce. There was a tiny stumble in there. Derek said you look beautiful, loved the Samba rolls, watch your feet a little bit, it was a  little bit flat footed. Bruno said look at you, my tangerine dream, you make every hour feel like happy hour. You give the full monty every time. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/r8MgHOMOuF8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nelly and Daniella danced a Rumba to Nobody Knows by Tony Rich-- Nelly's feelings were palpable tonight. He obviously really loved his sister. It was not his best dance but he was so sincere. Derek said sometimes moments like that transcend, I appreciate you sharing that story with us. Bruno said make the ladies shine, which you did. He said you want to drag your foot rather than step it. Carrie Ann said the movements were nice but they were mostly your arms and shoulders. We needed to see the movement from your hips but we all felt your heart. Score: 21/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Olw4tjVf77c" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Viennese Waltz to Love on the Brain by Rihanna-- Carrie Ann said it was graceful, elegant, and sexy. She said your arms out of hold and your neck, work on that. Derek said my heart is beating fast, you're improving each week. He said watch your arms and transitions, they need to be more seamless. Bruno said I was thinking about so many things while watching that. You had some very good moments while you were dancing.   Score: 24/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/lOadJWxqAy8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Skai and Alan danced a Salsa to Work It by Missy Elliott-- This was fun! I do agree the judges that there were too many lifts. Carrie Ann said you were really aggressive with the dance. You didn't nail all the landings but you nailed the ending. Derek said you were more grounded, that was one too many lifts. I want to see more content. Bruno said he was screaming. Bruno said you have to make sure if you attempt the lift that you are able to continue with the flow of the dance. Score: 25/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7IV7WPJRD64" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Johnny and Britt danced a Foxtrot to Wonder by Shawn Mendes-- I agree with Derek that Johnny's outfit was distracting but I loved the way these two tell a story. Derek said always beautiful arms. He said I wanted the dance to be more like a gradual build than rising and crashing waves. Bruno said your movement filled the stage. Carrie Ann said I liked the story, it was different, something I've never seen before. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/kTx33aheOa0" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

AJ and Cheryl danced a Rumba to Way Down We Go by Kaleo-- This really pulled me in, I could not take my eyes off either of them. This was powerful for sure, full of emotion. Bruno said I was so captivated by it, the drama, the storytelling. I lost a lot of the Rumba action. Carrie Ann said it was a passionate powerful performance. There wasn't a lot of hip action, I want you to bust open. Derek said I appreciate you sharing your journey, that one was for you so well done. Score: 24/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/37SxUbwBsqA" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nev and Jenna, Chrishell and Gleb, and Nelly and Daniella are dancing the Cha Cha judged by Carrie Ann. They're dancing to Rain on Me by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande-- She gave Nev 3 bonus points and Chrishell and Nelly 2 bonus points each.

Justina and Sasha, Johnny and Britt are dancing the Viennese Waltz judged by Derek. They're dancing to I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston-- He gave 3 bonus points to Johnny and 2 bonus points to Justina.

AJ and Cheryl, Kaitlyn and Artem, Skai and Alan are dancing the Samba judged by Bruno. They're dancing to Levitating by Dua Lipa-- He gave 3 bonus points to AJ and Kaitlyn and 2 bonus points to Skai

Bottom two was a big surprise in that it was Chrishell and Skai!

The judges all agreed to save Skai and Chrishell was sent home. It's hard to say who may go home next week since everyone was just so good.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: Spooky Dances

Jeannie and Brandon danced a Paso Doble inspired by Silence of the Lambs -- I do love the commitment Jeannie brings to every dance, but sometimes she pushes so hard that the dance is not as refined as it could be.  Derek thinks she did great with the Paso. Bruno loved the intention of the dance. Carrie Ann said she is overdoing it a little bit; she needs to tone down some of the energy so that her grace can return to the dance. Score: 25/30

Johnny and Britt danced a Viennese Waltz to Creep by Radiohead inspired by Dracula--  It was super dramatic, I loved it! Bruno said it was very good, you had good sweeping motion. Carrie Ann said you floated through that, there was so much interpretation of the music. I agree with Carrie Ann, he interpreted the music beautifully. It's like it was made for him. Derek said redemption is beautiful. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TET6jpreC0E" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Paso Doble inspired by Maleficent-- I do have to say, I did find it simple, but I really felt her character. This was by far her best dance yet, execution was at the highest degree. Carrie Ann said simple moves executed perfectly. Derek said there were a few off balance moments but everyone is crushing it tonight. Bruno said Maleficent you scrumpet. He said you lost the fluidity at times, overall strong performance. Score: 26/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0NSKoiGMsnU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Monica and Val danced a Jazz routine inspired by to Fever-- I liked watching this and was impressed with Monica. I think she has grown a lot. I am not sure what the judges were looking for. Derek loved the musicality, transitions, lifts. He thought overall it was well done. Bruno said I didn't get a fever, I got a mild chill. Carrie Ann said she didn't feel the storytelling as much, felt that it needed more intention. Score: 22/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aDk-lcJHLX8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

