The Voice Season 28: The Battles Come to a Close and the Knockouts Begin

Team Snoop: Ralph Edwards vs. Jerrell Melton sang Lose Control by Teddy Swims-- I have a feeling Snoop is going to choose Ralph; however, I would choose Jerrell. I liked how polished his runs were in this performance. Niall loved the song choice. Reba said powerful and smooth like butter. She loved the harmonies, she said it would be a hard decision but she would go with Jerrell. Michael compared Jerrell to Sam Cooke but said Ralph will go far on the show. Snoop said Jerrell went out of the box.
Snoop chose Ralph, just like I suspected

Team Reba: Shan Scott vs. Peyton Kyle sang Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House-- I have been a huge Peyton fan since the blinds. I love what he did here. Shan, I didn't really pay attention to, but I loved her here. I would still go with Peyton. He just impressed the heck out of me. I also loved this acoustic version. Snoop couldn't choose. Michael would lean more Peyton and Niall would lean more Shan. Reba said she loves the break in Peyton's voice.
Reba chose Peyton

Lightning Round:
Team Michael: Teo Ramdel vs. Elias Gomez sang Die with a Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars
Michael chose Teo

Team Niall: Dek of Hearts vs. Jack Austin sang I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons-- I love both artists. I think I would lean with Jack just because I love his theater influence and I am excited to see how he grows. Reba said Dek of Hearts you guys are great, I love the harmonies, Jack, you're cute as a button. I'd pick all four of you. Michael said Jack you fit in perfectly with Dek of Hearts. Snoop liked how Jack was dancing up there. He said they were all just having fun up there and he's glad that he doesn't have to choose.
Niall chose Dek of Hearts and Michael stole Jack

The Knockouts:

Mega Mentor: Joe Walsh

Team Reba: Aubrey Nicole sang I'm Gonna Love You Through It by Martina McBride and Leyton Robinson sang I Could Use a Love Song by Maren Morris --  Aubrey sounded beautiful! I love Leyton but I think she sounded a little shouty in this performance. Reba said Leyton took great direction from Joe. Reba said Aubrey your performance reminded me of how life goes on. I'm leaning towards Aubrey, and Reba chose Aubrey.

Zac Brown is the other Mega Mentor.

Team Snoop: Ralph Edwards sang Dive by Ed Sheeran and Kenny Iko sang There Goes My Baby by Usher-- I love Kenny's confidence and energy on the stage. He is definitely my type of artist and song choice was perfect for him. Reba was standing up for him! She loved it. I liked Ralph's performance as well but I think ultimately, I felt Kenny's a little more. Niall said Kenny I feel like I'm watching a pop star. Reba said Kenny you took control of the stage, Ralph your voice comes from your toenails. Michael said Kenny you prepare for your performances and come and hang with us. Ralph you sang with ease. Snoop said Kenny you're a superstar, and this is called showbiz. Ralph you showed that there is more to your voice.
Snoop chose Ralph, wow, I think that was an oversight.

Team Niall: Sadie Dahl sang Good at Goodbyes by Sam Smith and Ava Nat sang Hopelessly Devoted to You by Olivia Newton John-- I loved both ladies, but I think I agree with Niall, I lean towards Ava and her storytelling abilities. Reba said she can't choose, she'd pick them both. Sadie your vibrato and Ava your beautiful tone. Ava I'd give you the edge today. Snoop said he would lean towards Sadie. Niall said Sadie you straightened out your pitch issues, and Ava you told a beautiful story. Niall said Ava is consistent every time, I feel so confident.
Niall chose Ava

Loving Aubrey Nicole, Ava Nat, and Peyton Kyle in this episode <3 <3 <3

The Voice Season 28: These Blinds are The Joy of My Life

Cori Kennedy sang Why Not Me by The Judds-- She's super talented and even wrote a song about being on The Voice. Reba and Michael turned. Reba said she has such power. Michael was wearing Reba socks.
Cori chose Reba of course

Revel Day sang Somewhere Only We Know by Keane-- I loved the sound of his voice. There was a real fullness which all the coaches talked about. Michael, Niall, and Reba turned. Snoop said he did not turn because he felt the other coaches would serve him better.
Revel chose Niall

Natalia Albertini sang Out Here On My Own by Irene Cara-- Her voice is a little shaky. I don't think the song was the best to showcase her voice. Snoop turned right away. Reba turned. Snoop liked how calm Natalia was even after he turned. Reba said your performance and your voice touched me so much.
Natalia chose Snoop

