The Voice Season Six: The Last of the First Round of Battles (Make Sense?)

Team Adam: Cary Laine vs. Sam Behymer sang Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran-- I wasn't crazy about this battle. I didn't care much for the song and both ladies were having some major pitch issues. I preferred Cary, the tone of her voice is smoother to me. Although, I preferred Sam in the blind auditions this performance had some issues.
Who should win? I'd go with Cary
Adam chose Sam

Team Blake: Kaleigh Glanton vs. Noah Lis sang Everything by Michael Buble-- Usher said he liked Noah's upper range, and Kaleigh's unique tone. Adam said although the chips were stacked against Kaleigh, he chooses her. Blake likes how Kaleigh thinks of the right places to go with her vocals and the night notes to sing. I actually liked both of the, loved the chemistry that they displayed throughout the performance. It didn't seem fake
Who should win? I could go either way
Blake chose Kaleigh

Lightning Rounds............

Cali Tucker vs Ryan Whyte Maloney sang What's Love Got to Do With It by Tina Turner – Ryan Wins – Team Blake
Christina Grimmie vs Joshua Howard  sang I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift– Christina wins – Team Adam
Kristen Merlin vs Lindsay Bruce sang Turn on the Radio by Reba McEntire– Kristen wins – Team Shakira

Team Shakira: Cierra Mickens vs. Emily B. sang Brave by Sara Bareilles-- I loved Shakira's point, they both excelled in the same areas and both struggled in the same areas. Both had big moments but both of them need work because if they don't work hard, they are not going to get past the next round. I did like that they were both fighting for it, both were determined to get through this.
Who should win? The determination says that they both deserve a second chance.
Shakira chose Emily B. and Usher stole Cierra

American Idol Season 13: The Top 9 Nine Bring it on Band Night

Alex Preston sang Don't Speak by No Doubt-- I was digging this performance. I think he did such a good job of putting something together that stayed true to him but honored the original arrangement of the song. Keith wanted him to bring a little bit more edge. Jennifer said it's the kind of song that you can't help but identify with the original artist. This laid back version of it kind of sucked the energy out of the song. Harry wants to see him move around and engage the audience more.
Score: 7 out of 10

Majesty Rose sang  Shake it Out by Florence and the Machine-- The song was too big for her, and as a result vocally she seemed to get swallowed up by the song. Her performance was entertaining but the vocal still isn't there for me. Jenn admitted the vocals were all over the place but the performance was a ten. Harry felt she was so close to connecting and breaking through in this competition. You're so diverse that it's hard for people to find something to latch onto. He added that he was proud of her. Keith felt it was the perfect song for her but her energy gets dispersed with the energy of the crowd. You need to center yourself.
Score: 7 out of 10

Dexter Roberts sang Boondocks by Little Big Town-- Harry said you choose huge songs and it's rhythmically driven, and you need to be able to make it your own. Keith said had Little Big Town not sang that song and it was given to you, it would have been a hit on country radio for you. Jenn said she could see what Harry and Keith were saying, but felt  Dexter did a good job. It was hard for me to judge Dexter's performance cause vocally it was solid, but performance wise, it could have used a little bit more. I most identify with Keith's comments. I think he definitely could record country hits today, I think it's a matter of him showing us what is so special about him.
Score: 8 out of 10

Malaya Watson sang The Long and Winding Road by The Beatles-- Malaya's voice was just absolutely flawless in this number. I felt every word, and she took this song by The Beatles and she made it relevant to today; that's meaningful. I hear a passion in her voice, and it's not just a passion that is about her connection with words, but a passion to singing itself. t's very Lauryn Hill in Sister Act. Keith said that was beautiful baby. It really showed me your spirit. Jenn said your voice stands out above everyone else's for me. She compared him to a young Michael Jackson. Harry said you consistently improve. The performance was strong, you can become something great, don't worry about stardom, work on your craft.
Score: 10 out of 10

Sam Woolf sang Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's-- The performance had a good flow to it, vocally it was a solid performance, now he just needs to connect on a more emotional level with the song. Jenn said that song was perfectly suited to you. She wanted him to make a better connection to the song. Harry liked the stripped down performance of the song. Harry felt it was the most comfortable he has seen him. He agreed with Jenn's telling him to make a connection. Keith said don't feel obligated to hit every note perfectly, loosen the edges, glide around the words.
Score: 8 out of 10

Jessica Meuse sang Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac-- The song fit Jessica perfectly, this was her vibe totally. I could see her making a record very reminiscent of what Stevie Nicks did when Fleetwood Mac was at it's height. Harry said you did a nice job, you felt focused, and you were thinking about what the song means to you. This performance seemed different to me, nice job. Keith thought she looked comfortable. He said work on being as comfortable without an instrument as you are with it. Jenn said you have the voice, now I need to feel something too.
Score: 8 out of 10

CJ Harris sang If It Hadn't Been For Love by The SteelDrivers -- I love the feeling that CJ brings to his performances. He is committed, the problem was, vocally, it was not sound enough. There were a lot of hole in the vocals. Keith said it's not just about getting the note out but getting the point across. Keith and Jenn didn't think it was the best choice of song for him. Jenn didn't know the song well enough to be with him throughout the performance. Harry said you need to do a lot of things seamlessly and juggle many things to have a successful performance. Harry repeated that he has to work on his pitch. He said it was a good performance but he can do better.
Score: 7 out of 10

Caleb Johnson sang Dazed and Confused by Led Zepplin-- Nothing that Caleb does, surprises me, he is definitely the man to beat in this competition. Jenn said he can be her front man anytime. Harry said it was a great performance but something weird happened at the end. He said it's going to be tough for whoever is following that.
Score: 10 out of 10

Jena Irene sang Bring Me to Life by Evanescence-- I loved this performance, I am a huge Amy Lee fan, and this was Jena's wheelhouse. Vocally, she was strong, there was so much abandon in her voice, yet so much control. Harry said she followed Caleb's performance. He said she worked the audience, worked the bands, and I hope you're happy. Keith said she delivered. Jenn said she sounded phenomenal, she wanted her to be more messy.
Score: 10 out of 10

The Voice Season Six: The Second Weeks of Battles Roll On

Team Adam: Austin Ellis vs. Josh Kaufman sang Happy By Pharrell-- Both of these guys brought their "a" game. They were so tight vocally and their charm was able to win over the entire audience, and they had a camaraderie that was obvious on stage. Blake thought there was so much energy on stage. He felt Adam was solid, and he couldn't keep up with Josh. Usher said he would give it to Josh but says Austin has talent. Shakira called it one of the best battles, and thought they were both great singers and won over the audience. Adam said he was proud of both of them and they are equally good singers.
Who should win? Josh but Austin should get a steal
Adam chose Josh
(Usher why didn't you steal Austin?)

