American Idol Update

Clay Aiken announced to People magazine that he is gay.... Aiken returns to his role as Sir Robin in Spamalot through January 4, 09.
Jennifer Hudson will release her self titled debut CD September 30th; she also recently became engaged to her boyfriend David Otunga. Here is the music video for the first single off her album... "Spotlight"---
Well, the lovely Miss Carrie Underwood has won the honor two years in a row, and this year goes for a three-peat. She received a nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year at the Country Music Awards as well as a nomination for Album of the Year. The CMA's air Wednesday November 12th at 8 p.m. on ABC. She has also recently released her fourth single from Carnival Ride, the event timely, "Just a Dream"--
Constantine Maroulis leads the cast of the off Broadway musical, "Rock of Ages"; opening night is October 16th. The musical features the music of Bon Jovi, Journey, Styx, and other 80s rock groups. Click here if you want to buy tickets---
Kellie Pickler's self titled sophomore CD will be released on September 30th; she is nominated for Best New Artist at this years CMA's.
Current American Idol, David Cook releases his debut album on November 18th; his myspace page talks about the new album--- His first single off the album will be "Light On" which will be available on itunes starting September 30th; Rob Cavallo (Grammy Award winner) produced the song. He has previously worked with Green Day. -- take a listen to "Light On"!
I am totally loving David Archuleta's first single off his debut CD, "Crush", and it is climbing the charts; Archuleta will release the CD one week before Cook on November 11th. Until his official website opens you can find out any new David A. news here---