AJ and Cheryl danced a Tango inspired by Psycho-- This was really good, the footwork was challenging and AJ seemed un-phased, he stuck with it. Carrie Ann said well done, work a little on your posture. Derek said I was watching your footwork, well done. Bruno said I love how you transformed the character, totally believable. Sort out that frame. AJ said Cheryl is a trooper. Score: 26/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/P3zdeooeGbs" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nelly and Daniella danced an Argentine Tango to I Can't Feel My Face by The Weeknd inspired by Nightmare on Elm St.-- I think the person I continue to be most surprised by in this competition is Nelly. He is so so good, and he continues to work hard and step up his game. This is a far cry from when Master P came on the show years ago. Carrie Ann said that was your best dance, the dynamics, the push and pull, everything. Derek said I wanted more Argentine Tango footwork but you were such a great partner to Danielle. Bruno said you killed that Argentine Tango, your whole stance was different tonight. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QLW3HZ08EyY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Justina and Sasha danced a Tango inspired by Carrie-- I like Justina's spirit. I will say I think that the screaming distracted from the dancing. There also seemed to be some minor slip ups. Derek compliments her frame but tells her to watch her turns. Bruno tells her not to be hoppy in the Tango. Carrie Ann agrees and compliments Justina's use of space. Score: 26/30

Nev and Jenna danced a Paso Doble inspired by Swan Lake-- This was scary gorgeous! Jenna's choreography was amazing and Nev was flawless in his execution. It's hard to believe that he hasn't danced before because he just does everything so well. Bruno and Carrie Ann thought it was perfect. Derek said it was gorgeous and marveled at Nev's shaping. First perfect score of the season! Score: 30/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/saDrTLStPvg" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Skai and Alan danced an Argentine Tango to Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish inspired by The Bride of Chucky-- Carrie Ann said you came back stronger than ever. Your power was mesmerizing. Derek said last week I felt for you, this week I feel you, gorgeous. Bruno said this was the best placement you've had. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Vz3USFdrgeY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Paso Doble to Disturbia by Rihanna inspired by Cruella DeVille-- Hmm, I think I know what the issue is, I think Kaitlyn has been so consistent that we almost take it for granted. I think she also hasn't seen the drastic growth that some of the other contestants have because she started out at such a high level.  Derek said, Artem I want to adopt you. Kaitlyn you are so reliable and you dance your butt off every week. Great way to end the show. Bruno said it felt slightly rushed and the timing wasn't as crisp as it could be. Carrie Ann said there was an issue with the lift, and she saw her spirit drop. Scores were all over the place. Score: 24/30

Jeannie and Monica surprisingly were in the bottom two. I am shocked that Monica was sent home, this was one of her strongest performances to date. I think the judges made an error in who they chose.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: This Cast is Humble and Kind

Johnny and Britt danced a Salsa to On the Floor by Jennifer Lopez-- I love Johnny's confidence, I agree I wanted to see more salsa action, but he always brings it on every performance. Derek said holy moly that costume. He said there were a few arm connections, misses, but overall, great way to start the show. Bruno said the salsa needed to have more grounded hip action but great performance. Carrie Ann said I wanted to feel more earth in the salsa.
Score: 22/30

Nev and Jenna danced a jazz routine to Good Vibration by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch-- This is just making me smile hard and feel good. It was so good! They were hitting everything. Bruno said he didn't know what it was, but he liked it. Carrie Ann said everything made me so happy. Derek said it was jazz 101, it was so clean, you were together the entire time.
Score: 26/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/G_lefdcAsz0" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Monica and Val danced a rumba to Have I Told You Lately That I Love You by Rod Stewart-- Monica looks stunning tonight. I love that she dedicated this to her husband and her quality of movement is so sincere. I love it. Carrie Ann said WOW! You came into your own. That was so refined, so sensual, so within your power. Derek said you are really enjoying it, and you have great balance. I loved your story but loved your rumba even more. Bruno said that was a classy rumba, you pitched it right, classic rumba and romance.
Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/X9XFosHx-f8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Skai and Alan danced a Cha Cha to Say So by Doja Cat and Nikki Minaj-- She is making a lot of little mistakes. Once she made the first mistake she focused on her first mistake. Derek said you messed up, it happens to all of us. There were great moments in there. Bruno said I am loving that look, accidents happen, you handled it as best as you could. Carrie Ann said you came back stronger than ever. I want to commend you for the recovery.
Score: 18/30

Vernon and Peta danced a Cha Cha to Celebration by Kool and the Gang-- What a beautiful story from Vernon about his grandpa. I agree 100% with Derek, there is such joy when he dances and I love the way he looks at his partner Peta.  Bruno said very bright, there is something about you, you have the right feel for the dance. The timing is good, the cha cha comes from the ball of the foot. Carrie Ann said I enjoy watching you dance, you're comfortable with yourself, I love your ease. Derek said I would give you a ten for joy every time but you  need to be careful with the heel leads etc.
Score: 21/30

Nelly and Daniella danced a Viennese Waltz to Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw-- That was so beautiful. OMG! I am like speechless. Carrie Ann said excuse me, there is such beauty and storytelling. Derek said it was beautiful to see and watch, watch your rise and fall, but that was wonderful. Bruno said there was a gentleness to you, you treat your woman like a goddess. Nelly said I had to channel my inner Bruno.
Score: 24/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FTmKHIA79CE" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Jeannie and Brandon danced a Rumba to Gotta Be by Desiree-- I do feel she is committed to every dance, but something was missing for me. I don't feel the emotion from her as  much as I do some of the other dancers. Derek sad Jeannie that was sensual, your legs were so straight and over your foot, be aware of your arms. Bruno said so much passion, irresistible and deadly. Carrie Ann you are so stunning, you dance at your edge. You have to work more on your transitions, but that was beautiful.
Score: 25/30