Team Blake: Alaska & Madi vs. Audra McLaughlin sang When Will I Be Loved by Linda Ronstadt-- Audra was cracking a lot in the higher notes and in the breaks; it was a little wobbly. I enjoyed the harmonies of the duo and I would choose them. Adam said he was upset cause he had to watch that performance and he has no steal left. He said he would have picked whoever didn't get picked. Usher and Shakira both seemed indifferent, and foolishly didn't use their steal. Adam told Usher he was a fool for not picking them. He said he would have picked Audra had Blake not picked her (whatevs, you wouldn't have).
Who should win? Alaska & Madi
Blake chose Audra

Team Shakira: Deja Hall vs. Music Box sang Eternal Flame by The Bangles-- Overall, I didn't think this song suited these ladies, but I would tend to go with Deja because she is so young and therefore has so much potential. Adam felt similarly. Blake said Deja has power but Music Box stands out and has a different sound than most. Usher said Deja is far beyond her age in voice, and said both of them will go far. Shakira called Music Box's tone, but felt she needed to focus on being vulnerable. She said Deja displayed power.
Who should win? Deja
Shakira chose Deja.... Usher stole Music Box (really Usher?, the steals have been kind of weird this season)

Team Usher: Madilyn Paige vs. Tanner James sang Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift-- I liked both of them, they were so good. They were believable, I believed that they were in love during that performance. It was also pure and innocent not only in portrayal but in voice. Adam said it was cute overload and it was so romantic, sweet, and sincere. Blake found both of them adorable. Usher called Tanner a heartthrob, and he felt Madilyn arrived. You supported each other but took the liberty to go outside your comfort zones and you let your personalities come out.
Who should win? I can't choose I genuinely liked both of them.
Usher chose Madilyn

Team Adam: Dawn & Hawkes vs. Josh Murley sang Stuck in the Middle with You by Steelers Wheel-- I loved it, it sounded like they were having a jam session. It was cool, but it was tough to hear each of them as individuals, I would find it difficult to choose someone. Usher was glued to the performance, so much so that he was waiting for their individuality to come out. Shakira said this group made her feel like having a beer. She called it a feel good performance.
Who should win? Unsure, but I loved Dawn & Hawkes' blind audition so much, everything they do seems magical.
Adam chose Dawn & Hawkes.... at the very last second as Josh was walking out Shakira stole him

Team Usher: Bria Kelly vs. Tess Boyer sang Take Another Piece of My Heart by Janis Joplin-- This was a strong battle from both of these ladies. I knew that Bria was going to pull through but to have Tess rise to the occasion was amazing. Tess deserves to get a steal. Adam said he is terrified of Team Usher because of Bria, she was his big loss. He did say that he wasn't a fan of Tess before but he is now. Blake felt that Tess took this battle. Usher said something special happened with Tess tonight.
Who should win? Bria
Usher chose Bria, and Blake stole Tess

Cannot wait until the last night of Battles tomorrow! Until then........

The Voice Season Six: The Battles Continue

Team Shakira: Clarissa Serna vs. Jeremy Briggs sang Cold as Ice by Foreigner-- I actually believe that this song was better suited to Jeremy, and I think out of everyone in this competition so far, he's been robbed more than anyone. The only coach able to see that Jeremy was better was Usher.
Who should win? Jeremy
Shakira chose Clarissa

Team Adam: Caleb Elder vs. Delvin Choice sang The Man by Aloe Blacc-- I actually genuinely liked both of these contestants. I wish both of them could have moved forward. Something that I learned about this song is that it's unusually tough to sing; it's tough to get the rhythm of this song right. Adam did a great job coaching them on it. It seemed unanimous with the judges comments that Delvin would be the one to emerge victorious.
Who should win? Delvin (secretly wish someone would have stolen Caleb)
Adam chose Delvin

Lightning Battle Rounds......

Team Blake – Megan Ruger vs. Ria Eaton – “My Happy Ending” – Avril Lavigne –Megan wins the battle
Team Shakira – Ddendyl vs. Lindsay Pagano – “I Feel the Earth Move” – Carole King – Ddendyl wins the Battle
Team Usher – Brothers Walker vs. Morgan Wallen – “Hey Brother” – Avicii –Morgan wins the battle
Team Usher: Brittnee Camelle vs. Melissa Jimenez sang Give it to Me by Melanie Fiona-- I loved this song choice, suited both women. I like both of them, Usher shouldn't have put them up against each other. What it comes down to is style and voice preference. I prefer the fullness and roundness of Brittnee's tone. Who should win? Brittnee (steal Melissa)
Usher chose Melissa, Adam and Shakira tried to steal Brittnee, Adam won.

The Voice Season Six: The Battles Begin!

Team Usher: Biff Gore vs. TJ Wilkins sang Ain't Too Proud To Beg by The Temptations-- I like both of these contestants very much. This was like a case of old school R&B verse new school R&B. Even the way they presented themselves on stage kept to that old vs. new mentality.
Who should win? They both sound great, hard for me to choose one.
Usher chose TJ and Blake stole Biff

Team Blake: Jake Worthington vs. Lexi Luca sang It Goes Like This by Thomas Rhett-- I preferred Jake in this. I was really attracted to his tone. I thought the song choice was great, it did a good job of suiting both voices. Usher loves Jake's confidence. Adam said they both have big voices. Adam essentially chose Jake and said that his voice coupled with Blake's partnership and what he does could take them to the end. He thinks Jake could win this thing.
Who should win? Jake
Blake chose Jake

Team Shakira: Dani Moz vs. Deshawn Washington sang My Kind of Love by Emeli Sande-- Dani is wicked wobbly and she's doing it throughout the whole performance. She was sliding into notes too rather than hitting them head on, and it sounded a little sloppy. Deshawn was clear and soulful. His voice was soaring. I loved them performing together, they seemed to play off each other. Adam couldn't pick one. Blake said Deshawn surprised the heck out of him on this performance. Usher said Dani understand emotional need and told Deshawn that big things come in small packages and he would choose him. Shakira regretted pitting them against each other.
Who should win? Hands down Deshawn for me.
Shakira chose Dani........ Shick shack (that's my nickname for Shakira....) you made a huge mistake.
Why didn't Usher choose Deshawn, he seemed passionate about him

Team Adam: Kat Perkins vs. Patrick Thomas sang Whenever I Call You Friend by Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks-- I am sure Patrick is a nice guy but I was slightly bored by his performance, it was too 80s, and not the good part of it. Kat was more interesting to watch. Something happened in the middle of the performance and Patrick sounded clearly off key, and it was just rough.
Who should win? Kat all the way.
Adam chose Kat, and Shakira (are you for real Shakira?) stole Patrick

Team Blake: Paula Deanda vs. Sisaundra Lewis sang Do What You Want by Lady Gaga-- Paula needs to work on her lower register. At times Paula is sounding like Sisaundra's back up singer. Towards the end Paula found her footing in this, her falsetto was great. Sisaundra's voice was strong throughout. Usher thought Paula had some pitch issues, and would have to give it to Sisaundra. Shakira said Sisaundra's high note did it. Blake appreciated both ladies.
Who Should Win? I love Paula but Sisaundra outsang her so Sisaundra deserves to win this. Some should have stolen Paula (a-hem Shakira, this would have been where to steal.... I also think Usher could have helped Paula a lot).
Blake chose Sisaundra

Team Usher: Jake Barker vs. Stevie Jo sang Higher Love by Steve Winwood-- These two are nicely matched. I am unsure who I would pick, I like different things about both of them. Shakira commented on Jake's falsetto, it was really good. Adam said whoever doesn't make it is going to be on my team. Adam said he doesn't have to help Usher because they are competing against each other. Blake said it was one of the most evenly matched battles. Usher said this has been his hardest choice since he started.
Who should win? both
Usher chose Stevie and Adam stole Jake

American Idol Season 13: The Top Ten Sing Top Tens

This was an up and down night of performances with lots of combat between the judges.

MK sang Perfect by Pink-- Love that track by Pink, didn't love the way she did it. Her vocals sounded weak and a little bit sloppy. She started strong, and it sounded like she ran out of breath and lost herself at the end. Keith told her to own the stage a little bit more. Jenn felt more emotion from her when she started the song than ever before. Harry didn't think it was one of her stronger performances. He feels she could put together a good album but wonders what she would put together a live show.
Score: 4 out of 10

Dexter Roberts sang Cruise by Florida Georgia Line-- This is literally one of my fave country songs ever. I love how it always makes you want to sing, and I loved how Dexter got into the song as well as the performance aspect of it. Jenn felt he sang it well, but wished he had done more to get the crowd with him. Harry did not think it was a good performance because he didn't get bigger than the song. Keith thought it was a good song choice and feels he is consistent. He liked how the song was slowed down at the beginning. Keith asked why he didn't do that throughout, and said to keep going with that and who he really is. I think with the exception of Keith, the judges are full of it. With hit songs, you're not ever going to be bigger than the song unless you have something super magical up your sleeve. And he did get the crowd in to it so I have no idea what Jenn is talking about.
Score: 7 out of 10

Jena Irene sang Clarity by Zedd-- Jena had some great energy on stage and got into it with the crowd. It started out a little quiet. It did sound like there were some technical problems, but her vocals trumped that once she got into the song. Harry said he could get a clear idea of who she is to that performance, and felt she did a lot to it considering there isn't a lot to the melody. Harry said he felt like he was at Ultra. Keith thought she moved around a lot and looked comfortable doing it. Jenn loved her singing that song.
Score:  8 out of 10

Alex Preston sang Story of my Life by One Direction-- I don't know about how the judges feel, but I liked that performance. Alex stayed true to who he was but still captured the intention of the song. His vocals were in a nice comfortable place. Keith thought he made it his own. Jenn said he owned the stage, sounded great, and reminded her of Buddy Holly. She said he evoked greatness. Harry thought he hit the bulls eye on the artistry target and leads the pack in that category.
Score: 9 out of 10

Malaya Watson sang When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars-- Love Bruno Mars, and his style suits her so much. I am happy she made the choice to not play the piano but to sit for the performance. I did feel her emotion and he sincerity so I did agree with the judges comments here. Jenn said that her not changing the lyrics did not affect her and she still had "goosies". Harry thought she was sincere in interpreting the lyrics. Keith loved hearing the control in her voice, and said it really pulled him in.
Score: 9 out of 10

Caleb Johnson sang Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga-- Caleb transformed that song and made it his own. I loved it, I anticipated those spots that get big and loud and dynamic and he handled those places exactly as I thought he would. Harry liked how he took this song and put his own spin on it. He gives him an "A+" for originality, but does feel he has done better performances. Keith said you have a killer tone and no one else has that sound. He didn't like the half time feel of it that Harry liked. He thought there was an imbalance in energy. Jenn thought it suited him in the half time feel but she thought it lacked the feeling.
Score: 8 out of 10

CJ Harris sang Invisible by Hunter Hayes-- I'm a little bit unsure of his performance. I do feel that he felt every word, but I felt like his vocals faltered in a few places. I could hear when he was going off key, and I am pretty sure he was aware of it. Keith said he nailed that song in rehearsal, but it was shaky tonight. He needs to stay in control of the pitch when the cameras are on. Work on it cause you have everything else going for you. Jenn said there is no doubt that his heart is in it. Harry said he is singing out of tune, and he needs to get his pitch in check. He purposely doesn't go to rehearsals because he doesn't care what people do in rehearsal.
Scores: 6 out of 10

Jessica Meuse sang Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People-- Jessica .... Jessica, I am still waiting for you to break out of this slump you're in. I liked this song choice, but it was quite provocative. Like Ryan said, when I played it for the first time, I didn't really hear it. I agree 100% with Jenn on this, I liked it and I understand the fact that she was trying to find that balance between lyrics and music. I think Harry took it a little too hard and literally. Jenn thought it felt really good tonight. Harry disagreed with Jenn and felt she had a complacent smile on her face. He felt her voice was one dimensional, and didn't get why she was smiling. Keith liked it and thought that she made it her own. Harry emphasized that the lyrics are not happy lyrics. Jenn said there is something more to it than the lyrics, there's the trippy melody and the groovy drive to it, so she believes Jessica was trying to find that balance in between on this.
Score: 7 out of 10