AJ and Cheryl danced a Samba to Mi Gente by J Balvin-- They were just so good! They nailed that Samba! Bruno said don't be sorry, just do it. Carrie Ann said you had the right balance, sometimes you dance a little small, but we love watching you dance. Derek said it was so fun to watch, you had a good bounce in there. Samba is a hard dance, and you made it look easy my friend.
Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/d2IscuIunq8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Contemporary to The Stars by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals-- Very heartfelt, Chrishell dedicated her dance to her parents. I saw the small mistakes the judges pointed out but she told a beautiful story. Carrie Ann said you poured your heart and soul into that dance. Point your toes but I felt that. Derek said you have had a heck of a year but you have come out here with joy. Bruno said so emotionally engaging, so raw, so truthful.
Score: 24/30

Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Samba to Sorry by Justin Bieber-- I  thought she did great, she was strong. I echo the judges though, that dance didn't impress me. I actually felt comparing Samba's that AJ had a better Samba. Derek said that was fantastic, great. Derek wants sharper movement-- attack. Bruno said I "belieb" in you, first class Samba. Carrie Ann said well executed, I was not super impressed. I wanted to see more attack.
Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gEG8X9xA3bY" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/swOAS1Gk0qI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

At the end Vernon and Johnny were in the bottom two. It was so shocking! I don't really even want to predict what next week will bring.

Bruno said this was deliciously 80s. Carrie Ann said you were incredible, you guys matched every line perfectly. Score: 24/30

Jesse and Sharna danced a Tango to Everybody Wants to Rule the World by Tears for Fears-- I felt like they connected better on that dance. I did feel like he improved. I hope the judges think so. Bruno said he lost his timing. Carrie Ann said he improved and did feel the music. Derek said the frame was closed, but he is improving each week. Score: 19/30

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Cha Cha Cha to The Right Stuff by New Kids on the Block-- That was so fun and I love how they incorporated the New Kids dance. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hyypYlOau_8" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

AJ and Cheryl danced a Waltz to Open Arms by Journey--  That was so gorgeous! I just love their partnership so much. You can tell that they are really friends. Carrie Ann commented on how AJ led Cheryl through the dance and he did beautifully. Derek said I love this style on you. Derek said you moved very smooth across the floor, that was great. Bruno said the dance had great motion. Score: 24/30

Skai and Alan danced a Jazz routine to Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News-- Hmm I think I was left wanting more from that, but maybe it's just me. Derek said when you go into partner hold you have a fear face. Bruno said well done, watch the dismounts on the lifts. Carrie Ann said expand the movements to fill up the music. Score: 24/30

Vernon and Peta danced a Tango to Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi-- I always enjoy watching these two. They are one of my favorite couples. I liked this but I do agree it got tough to watch. Bruno said you went wrong at some point. Carrie Ann said work on your transition. Derek said you thrive in the more tender dances. Score: 21/30

Carrie Ann said your frame was far superior to anyone else's. Derek said I loved how you went b-girl, I loved the sharpness in the tango. Bruno said you didn't know what was gonna happen next. Score: 27/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vh4S-NcDKu4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Nelly and Daniella danced a Samba to Rhythm of the Night to DeBarge-- This was by far their best dance! I loved their costumes. Oh my gosh, Nelly made me smile so hard. I need to go back and watch that. Derek said that was your best dance! It was a legit Samba, there was a freedom to you, you were in the pocket. Bruno said you were light on your free, carefree, footwork was precise. You were doing a proper Samba. Carrie Ann said that made me so happy, your journey, this was yummy. Score: 24/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yLwwVQtEYq0" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Johnny and Britt danced a Contemporary to Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler-- Oh my gosh, Johnny is so so good. He just gets it. He interprets movement and music so beautifully. Bruno said we know you have great extension but we feel the emotion. Carrie Ann said you crushed it, and Britt beautiful choreography. Derek said dude, that was perfect, the quality of movement, beautiful. Score: 29/30

Nev and Jenna danced a Quickstep to Take on Me by A-Ha-- They were great! Nev is always in character, and Jenna always choreographs to his strengths. Carrie Ann said the frame felt awkward. Derek said he loved it, and thought it was a great way to end the night. Bruno said you took to the Quickstep like a duck to water. Your footwork was crisp, on time, and efficient. Score: 26/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/85TNjTIdVDs" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

At the end of the night the bottom two was Jesse and Sharna and Vernon and Peta. This was a little surprising I have to say, but the outcome was predictable. It's unfortunate that Jesse went home because he was just starting to get good.

Chrishell and Justina might be in trouble next week.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: Week 4 Brings Some Drama

Nelly and Daniella danced a Paso Doble to All I Do is Win by DJ Khaled-- Wow, Nelly really did a lot of work on that. Derek really liked it. Bruno said the winner takes it all and I am gonna go for it. You have the power, now refine the artistry. Carrie Ann said Nelly that is what I was looking for. The musicality was great, watch your shapes, but thank you. Oh my heart! Nelly was so humble, he did a great job, love to see his improvement. Score: 21/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QibXPTgl2Y0" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0fb6jgHpNRU" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Lots of confusion at the end of the night as everyone had been sent to safety except-- Vernon and Peta, Chrishell and Gleb, and Anne and Keo. Tyra said Vernon was in the bottom 2 which didn't even seem possible. Tyra said Anne and Keo were in the bottom two and that there was a mistake and it was actually Monica and Val who was there with them. At the end it was Anne who was sent home. I genuinely liked Anne. I hope that talk of her storming off the set after being eliminated were not true. Being a good loser  is as important as being a good winner.

I suspect Jeannie and Monica may be in some trouble next week.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: It's Disney Night!