Majesty Rose sang Wake Me Up by Avicci-- I am indifferent to this. I am not a huge fan of this song to begin with so I actually liked the fact that she tried to change it. I don't necessarily think this was a winning performance for her. I still haven't seen from Majesty what I feel I want to see and hear or should see and hear. Harry felt like this performance was the Majesty that he liked when he first heard her. Keith likes Majesty but felt that the song didn't work the way she performed it. He thinks her voice always delivers. Jenn saw fear at the beginning of her performance and she said she needs to not allow herself to be affected by the negative things.
Score: 6 out of 10

Sam Woolf sang We Are Young by f.u.n. feat. Janelle Monae-- I liked this performance very much, it was actually one of my favorite tonight. I appreciated the arrangement, Sam's voice was dead on. I think he is one of the most talented contestants in the competition. Keith said he didn't have a lot of time to speak to him tonight, but said he will speak to him next week. Jenn loved it, thought it was so much better than last week. Harry still feels like he is timid. Really? I didn't feel like it was timid at all.
Score: 9  out of 10

My bottom 3 prediction: MK, Majesty, and CJ
Who is going home? MK

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Six ... The Last Night of Blinds

Uneventful final night of blind auditions....

There was a 4 chair turn that shouldn't have been. The last guy was the best, and everyone else was just okay.

**4 Chair Turn** Kaleigh Glanton sang Have You Ever Seen the Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival-- Completely unsure of why this was a four chair turn. In the end, Kaleigh goes with Team Blake. With a mediocre voice, she made a good choice for coach. I will look to be impressed in the battle rounds.
Kaleigh chose Blake and his team is complete

Brittnee Camelle sang Skyscraper by Demi Lovato--  I actually liked Brittnee. I think she has a strong voice, and I love her upper register. Usher turned pretty quickly, and Shakira pulled an Usher and waited til the last minute to turn. I can't believe Usher called her on it when he does it all the time. He was clearly taken by Brittnee; there was a look in his eye different from that of when he sees and hears other contestants. Blake and Adam encourage her to pick Shakira, and Brit preaches woman power, but in the end picks Usher.
Brittnee chose Usher and his team is complete

Lindsay Bruce sang Even if it Breaks Your Heart by Eli Young Band-- Adam and Shakira both turn for Lindsay but she ends up picking Shakira because she's a country singer, and Miranda Lambert is going to help out team Shakira.
Lindsay chose Shakira and her team is complete.

Caleb Elder sang Groove Me by King Floyd-- They saved the best for last tonight. I love Caleb's quirky nature. This is someone who actually deserved a four chair turn but didn't have the possibility of receiving one since Adam was the only coach with a spot to fill. This was totally Adam's gain because Caleb probably has more potential than any other contestant on this last night of blind auditions.
Adam gained Caleb

American Idol Season 13: The Top 11 Sing Songs from the Cinema

Sam Woolf sang Come Together by The Beatles from the movie Across the Universe-- Keith liked the way Sam loosened up in the performance, Jenn echoed that. I actually enjoyed hearing him sing a more upbeat song, something with meaning. I felt some passion from Sam this week.
Score: 8 out of 10

Jessica Meuse sang The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel from the movie The Graduate-- Jenn felt she never got the groove on in that song, but she does feel like she can win. Harry said the band was off, and he gave her props for sticking with it. Harry thought it was a nice job. I actually thought this was an improvement over last week, but I will admit that it didn't blow me away.
Score: 7 out of 10

CJ Harris sang Can't You See by the Marshall Tucker Band from the movie Blow-- Harry said he sang his way back to the forefront of the competition, and he felt it was a strong performance. Keith feels he knows exactly who he is from that song. Jenn said you have the ability to change the world with your music and she said she was proud of him. I'm not as enthusiastic as the judges are. I like CJ but I'd like to hear more soul from him and I still haven't heard it yet.
Score 7 out of 10

Dexter Roberts sang Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd from the movies Forrest Gump and Sweet Home Alabama-- Keith said he's starting to loosen up and really sing. Keith said find the places to make it individual to you and who you are. Jenn said it's a lot about personality, and she said you're starting to believe you can win, good performance. Harry said you're smart and you're going down the check list, solid performance. Dexter knows himself so well, and this was really the perfect song for him. He was in the zone the whole time. I agree with all the judges, I love his haircut, he looks strong and he sounds strong.
Score: 9 out of 10

Ben Briley sang Bennie and the Jets by Elton John from the movie 27 Dresses-- Jenn said she is confused because he was so country this past week, and now he's Elton John. Harry wonders if he has heard the real Ben. Keith misses his easy authenticity, and wonders who he is as an artist. I loved that he sang this.My only criticism is I don't think he has his falsetto mastered, but this was a strong performance, despite what the judges thought.
Score: 7 out of 10

Majesty Rose sang Let it Go by Idina Menzel from the movie Frozen-- Harry, Jenn, and Keith all had similar feedback for her. They all said that she's shown many sides of herself, singing Janelle Monae to Coldplay to a Disney song. They like that she's doing that. Harry said she may be spreading herself too think stylistically. Jenn said she can do anything as did Keith.  I felt the judges were easy on her and hard on Ben for doing the same things. I found her to be pitchy in several areas and the judges didn't mention that once. Overrated performance but a possibly overrated contestant.
Score: 6 out of 10

Caleb Johnson sang Skyfall by Adele from the movie Skyfall-- Keith said great song choice, and great vocal restraint. Jenn said perfect song choice for you, it took us away from the rock but still you. Harry said the competition started tonight. I thought the song choice was a big risk and it paid off big time. I loved how he was vulnerable but still powerful. He was the best of the night, and continues to be the most consistent.
Score 10 out of 10

MK Nobillette sang To Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan from the movie Hope Floats-- Jenn really loved it, and she felt her really trying to connect. Jenn said she reminds her of KD Lang. Harry said you sing beautifully, make sure if you sing a run, you nail it. Keith felt MK looked like a star, and saw glimpses of who she could be. This was her best performance yet. I was impressed and I actually did have tears in my eyes by the end. She showed vulnerability this week, and she made a connection.
Score: 8 out of 10

Alex Preston sang Falling Slowly by Glen Hansard from the movie Once-- Harry said I love that you had the opportunity to do this, it was simply stated, elegantly done, and I'm proud of you. Keith said your performances hold my attention because they're raw; I love your artistry. Jenn thought it was the perfect song for him, beautiful. Another one of my favorites tonight. I agree with everything the judges said. Alex continues to take risks by being different; he embraces it.
Score: 9 out of 10

Jena Irene sang  Decode by Paramore from the movie Twilight-- Keith loves when she plays the piano and the ferocity; it's exhilarating. Jenn thinks she has one of the best voices here. Harry said he can feel this big sigh of this relief from the contestants. He said you do your own thing and it was really really strong. This was my favorite Jena performance and one of my favorites of the night. She was the strongest girl, this was a passion filled performance, strong vocals, I could hear the influence of Hayley Williams but she was different than her. Jena kept herself out of the bottom three with that performance.
Score: 10 out of 10

Malaya Watson sang I Am Changing from the movie Dreamgirls-- Jenn said perfect song, perfect way to end the show. You have an amazing voice. Harry believes she's the belter of the group and thought she did a great job. Keith felt her energy and said that what she has inside is beautiful. What a strong vocal from Malaya. The song suited her well, and she equaled Jena's performance in value, vocal, and execution.
Score: 10 out of 10

My Bottom 3 Prediction (not easy to say at all!): Majesty Rose, Jessica Meuse, and CJ Harris or Ben Briley ..... I think Majesty is going home.

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Five

Kat Perkins sang Gold Dust Woman by Fleetwood Mac-- Kat has an awesome rock voice; I love the raw talent of someone like her. Adam and Shakira turned and then Usher a little later in the game. Usher called her a country singer. Were we listening to the same person Usher? Shakira said she wants her to be the architect of her own destiny. Adam said that last note at the end seared the entire audience. Kat said she chose Adam because he was so determined and confident in his pitch.
Kat chose Adam

Gabi Ramirez sang The A Team by Ed Sheeran-- I had a feeling when he was singing that she judges were not going to turn. Perhaps it was the song, but it just was not special enough. Shakira talked about the dynamics lacking.

Paula Deanda sang The Way by Arianna Grande-- Wow, I loved Paula Deanda, this is an amazing story because I remember when she first came out and I loved her single Walk Away. Adam called Blake a no brainer, lol. Blake made a great pitch, he said she's not afraid to try anything. Blake sees a victory in her future. Maybe it was because she's a Texas girl, but Paula went with Blake. I was surprised because she thought she was going to go with Shakira.
Paula chose Blake

Jake Barker sang When I Was Your Man by Bruno Mars-- I didn't care for some of the vocal choices that he made. It was slightly weird because he was up high for the entire song. Usher turned first, then Adam and Shakira. Jake said that he has never performed on a stage before. Shakira liked the trills whereas Adam didn't care for them and felt he needed coaching. Usher said he would support what he wants to do (even if it's wrong?). Shakira said you can allow yourself to be vulnerable with me. Usher said do you want a mom or a mentor?
Jake chose Usher

Lightning Rounds....

Tess Boyer sang Wings by Lil Mix and she went to Team Usher
Josh Murley sang The Freshman by The Verve Pipe and he went to Team Adam
Austin Ellis Drift Away by Dobie Gray and he went to Team Adam
Cali Tucker (Tanya Tucker is her aunt) sang Black Velvet Alannah Myles and she went to Team Blake

Luke Cooper sang Radioactive by Imagine Dragons-- I liked all the small details that came out of his voice as he was singing. Oh wait, we're almost done and no one has turned around yet, what's going on? Wow, really, no one turned!

Ria Eaton sang Cups by Lulu and the Lampshades-- She really deserved for Shakira and Blake to turn around at the last minute. I loved that rasp in her voice, and I hope she goes far in this competition. Blake felt she sang better when she started to think no one was going to turn around. Shakira said she is like a pearl inside an oyster. Adam and Usher tried to get Ria to pick Shakira and even got the audience on her side, but she said she had to go with her heart and she picked Blake.
Ria chose Blake

Cierra Mickens sang Crazy by Knarls Barkley-- Loved her song choice and how her voice kept getting stronger and the dynamics were becoming more and more distinct. Shakira went up and congratulated her. Blake tried to say Usher turned too late. Adam was the only one who didn't turn. Cierra said she picked Shakira because of how genuine she was.
Cierra chose Shakira

Tyler Montgomery sang I Wish by Stevie Wonder-- No one turned around. Adam told Tyler to come back because his voice has an amazing tone to it. I agree. I think perhaps he needed to choose a different song.

Alaska & Madi sang Barton Hollow by The Civil Wars-- The girls were so in tune, the dynamics were right on. I like them a lot. Adam turned first and then Blake. Adam was confident in his pitch, but Blake talked about how they're from Oklahoma, and he compared them to the Pistol Annie's and said I'm married to one of them. Adam begged them to pick him, and they said despite the fact that they love Adam, they were going to have to choose Blake.
Alaska & Madi chose Blake

Ddendyl sang Stand By Me by Ben E. King-- She has an interesting tone for sure. Shakira turned early, she has a similar tone to Shakira. This is also a surprising song choice for her, but she's singing it so well. I like how she reinvented it, and it looks like she's on Team Shakira.
Ddendyl is on Team Shakira

People who didn't make it....
Theresa Payne sang Crazy in Love by Beyonce
Bryson Dunn sang I Wanna Dance With Somebody Whitney Houston
Unidentified sang Thunderdome by Tina Turner

Josh Kaufman sang One More Try by George Michael-- Amazing! I forgot how much I love George Michael. That performance was amazing, his vocals were ridiculous. I loved the feeling, loved the tone. Adam turned, then Blake, then Shakira, and lastly Usher. Usher feels soul music is at the base of all music. Adam said he has an extensive knowledge of music and commented about how quickly he turned around. Blake said those are the knee jerk reactions you can expect from him as a coach. Adam said that's passion. Shakira said people are at a stage now where they want the real thing not gimmicks and he is the real deal. He could pick anyone. After Josh picked Adam he commented that Josh could win the whole thing.
Josh chose Adam

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Four

The Blind Auditions continue on....