Skai and Alan danced a Jive-- Derek was not crazy about it, he said her weight was so far back that she looked stiff. Bruno said you needed more in the legs, but you did a good job. Carrie Ann said she looked nervous, but she got back on track. Score: 18/30

AJ and Cheryl danced a Quick Step to Aladdin-- AJ really gets into character! I love that! Such great showmanship. Derek said you always make me smile, you're so committed to every performance. Bruno loved it, he said Vin Diesel as Aladdin fast and furious. Carrie Ann said now you feel comfortable, your elbow dropped a little bit. Score:21/30

You exude confidence, you still have some stuff to work on but you're great. Carrie Ann said you created one of my favorite dances of the night. She loved how he slowed down his energy to match Peta's. I agree with Carrie Ann, this was so fun, and I think Vernon's confidence really sold it. Score: 22/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KddVtdDph_4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Jesse and Sharna danced a Jive to Newsies-- They were good! That was unexpected. I did not know Jesse could dance that good. Derek didn't feel this dance as  much. Bruno said it was clean and youthful and you played the role brilliantly. He said your footwork was light. Carrie Ann thought he had good storytelling but his musicality was off. Score: 20/30

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Waltz to Cinderella-- They both played the part perfectly. She was so graceful, Gleb did such a good job.  Bruno said you look like the ultimate Disney Princess. Carrie Ann said you guys are magic together. She told her to work on her shoulders. Derek said feet together on the turns, but this was a beautiful dance, you're a real life Cinderella. Score: 22/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DKsbfjGV148" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

At the end of the night it came down to Anne and Keo and Carole and Pasha. The judges unanimously saved Anne and Keo.

I really hope Anne and Keo do not go home next week because Anne is working so hard and really wants to be there.

Dancing with the Stars Season 29: Week 2

Nev and Jenna danced a Cha Cha Cha-- I am a bit let down that they went first because Nev has so much charisma. I was a little bit nervous because last week he danced a more slow dance. This is definitely more upbeat but he did great. Score: 21/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/vTZdE98-rrI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Skai and Alan danced a Samba-- Such a shame that she had that mistake about a third of the way through the dance. It really threw her off her game. The dance had lots of great parts but it was clear she was a little shaken from the mistake. Hopefully she comes back big next week. Score: 15/30

Johnny and Britt danced a Tango-- It's so entertaining to watch Johnny dance. I would say that the judges' comments are right on. His foot work is a bit messy and at times looks odd. The tango needed to be a little bit more staccato in terms of movement like Bruno said. Score: 18/30

Justina and Sasha danced a Foxtrot-- This was really beautiful and I love how joyful she is when she dances. Yes, of course at times, her foot work could have been neater but overall great. Score: 21/30

Monica and Val danced a Jive-- I can tell Monica is a perfectionist. I think she needs to stay out of her head. I can see her overthinking the steps as she is dancing. Bruno commented that the timing was off. Score: 16/30

AJ and Cheryl danced a Foxtrot-- I actually really loved this. AJ dedicated the dance to his wife and you could really see his showmanship in the dance. Kudos to Cheryl for some awesome choreography. She seemed to play to AJ's strengths but it was also good to see him really step up to the plate. Score: 19/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FT7pHyl1r1A" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Anne and Keo danced a Foxtrot-- These two are one of my fave pairings. Derek loves this partnership. He says Anne is too tense on top and needs to relax. I love how much she trusts Keo but she needs to also have enough self confidence in her dancing abilities to be able to stand alone. Anne is a confident woman so this should be something she is able to do. Score: 18/30

Nelly and Daniella danced a Cha Cha Cha-- I loved this dance! I could see that Nelly really put in some work and wanted to do well with this dance. Carrie Ann told him to do better on his turns and watch his shoulders. Derek loved the timing. Score: 18/30

Chrishell and Gleb danced a Rumba-- This was the biggest improvement from week one to week two. She did great. The dance really seemed to come from her heart. Bruno loved her lines and shapes but told her to work on connecting them. Derek told her to focus on her foot work. Score: 18/30

Charles and Emma danced a Cha Cha Cha-- I actually felt like this was an improvement over last week. The main message from the judges was to work on foot work. Score: 15/30

Jesse and Sharna danced a Foxtrot-- This is another one of my favorite pairings this season. I thought this was a solid dance, and Jesse has loads of potential. Bruno tells him to watch his bum, posture, and foot work. Carrie Ann believes he did watch some of those and tells him to watch his foot work. Score: 20/30

Jeannie and Brandon danced a Cha Cha Cha-- I love Jeannie's energy. She is someone I thought did a better job last week. The judges all seemed to say similar things-- watch your shoulders, don't lean so far back, foot work, pull back some. Score: 18/30

Carole and Pasha danced a Viennese Waltz-- Carrie Ann thought it was simple but suited her. Everyone seemed to feel this was an improvement over the disaster that was last week. Score: 16/30

Vernon and Peta danced a Paso Doble-- This dance really suits Vernon. It brought out his strength and masculinity which obviously comes naturally to him. Bruno and Derek both told him to work on shaping for the Paso. Carrie Ann loved that he corrected himself with timing but wants him to dance bigger. Score: 18/30

Kaitlyn and Artem danced a Foxtrot-- The most put together and beautiful dance of the night. I love how Kaitlyn was so committed and danced through the pain. Carrie Ann and Derek both thought it was a beautiful performance. Bruno said she filled the space like a ballerina. Score: 22/30

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/ojHFqAMLGgw" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Bottom 2 was Carole and Pasha and Charles and Emma

Unfortunately the judges decided to save Carole.

My prediction for the bottom two next week is Carole and Skai or Monica

Dancing with the Stars Season 29-- Everything is New Again

I did not have any types of expectations for checking out this season of Dancing with the Stars. Tom and Erin are gone. Tyra Banks is hosting.  I loved her hosting America's Next Top Model, but to be honest, she seemed somewhat out of place on DWTS. I miss Len being there as a judge. I believe, due to COVID, he is staying in England. Derek Hough is a welcome addition as a judge. I love his feedback and trust his expertise as a dancer.

The professional dancers and their partners this year however are collectively one of the best casts that DWTS has ever had-- minus Carole Baskin of course. She is simply ridiculous and I have no idea how/ why she is there. It should be short lived unless America has completely gone crazy. I expect her to go home first.

AJ McLean from The Backstreet Boys is partnered with Cheryl Burke-- I think that is such a great partnership. Yes he slipped at the beginning of the jive but I think he is someone who will improve. Score: 18/30

Chrishell Strause from Selling Sunset, I knew her first from Days of Our Lives is partnered with Gleb-- This is so perfect for her, Gleb is awesome. I actually think that the judges were too hard on her considering she did a tango. Score: 13/30

Vernon Davis is an NFL Football Player and Super Bowl winner and is partnered with Peta-- Athletes always do well on this show, and I am willing to bet Vernon will be no exception. He does have great stage presence. Score: 17/30

Anne Heche is a TV and movie actress and is partnered with Keo-- This is actually one of my favorite pairings this season. Anne is a pleasant surprise to me and a breath of fresh air. I love how different she and Keo are but how well they mesh together. Their cha cha cha was fabulous. Score: 18/30

Jeannie Mai is a co-host on the Real Reel and is partnered with Brandon-- This salsa had a lot packed into it. She handled it well. I can see these two remaining friends when this is all over. I think she will grow in this competition. Score: 18/30

Jesse Metcalfe is an actor, most well known for Desperate Housewives and the soap Passion is partnered with Sharna-- I am obsessed with this spicy partnership. I definitely think Jesse has a lot of work to do but if he listens to Sharna and works hard-- he is going to have all the ladies out there voting for him. Score: 18/30

Skai Jackson is an actress and YouTuber and is partnered with current winner Alan-- I don't know much about Skai, I will be honest, but I think she is absolutely lovely and was definitely the best dancer of the night. Score: 21/30

Kaitlyn Bristowe is a former bachelorette and is partnered with Artem-- Another great pairing. I really enjoy watching these two and you can tell that Kaitlyn is really giving it her all and taking it seriously. I think she is one to watch. Score: 20/30

Nev Schulman is the host of Catfish and is partnered with Jenna-- This was probably the biggest surprise of the night. Nev was polished and came off like a total gentleman. I am so looking forward to seeing him dance again. Kudos to Jenna for this memorable foxtrot. Score: 20/30

Johnny Weir is an Olympic Figure Skater, US Champion, and Commentator and is partnered with newcomer Britt-- I love the dynamic between these two. This is going to be one of the fun pairings to watch this year. Both of them have great personalities and athletic ability. Score: 18/30

Justina Machado is an actress and is partnered with Sasha-- Justina moves so much better than I thought she would. She is really great, and I think Sasha is the perfect partner for her. She is someone else I am going to enjoy watching throughout the season. Her confidence is just so big. Score: 21/30

Charles Oakley is a retired NBA star and is partnered with Emma-- What Charles has going for him is his sheer competitiveness and athletic ability. Emma has her work cut out for her though-- this will not be easy because Charles isn't a natural dancer. Score: 12/30

Monica Aldama is a cheer coach and is partnered with Val. Monica was one of the surprises of the night. I suppose she is one of those competitive people-- so similar mindset to an athlete. Score:  19/30

Nelly is an award winning rapper and is partnered with Daniella-- Nelly is entertaining to watch, I will definitely give him that. What he will require throughout the competition is the fine tuning. he needs to work on being sharper, all his moves, and how he finishes each move. Score:16/30

Carole Baskin is _______, I won't say it, draw your own conclusions and fill in the blanks is partnered with Pasha-- This dance was absolutely horrible and she has got to be the one going home. Score: 11/30

The Voice Season 18: The Finale is Here!

Team Legend: CammWess sang Purple Rain by Prince-- Tough song choice, I loved this for him though. It was certainly ambitious and he's been so talented throughout the entire competition. The only thing I did not love is when he reached for the high note. It seemed a little off key. Kelly talked about him continuing to be confident in himself and how gifted he is. I completely agree. Nick said I am a huge Prince fan and I think you did that song justice.

Team Blake: Todd Tilghman sang I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me-- This was probably the single most inspiring performance of the entire season. I felt how committed Todd was to the song and how much he believed the lyrics. Wow, that was a tears coming down my face performance. Kelly said I was crying, you are so moving, you have a bigger belief inside of you. She is still crying, and she says I want to come to your church, you're special. Blake said you have a connection with people, and you sing with so much passion and precision. People believe you.

Team Kelly: Micah Iverson sang Butterflies by Micah Iverson-- I thought that this was better than I thought it would be; however, I didn't like the ending. It seemed abrupt. Micah is a little bit of a dark horse in this so it will be interesting to see how this turns out. Micah and Kelly agreed that this song describes who he wants to be as an artist.

Team Nick: Thunderstorm Artis sang Sedona by Thunderstorm Artis-- His voice still sounded great but the song was just good. John commented on his tone, and Nick said he is a true artist.