Megan Ruger sang Just Like a Pill by Pink--This was one of those performances that grew stronger as she sang. By the end I was like, why hasn't anyone turned around yet? When she hit the chorus, she hit her stride. There's definitely an edge to her voice so Pink's song really suited her. Blake and Usher looked at each other and turned at the end. Blake says he wants to win; Usher feels he could help her work on her weaknesses. He wants to be the mentor who brings out the best in her. She asks who loves 80's rock more, and Blake says it's him. I was a little surprised that...
Megan chose Blake

Morgan Wallen sang Collide by Howie Day-- I love his voice, and I actually like this better than the original. Sorry Howie Day, and where are you? What I like the most is how he ended the song, amazing! Morgan's voice has a great rasp to it like Michael Bolton. Shakira turned quickly, almost right after he started singing. Usher turned a little later in the game. Shakira says she turned because there isn't another voice like his on radio, and she likes the grit in his voice. Usher believes he has a lot of potential and wants to coach him. I thought Morgan would go with Shakira.
Morgan chose Usher

James Cavern sang Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye, no one turned.

Montage....

Dani Moz sang I Need Your Love, and she goes to Shakira
Music Box sang You Gotta Be by Desiree, and she goes to Shakira
Lexi Luca sang Wasting All These Tears on You by Casadee Pope, and she goes to Blake

Emily B. sang Wicked Games by Chris Isaak-- I love Emily's voice, she has a breathy quality to her voice. The song fit her like a glove with the changes she made to it. The runs were HOT. I am actually surprised that Adam didn't turn around and make this a four chair turn. Adam admitted he was stupid for not turning around..... well done Adam! Blake thinks her falsetto is strong and she nailed it. Emily said as long as she can get some soul into it, she's happy. Usher said he knows about soul and Blake said he has one. Shakira liked that she changed the arrangement.
Emily chose Shakira

Stevie Jo sang There Goes My Baby by Usher-- So funny how Blake and Adam were debating whether or not to push the button, but Adam agreed he was going to go with Usher. There's no doubt that Stevie has no problem using his falsetto. I can't wait to hear him sing other songs. I hope every performance is as good as or better than that one. The judges thought he was black, but he's actually a white man from Texas, lol. Usher said he made a great song choice, and Shakira loved how he worked his way through the high notes and called his falsetto perfect.

People who didn't make it....
Josh McMillan, Melany Watson, and Branden Mendoza

**4 Chair Turn** Audra McLaughlin sang Angel from Montgomery by Bonnie Raitt-- I am not sure that I am as enthusiastic about her as the judges are. I think I will make my determination when I hear her sing a different song. Adam exclaimed that he turned around way before anyone else, and Blake said who gives a crap. Shakira said she is the one that they've been waiting for, it has raspyness, sweetness, and power. Adam said she is isn't wearing cowboy boots so she has a chance. Blake played the wife card and said that Miranda used to sing that song all the time. Blake said when she was singing fireworks went off in his head and spelled out team Blake. Blake is so funny.

American Idol Season 13: The Top 12...Songs about Home

Last night the top 12 performed songs that reminded them of home. It was an interesting selection of songs to say the least everything from J. Lo to Montgomery Gentry. It was also a night of mediocre performances. I, like the judges, struggled to really praise the performances of the contestants when there really wasn't much to praise. Big deal, you did an "okay performance"; I am sure it left the judges wondering in some cases why they selected some of these contestants in the first place.

Those that did perform well seem to do so on a regular basis; they're consistent. I failed to remind those reading my blog last week that I give the contestants a score from one to ten --- one being you're destined to be sent home to ten being you could win this thing.

Here was the performance order: Jena Irene, Alex Preston, Jessica Meuse, Dexter Roberts, Emily Piriz, Caleb Johnson, MK Nobilette, CJ Harris, Sam Woolf, Malaya Watson, Ben Briley, and Majesty Rose.

Last night there was only one performance that was a ten to me, and that was Caleb Johnson who performed Working Man by Rush; dude stole the show. He was the only one who had a performance that would be able to stand up in the real world. He performs like he's been doing it for years. He is someone who reminds me of a cross between former contestants Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry. Harry says he is the most consistent of any contestant, but wonders what he can do to make rock n' roll more contemporary. Harry also cautions him to not be so predictable. Keith says that his voice is an amazing gift, and he says Caleb is one of the best singers that he has heard in a long time. Jennifer says she was waiting all night for a performance like this, and he brings it every time.
Caleb: 10 out of 10

There were a couple of 8's-- above average

Dexter Roberts singing Lucky Man by Montgomery Gentry and Malaya Watson singing Take Me to the King by Tamela Mann.

Dexter dedicated his performance to someone back home who is no longer with them, and that honesty and vulnerability is what makes him to well liked by the Idol viewer. I loved this performance, it was simple yet meaningful. Keith thought it was the perfect song choice, and liked the phrasing choices he made. Jennifer mentioned Scotty McCreery and how he would choose songs that were surprising yet so him. Harry emphasizes that it was without question the best performance of the night so far (and it would be one of the best overall)
Dexter: 8 out of 10

Malaya is definitely back on her game, she went from being in the bottom two last week to being one of the best. Being at the piano suited her, and she reminded me a little bit of Alicia Keys. She has a quiet power to her voice just like Alicia, and I actually heard her making an effort to enunciate every word. Harry was proud that she stayed in control all the way through. Keith and Jenn both praised her powerful vocal, and liked the song choice. Keith was actually standing up.
Malaya: 8 out of 10

There was a trio of 7's, all in the second half of the show---

They were Sam Woolf singing Just One by Blind Pilot, Ben Briley singing Turning Home by David Nail, and Majesty Rose singing Fix You by Coldplay.

Sam is so talented he is one of those people I could listen to all day. The problem is something that Harry cited which is that he doesn't always connect emotionally. Keith agreed with Harry, but on the positive side, he felt like his tone was butter and would buy his album tomorrow. Jenn said she wants to see a "super wow" performance from him.
Sam: 7 out of 10

Ben sounded good, not great, but good. The problem with this performance wasn't the performance value, but that the song itself was so vocally complicated that he lost track of the story along the way. Jenn said she felt it had a shaky start but she was with him by the end and felt the emotion. Harry said he didn't connect with the song, and he felt like it was shouted at the end. Keith also agreed with Harry and said he lost the emotion.
Ben: 7 out of 10

Majesty Rose was someone for me that was on the cusp of being a 6 but I gave her a seven. The beginning of the song was great, but when the second half came along, it was like she completely forgot what she was singing about. She sang this huge note and her voice cracked, and it was off key. I liked the song quiet. I didn't like how she reinvented the end. Harry said that he liked the beginning but not the end. Jenn reminded her that she doesn't always have to go for the big note.
Majesty: 7 out of  10

My 6 of the week went to Emily Piriz for her performance of Let's Get Loud by Jennifer Lopez.

My issue with this performance was the same issue that Harry had which is that the song and the production of it was too big for her. Basically she wasn't loud enough for Let's Get Loud and the song swallowed her whole. Keith says he loves it but doesn't say why and Jenn can't be critical of someone performing her own song.
Emily: 6 out of 10

There were four 5's in my opinion-- Jena Irene sang Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall, Alex Preston sang I Don't Wanna Be by Gavin DeGraw, Jessica Meuse sang White Flag by Dido, and CJ Harris sang Waiting on the World to Change by John Mayer.

This may be a bit harsh, but it's very honest, and I am going to be brief in my comments. All these people are in danger of going home tonight.

Jena is 17; this song was boring. She had no energy and it showed. Harry wanted more from her.
Jena: 5 out of 10

Alex sang a great song, but I don't know that the arrangement was right for him. Harry didn't like the arrangement. Keith said he felt the song was around him rather than him being centered in the song.
Alex: 5 out of 10

I love Jessica, but this song was a curse for her. It was really boring, and for a rocker that's not a good thing. Harry felt the performance was blasé. She went sharp for almost the whole thing. and Harry said no one clapped or cheered on her high note because it was so off. He didn't feel she was present in the performance. Jenn agrees and says her conviction was missing.
Jessica: 5 out of 10

CJ has tons of potential to do well in this competition but has failed to capitalize on it thus far because of bag song choices and bad arrangements. Harry said he was also sharp. Keith said he needs to make the song his own. I agree; I didn't feel a connection.
CJ: 5 out of 10

My only four of the night goes to MK who sang Drops of Jupiter by Train.

I love this song but this performance was a train wreck from start to finish. First off, she showed no confidence while she was singing or in her song choice. There were a few times where she seemed to forget lyrics or her arrangement. Keith said she seemed to have no connection with the song. Harry wondered if she really wanted to be there.
MK: 4 out of 10

Bottom 3 prediction: MK, Jena, and a toss up between Jessica and CJ (with Jessica probably on the losing end of this). Who will go home? Look for MK to be sent packing.

And now for something I've never done before!---

Introducing my sidekick....

The mysterious "M's" bottom 3 prediction: Jessica, MK, and Alex. Who will go home? MK

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Three

**4 Chair Turn** Ryan Whyte Maloney sang Lights by Journey-- I don't think I understood why this was a four chair turn, but I would love for him to prove it to me. Usher said he waited to turn because he wanted to see if Ryan would work for it and he did. Adam said they both have high voices so they're friends already; he compared him to the great Steve Perry. Blake called him a stud and loved his high voice. Shakira said that they are a match made in heaven. Ryan said his kids would tell him to choose Team Blake so ....
Ryan chose Blake

Deshawn Washington sang Twistin' the Night Away by Sam Cooke-- I loved Deshawn's performance, that's real soul music; we need more voices in the market like that. Wow, Shakira was the only intelligent person to turn. Usher than proceeded to call himself stupid, yup, you're stupid Usher. Shakira said, guys get over it, I'm the only smart one here. He has vintage soul.
Deshawn chose Shakira

Sam Behymer sang Royals by Lorde-- I actually really liked how her voice was so free, you could hear flaws but the flaws seemed deliberate. Her voice was breathy. Adam and Usher turned. Adam said Sam is a breath of fresh air. Usher said if you'd like to be on my team I would compliment your growth, and talked about how he loves individuality and mentioned Michelle Chamuel. Usher said hopefully you'll be on my team later if Adam doesn't understand you.
Sam chose Adam

Lightning Rounds....

Savanna Santos sang The Way I Am
Scott Stevens sang Boondocks
Aaleilah Dixon sang Want U Back......... and no one chose any of these people

Brendan Ryan sang Love on Top by Beyonce-- The judges are idiots. I thought that someone should have turned around. Usher tried to excuse it, but there's no excuse. Blake was right, they missed out on that one.
He had a great range, and very talented, playing the guitar and all that, wow, they should bring him back.

Brothers Walker sang Keep Me in Mind by Zac Brown Band-- I love how their voices blend together so well, but then again, they should because they're not just brothers but twins. This was a great song choice for them too. Seriously why did no one turn around except for Usher at the last second?
Brothers Walker chose Usher

**4 Chair Turn** Clarissa Serna sang Zombie by The Cranberries-- Clarissa has a great rock voice, but what's even better is that she didn't try to copy the original version of the song. She took it and made it very much her own. It kind of annoyed me is that Usher waited until the last second once again to turn around. Adam turned quickly, followed by Shakira, and Blake. I was a little surprised initially that she chose Shakira as her coach, but it makes sense, Shakira is a rocker as well. What annoyed me the most was Shakira comparing herself to Alexander the Great..... seriously Shakira.
Clarissa chose Shakira

Montage time (hate when they do this...)

Lindsay Pagano sang Lady Marmalade by Christina Aguilera and co.-- She chose Team Shakira
Joshua Howard sang This is What it Feels Like by Armin Van Buuren-- He chose Team Adam
Tanner James sang Heaven by Bryan Adams-- He chose Team Usher

Melissa Jimenez sang If I Aint's Got You by Alicia Keys-- Shakira perked up when she heard her singing in Spanish. Usher and Shakira both pushed their buttons at the same time at the very end. Usher liked that she started singing in acapella. Shakira and Melissa were conversing and I thought that they were relating to each other pretty well. Melissa picked Usher because she sees herself being the female version of him. She does have a good voice, I'd like to see how she will grow in the competition; I think she is someone who could be around for a while.
Melissa chose Usher

Patrick Thomson sang Can't You See by The Marshall Tucker Band-- I have to say, I hope Patrick will impress me in the next round because I didn't see him getting by the blind audition. It was just a little too ordinary for my liking. However, Blake and Adam turned around.
Patrick chose Adam