Team Blake: Toneisha Harris sang Faithfully by Journey-- I am surprised that Toneisha is the only lady left in this! She is remarkable. Her tone is always rich and full. Kelly said you have tones in you like Chaka Khan. You intrigue me. Blake said you have turned the entire finale upside down and this was your best performance of the season.

Round Two

Todd Tilghman sang Long Way Home by Todd Tilghman-- The sound and the vibe of this song was so him. I loved the positive message and it sounded like something he would sing if recording his own album. Blake said you are such an incredible talent, I have been torn about original songs on the Voice, but you took this and breathed life into it.

CammWess sang Save it for Tomorrow by CammWess-- This song sounds a lot like John, and that makes sense as John has a writing credit on it. I think the song really showcased Camm's vocal strengths and abilities. John called the song instantly catchy.

Micah Iverson sang Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol-- Micah sounded good in this, one of his best performances in a while. He does have amazing range, almost like an Adam Levine in certain spaces of his voice. Kelly said she looks forward to working with him when this is over.

Toneisha Harris sang Superhero by Toneisha Harris-- Again, the song was okay, not great. Obviously Toneisha had a connection with the song as it was inspired by her son who was sick. Blake said we're supposed to be social distancing but she just touched millions of people with that performance.

Thunderstorm Artis sang What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong-- This song does get performed a lot, but I loved how Thunderstorm was still able to change it up and make it his own. Each note was so deliberate, and it just ended so beautifully. Nick said I am so grateful that you sang that song. I try to find ways to stay encouraged. Thank for bring that message with pure and emotional artistry.

Well friends, we made it to the end of the season. Who is going to win? Your guess is as good as mine. Thunderstorm has been a favorite since day one with a magical tone. Micah is a dark horse of sorts that has continued to come up big. Todd is insanely unique; there's something super authentic about him. Toneisha is a rock star, her voice is the biggest and most consistent. CammWess has this incredible range; he reminds me of so many other singers yet sounds like no one.

Who is your pick? I think I am going with Team Blake and saying Todd or Toneisha is going to win this.

American Idol: The Top 7 Sing Disney and Songs for their Moms

The top seven were decided on Sunday night on American Idol, and I was a little discouraged with the results. Two ladies and five guys ended up being chosen. I just think there were some people that moved forward that maybe should not have-- Dillon James had not been great for several weeks. Jonny West--- I know the judges are sold but I'm not.

Last night's performances came in two rounds. Round one was Disney songs and round two was songs inspired by mom in honor of Mother's Day. The Disney round was king of lame to be honest. I love Disney songs, but I am kind of tired of the shameless Disney plugs every two seconds on ABC. The second round for me is what sold me on several of these artists. The song choices were thoughtful and heartfelt.

Arthur Gunn-- sang Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid and Hey Ma by Bon Iver-- First performance was sound, not great, but safe. Second performance bled authenticity. I do think he is going to make the top five, he just sounds unlike anyone else. Forget the Phillip Phillips comparisons. Arthur sounds like no one else.

Just Sam-- sang A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes by Cinderella and I Turn to You by Christina Aguilera-- I was not into either performance. Every week I hear her she sounds good, but she does not seem to connect with the songs or emote in any way. I think she is in danger of going home next week.

Jonny West-- sang Almost There from The Princess and the Frog and Amazing Grace-- I full expected him to go home this week, but I am glad he didn't. This week I saw so much from him. His performances felt inspired, he connected to the songs, and was true to himself as an artist. I believe he will stick around.

Louis Knight-- sang Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King and You've Got a Friend by James Taylor and Carole King-- This was probably his weakest couple of performances in a while. I felt like he lost focus and was off pitch, especially in the first performance. He improved on the second performance and it should be enough for him to go through because a couple of people were a little bit weaker than he was.

Julia Gargano-- sang Beauty and the Beast and Sweetest Devotion by Adele-- Julia has not missed a beat in this competition. She has been one of the strongest performers and vocalists from day one. Her first performance this week was a miss for me. Her vocals were too low, it needed to be in a different key. The second performance was her ticket into the finale. It was one of the best performances of the night.

Francisco Martin-- sang You're in My Heart from Tarzan and River by Leon Bridges-- Francisco has by far been my favorite contestant this season and this was his best performances to date. He has not taken one wrong turn. Both of his performances were equally amazing. He has a sincerity that comes through every time he sings. He also shines as a storyteller because he believes fully in what he is singing about.

Dillon James-- sang Our Town from Cars and Hang On Hang On by Amos Lee-- This is so hard because a couple weeks ago, I felt like he should have gone home for losing his authenticity. Now I feel like he's grown, but is it enough? Is it fair for him to stay around when others have been more consistent throughout the competition than he has? He regrouped without question and got his authenticity back.

My top 5:

Francisco (potential winner)
Julia (potential winner)
Jonny
Arthur (potential winner)
last spot is between Louis and Dillon

The Voice Season 18: The Top 9 Sing From Home

Team Blake: Joanna Serenko sang Lean on Me-- I feel like this song is a little overdone, especially in times like these. I do continue to be a fan of Joanna though. Nick said in many ways losing Joanna is his biggest regret. Blake says her voice floats like a butterfly.

Team Kelly: Micah Iverson sang I'll Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie-- I have to say I was not crazy about this performance at all. It was too dark for this time in the competition. Kelly calls him a great artist.

Team Blake: Todd Tilghman sang Love Me by Collin Raye-- Todd is a dark horse in this competition that is not such a dark horse anymore. There is something about him that's really appealing. I find myself wanting to route for him. Kelly said if I could sound like a man when I am singing, I would want your voice. Todd is emotional and Blake appreciates his emotion.

Team Legend: Zan Fiskum sang Never Be the Same by Camilla Cabello-- I loved her interpretation of that. I did find it a little high. Nick praised her arrangement and how she made it her own. John said she really puts the arrangements together herself.

Team Nick: Thunderstorm Artis sang Home By Michael Buble-- I think this was his most humble performance to date. I genuinely liked this, and his vocals were spot on. Blake said I was zoned in, you took the melody and song and made it your own. I liked what you were doing on the guitar. Nick said you have made everything your own from day one and you have a clear path to the finale.

Team Kelly: Megan Danielle sang What Hurts the Most by Rascal Flatts--One of my all time favorite songs. She did a beautiful job with it. I think I would have liked to see a little more dynamics, but she has such a unique tone. Kelly said thank you reminding me of how much I love to sing. Your voice is beautifully broken.

Team Nick: Allegra Miles sang Overjoyed by Stevie Wonder-- Oh my, she was so good tonight. This is a difficult song, and as John mentioned, she navigated through all the key changes so well. John said it's not an easy song, but you gave an all star performance. Nick said you came out swinging.
This was one of your best performances yet.

Team Blake: Toneisha Harris sang Because You Love Me by Celine Dion-- Wow, her voice was just amazing tonight. This is someone who has deserved a spot in the finals since day one. Her talent is unreal. Kelly said come to my Vegas show and sing that song live on my stage. Blake said if I ever get to play again, you are welcome to come sing with me. You are special to me, you bring so much joy and credibility with your talent.

Team Legend: CammWess sang Rainbow by Kacey Musgraves-- Another strong performance from Camm. He is someone who like Toneisha has never missed once this season. He seemed genuinely connected to that song. John said you took us on a journey, your voice was honey butter.

My picks for the finale in no order--

Todd
Allegra
Toneisha
Tunderstorm
CammWess is going to edge out Joanna Serenko for the last spot

The Voice Season 18: The Top 17 Are Stronger

17 perform tonight, only 9 will move forward tomorrow.

Team Nick:

Thunderstorm Artis sang Summertime-- John thought Thunderstorm was magical. I have to say this was a little too lethargic for me. I thought it was interesting with the whistling but I didn't love it. I will be listening to see what everyone else does. At the beginning he was definitely finalist material and tonight I am not so sure.

Allegra Miles sang New York State of Mind by Billy Joel-- Blake said great job sis. Nick said Allegra you have been a force since day one. With this performance from your home, you owned it and brought it, this was your best performance. Oh my gosh! Allegra is exquisite, I literally had tears in my eyes listening to her. She is so moving and her tone is just so rich. This was a home run in my opinion.

Arei Moon sang Finesse by Bruno Mars-- Nick said he loved the 90s influence she brought and said she killed it. Okay, I love Arei, but I feel like next to some other contestants she was out of her league. It wasn't karaoke but, at the same time, she didn't really make it her own.

Roderick Chambers sang Lost Without You by Robin Thicke-- John said you go between your head voice and chest voice effortlessly. Nick said you needed to know where you were going to go every step of the way. I am excited to see what happens because I think this performance was going to blow up on Twitter. Roderick has been one of my personal favorites since the first time I heard him, and I am really hoping he has the opportunity to make it to the finals. I thought this was a great song choice for Roderick and he transitioned through this song with such ease.

Michael Williams sang Sign of the Times by Harry Styles-- Kelly said that was so cool, I love your look, and love your sound. I think you're the rock and roll vibe of this show. Nick said we picked this song, and Harry is a stylist with this vocal and set the bar high and you did great with this song. Michael was my pick for the four way knockout so I was thrilled to see him advance. Initially I was a little bored with this song choice but his vocals and his sincerity with each song he tackles turns me into a believer every time.

Team Legend:

Zan Fiskum sang Blowing in the Wind by Bob Dylan-- Kelly said that is the best version of that song I have ever heard. I do have to say, I like how she took that song and made it timeless. The song soared instead of dragged.

Mike Jerel sang All My Life by K-Ci and Jo-Jo-- John said I loved your creativity and how you made it your own. He liked the runs he added and the chords. Oh boy, I loved Mike's blind audition and I don't think he has ever topped that. I wanted this to be stronger and more passionate.

Mandi Castillo sang Corre-- John said you make me so proud, you have a beautiful tone and verbrato and you're so humble. I did not care for that performance. It was a little lost on me, I feel like she had to do something at this stage of the competition that was more mainstream.

Camm Wess sang Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers-- Kelly said Camm you are such a solid singer and artist. John said you nailed this song and knocked it out of the park, your tone is honey butter. John also shouted out the great Bill Withers who we recently lost.  Loved this performance, Camm's vocal tone is so good.

Team Kelly:

Megan Danielle sang Anyone by Demi Lovato-- Kelly said you're so special, your tone, and how you can float through different genres. I know Demi probably heard that. She started off a little off key. Megan did improve as the song went on, and she ended really strong. She could go far if she gets past tonight.

Mandi Thomas sang I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack-- Kelly said she loves Mandi's vibe and that she can sing anything. I love Mandi but I didn't think that was very good. I don't think that song did a great job of showcasing all Mandi has to offer as a vocalist.

Micah Iverson sang Your Song by Elton John-- Blake said you go from a softer tone to these bigger notes, and I am happy for you man. Kelly said you're incredible, thanks for picking me. Micah was honestly one of the stronger contestants tonight. That Elton John song is not easy and he made it sound that way, gorgeous vocals from a technical standpoint.