**4 Chair Turn**Sisaundra Lewis sang Ain't No Way by Aretha Franklin-- This started off a little rough but she really brought it home. She has one of those really powerful gospel voices, but it's also different, the tone and range of her voice is great. Shakira was the first to turn, then Adam, then Blake, and after she hit the high note Usher was in at the end. Blake said he's way in over his head because he thinks he has no chance of getting her. He says I would buy your record tomorrow, please pick me. Adam doesn't think it's her best so her best must be incredible. Usher says he was reluctant to push his button cause this is one of his favorite songs, and he sees opportunity for growth. Shakira thinks her voice is ravishing and says she's good with girls cause she's a girl and Adam says I'm good with girls too baby.
Sisaundra chose Blake

My fave two of the night were Clarissa and Sisaundra

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night One

**4 Chair Turn** Christina Grimmie sang Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus-- I absolutely loved Christina's take on this song, it was different than the original. What was great about it was how powerful her vocals were as the song built and how she went from loud to soft with such control. This is someone I would watch throughout. Adam praised her comfort level on the stage. Shakira said Adam is tired. Usher said he would understand who she is as an artist and how to unlock her full potential. Blake said he just wants to see her win this show. Christina says she loves all of them but ...
Christina chose Adam

TJ Wilkins sang Bennie and the Jets by Elton John-- The three guys turned around, and Shakira should have joined in because TJ has an awesome voice and I loved the way that he sang this. He took Bennie and the Jets and turned it into an even more soulful version of the song. His range was pretty impressive too; he should go far! Adam said he has a unique flair because it was an Elton John song but an R&B performance. Usher thought his creativity is what helps to define him as an artist. Blake joked with him and said his full voice when he goes for high notes in unbelievable. Shakira said mix it up, be adventurous, go with Blake.
TJ chose Usher

Kristen Merlin sang Something More by Sugarland -- An excited Adam and fist pumping Shakira turned around for Kristen. There is something about her voice that's quite different, I just don't know that her voice impressed me in the way that other contestants have. Adam liked the way that she dipped in and out of notes. Blake said he didn't hit his button because she has a fast vibratto and Blake feels Shakira could help her control that. Shakira said if Kristen picks her she would call Miranda to have Miranda coach her to be Kristen's coach.
Kristen chose Shakira

Tanner Linford sang Stay by Rihanna-- No one turned. I actually really liked this kid, at 16, for him to be able to go on stage and sing like that with so much confidence. I wish I had that quality. Adam told him to work on feeling and living the song. Usher said that he hopes Tanner works on his voice and comes back, and he said he would. I am definitely hoping to see him again. Blake said Tanner already has a great voice and something that separates him from others. Adam said don't change when the ladies start falling all over you.

**4 Chair Turn** Biff Gore sang A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke-- Biff is so passionate about music and you can tell that from his performance. Adam was right with what he said, some things are just classic, and you don't want to mess with it, you just want to be a part of it. Shakira asked if she could be his date at the Grammy's when they win this. Usher said individuality is what makes you stand out from the rest. Blake said you just took me to church.
Biff chose Usher (I thought he was going to pick Blake)

Dawn & Hawkes sang I've Just Seen a Face by The Beatles-- I loved this duo so much. They remind me of Alex and Sierra who just won X Factor. There's something about them that is so pure, genuine, and organic. This comes so naturally to them, and I feel like they are going to be in this competition for a while. Adam and Shakira turned. Adam said based on his taste and his roots that was his favorite performance he's ever seen on The Voice. He said that in some way he needs to be a part of their journey. Shakira agreed with Adam and felt embraced by them and captivated by their performance. Usher and Blake threw their support to Shakira but nevertheless....
Dawn & Hawkes chose Adam (Dawn was blown away by Adam's heartfelt speech)

Leo Gallo sang Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke-- Wow, I thought he was entertaining and I actually liked his voice, I am disappointed that the judges didn't turn around, it sure seemed like they were toying with the idea. His range was dope. Blake asked Leo and Adam if they wanted to exchange numbers. Leo said he wanted to dance with one of the judges and said he heard that Blake has moves. Leo then broke out into a dance and the judges were impressed. Adam asked him to come back and hold back on the dancing and focus on his voice.

Jeremy Briggs sang Bad Company by Bad Company-- I liked Jeremy and I think he has a powerful rock voice, but it's a little bit dated, very 80's. Blake and Shakira turned. Blake loved the way he sang through that first verse, it was smooth and had power. Shakira said she is hungry for success, Blake said, "we'll fix you a sandwich". She emphasized how much she wants to win.
Jeremy chose Shakira

Jake Worthington sang Don't Close Your Eyes by Keith Whitley-- He has improved so much. I can't even believe the difference from one year to the next. I loved the fullness and the feeling in his voice; it was touching. Adam turned, then Blake and finally Shakira (who Blake told to turn back around). Adam said I know you were waiting for Blake to turn around, but I did not wait for Blake to turn around. Adam called his performance perfect and Shakira agreed, and Jake said, you're perfect Shakira. Blake said he sang a true country song and asked him if he wanted to start his journey into country music with Adam. Jake said, Adam I appreciate you fighting for me, and my aunt thinks you're the sexiest thing on Earth, but I have to go with Blake.
Jake chose Blake

Karina Mia sang Beneath Your Beautiful by Emeli Sande and Labrinth-- No one turned for her. I agree with Usher, I was waiting for a little more from her, but I agree with Blake's thoughts as well. Blake thought her middle range was spectacular and loved her vibrato.

**4 Chair Turn** Bria Kelly sang Steamroller Blues by James Taylor-- Bria was electrifying, it was almost impossible to believe that that voice came out of her. At 17, to have that level of maturity is incredible. Adam and Blake turned quickly, followed by Shakira, and Usher was the last to turn. Bria had said that her preference for a coach was Adam, but who knows if that will hold true. Adam said I can't believe that was you, and Bria expressed that she feels like she was born in the wrong generation. Usher said she was born in the right generation and it's brought them together.... awwww..... Bria said she used to play country and Blake called her a stud. Shakira said Bria reminds her or herself, and she has an energy that takes over the room. Blake said I am your fan no matter what. Usher tried to bribe her with a Grammy, and Adam joked that if you're Usher you can turn your Grammy's into shoes. I like Usher, but I feel like it was lame that he brought out his Grammy. Like Blake said, what does his Grammy have to do with her?
Bria chose Usher (watch another coach snatch her up after he dumps her, bets?)

Way too many people impressed me on this show.