Cedrice sang Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish-- You're so crazy cool, you don't need a show, you're a stand alone artist and human being. Cedrice remains very different, I adore her authenticity and originality. Her voice is amazing. Her vibe reminds me a little of Sade.

Team Blake:

Toneisha Harris sang Stronger by Kelly Clarkson-- John said you are a phenomenal singer, so impressive. Blake said all right, yes! Yes! I think that's the best of the night so far. Kelly said if you need a backup singer call me. I loved this! She is one of the strongest vocalists on this show. Finalist material right there!

Joei Fulco sang Runaway by DelShannon-- Nick said your voice is so fun to listen to, so unique and so special. You owned this and made it special. Blake said I don't know why Nick didn't get you on his team. You have this buzz in your voice that is so unique. She flipped this song on it's side. She made it country, she made it blues, and she brought it to now. I loved this, she's got to move forward.

Joanna Serenko sang Rich Girl by Hall & Oates-- Kelly said that was a cool song choice for you and you have a captivating spirit. Blake said Joanna you didn't change the song too much but your voice is so different that it became your song. What I enjoy about Joanna is her soulfulness. I don't know who she reminds me of, maybe Paula Cole a little bit. She is so good.

Todd Tilghman sang Glory of Love by Peter Cetera-- Blake said that was incredible, you're one of my favorite artists I have worked with on the show, you're so fun to be around.  I thought that was going to be cheesy as all hell but that was amazing.

Top 9 (my predictions in no particular order)

Toneisha Harris
Allegra Miles
Roderick Chambers
Camm Wess
Megan Danielle
Cedrice
Todd Tilghman
Joanna Serenko
last spot-- toss up between-- Zan Fiskum, Michael Williams, and Joei Fulco

American Idol-- The Top 20 Become 10 or 11 and Sing Songs That Remind Them of Home

The Top 10 sing songs that remind them of Home

Louis Knight sang In My Place by Coldplay-- Katy thought it was commendable for him to lean into his roots, he made he escape to a better time. Luke loved his star quality, and wasn't necessarily blown away by the performance. I actually disagree with Luke, I loved this performance for exactly the reason Katy said, he taps into his roots. Any time you as a performer directly relate with a song, you're good to go. He connected and we as an audience felt that.

Julia Gargano sang New York State of Mind by Billy Joel-- Lionel said she took Billy Joel's song and made it her own, it was memorable. Luke and Katy said it was one of the performance's of the season.  Again, she clearly connected with the song and that's why it was amazing. Her approach was genuine and sincere.

Jovin Webb sang Voodoo by Allen Stone-- Katy said I was in a bar in Nola having an extra dirty martini. Luke said you haven't always been on pitch but there is such a believe-ability. However, Luke said tonight he was not off key once! Jovin just has such a vibe. His style is original, he's not trying to be like anyone else and it is so authentic and original.

Grace Leer sang Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Judy Garland-- Katy calls is big and bolg. Lionel reminds her if she is country to stay in her lane. Obviously she sang a memorable BIG song. It always touches me. However, I wasn't blown away by this if I am being honest.

Jonny West sang Faithfully by Journey-- Luke said you stay within your style and can sing anything. Lionel said you've gone from a shy guy to a sexy guy. You made it your own. Katy said it's beautiful to see the life you're building. I wanna go see your show. That was so effortless.

Sophia James sang In My Room by The Beach Boys-- Lionel said I love your delivery from top to bottom. Katy said it was so upper echelon, you really brought it with your interpretation of that song. Luke said I find myself immersed in emotion.  Oh my gosh, that was so moving, it was dreamlike. Sophia has this ability to tell a story and make you follow and be completely pulled in.

Arthur Gunn sang Take Me Home Country Roads by John Denver-- Katy said he connected with her and the audience. Luke said that was a classic song to take on and put his spin on it. Lionel said you took John Denver's song and put a reggae twist on it, and it was good. Arthur has a way of making something his own, but the song doesn't lose it's meaning. It seemed like a far jump from country to reggae but he made it seamless.

Just Sam sang Grandma's Hands by Bill Withers-- Luke said the richness and how your voice holds at all levels is really what makes you, you. Katy said the performance reminded her of being in church. The song was appropriate for her. I don't know if it will be enough to get her into the top seven. The performances tonight have been amazing.

Dillon James sang Yesterday by The Beatles-- Katy told him that he needed to give more breath to his performance. Luke said relax the lyrics and let them flow. Dillon is certainly an original artist but for some reason, he made that too quick tempo wise. When I think about covers of "Yesterday", I think of Boyz II Men and how they really gave that song a modern spin with a different life without losing the meaning.

Francisco Martin sang Falling Like the Stars by James Arthur-- Katy is pretending to cry. Katy said she believed it and felt it. Luke said you're a diamond in the rough. Lionel said you are a true talent. Francisco is one of my favorite contestants this season. He really touches my heart with every single song, and he always seems to pick things that fit him just so beautifully.

The judges elected to use the only save of the season tonight and they used it on Makayla Phillips. And why wouldn't they, she is amazing.

Makayla Phillips sang The House that Built Me by Miranda Lambert-- Luke said we fought for you because of the voice we have heard throughout the audition process. Lionel said you're a star. Katy said I felt like you were singing directly to me, you showed growth from last week.  I am shocked the judges had to use a save on her. She is phenomenal!  This was a stunning vocal performance.

My top seven (these are just predictions!)---

Louis
Julia
Jovin
Sophia
Arthur
Francisco
Makayla