Marty O'Reilly sang Trouble by Ray LaMontagne-- He has tons of texture and rasp in his voice. There is also a lot of vibrato. Love the song choice. Niall turned and then Michael and Snoop turned right before the end. Snoop said he could not let Marty's classic sound get away. Niall said his rasp was insane. Michael reminded Marty that he was the last champion.
Marty chose Michael

**FOUR CHAIR TURN**
Kayleigh Clark sang Stay by Sugarland-- I loved her, she had so much heart in her performance. Reba said she was proud. Michael said he loves country music. Snoop reminded Kayleigh that he turned first and would give her room to grow on his team. Niall said he turned based off the goosebumps, he compared her to Carrie Underwood, and liked how she portrayed the feelings.
Kayleigh chose Niall

Daron Lameek sang All Night Long by Lionel Richie-- Daron has a cool sound, I will be interested to see how he sounds outside of a song like this (Niall said something similar). Reba and Michael turned. Reba said she cannot wait to see what he does next with his voice. Michael said no one wants to go against Reba, she is like the most iconic female artist in American history.
Daron chose Reba

Rob Cole sang Joy of My Life by Chris Stapleton--  I absolutely LOVED his voice. I think Reba would have been the better coach for him but Michael blocked Reba and they were the only ones who turned. Niall mentioned that he sounded like Gavin DeGraw, I could not agree more.
Rob is on Team Michael

Justin Jenks sang Sex and Candy by Marcy Playground-- loved his sound so much, no one turned, I hope he comes back.

Aarik Duncan sang Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish-- You can tell that Aarik has so much musicality. His version of this song was so cool. I am so shocked that Michael was the only turn. Last year Michael won on a one chair turn so it's possible.
Michael chose Aarik

**FOUR CHAIR TURN**
Sadie Dahl sang Colors by Black Pumas-- Loved the tone of her voice. I did not think it was the best song choice. She is 19 though, so she is mature beyond her years. Snoop said I hear a little bit of everything from you. Niall blocked Michael.  Niall said she got better as the performance went on. Reba said you can definitely win this thing, that was mesmerizing. I am proud that you're on The Voice. Michael said I am devastated for myself but happy for you. Snoop said, Sadie, dare to be different, just like you are.
Sadie chose Snoop and Niall's block was wasted, lol

 Night 4:

Toni Lorene sang Cuz I Love You by Lizzo-- Her vocals are stylized and earn turns from Reba, Niall, and Snoop. In the end, she can't help but choose "Uncle Snoop".

Austin Gilbert sang The Kind of Love We Make by Luke Combs-- I enjoyed his voice and his performance. He has an old school country voice. Niall turned and then Michael came in at the very end. Niall said a lot of power behind your voice, this is something we don't have right now. Reba said I will steal you later. Michael said you can't make a wrong choice.
Austin chose Michael

Kenny Iko sang Versace on the Floor by Bruno Mars-- Started a little slow, but loved his performance. His falsetto is crazy. It was cool how he made the song his own. Snoop turned quickly. Niall turned shortly after. Kenny told Snoop he loves to sing for the ladies. Snoop said you would fit on my team, I love what you're doing. Niall said I loved your version of the song, you did things that were different from when Bruno did the record.
Kenny chose S-N-O-O-P

Leyton Robinson sang Weren't for the Wind by Ella Langley-- Leyton has a great voice, definitely turn worthy. She has a strong voice-- fierce for sure. Snoop turned early on and Reba turned at the very end much to Snoop's dismay. Snoop said the way you sound, the way you made me feel, your energy is why I turned. Reba said I have a lot of country singers on my team, but the more I heard you sing, the more I fell in love with your voice. I had to turn.
Leyton chose Reba

Liv Ciara sang Espresso by Sabrina Carpenter-- Wow! This was surprising that no one turned. Reba told her to come back.

**FOUR CHAIR TURN**
Kirbi sang God Only Knows by King + Country-- Best voice and performance of the night, maybe both nights. All the coaches turned. Niall said I was all in from the beginning. Reba asked her what kind of music she likes to sing and she said country blues. Michael said he is also a person of faith like her and said you can transcend genres. I am good coach and I hope you'll consider joining Team Michael. Snoop invited mom out to the stage. Snoop said it is beautiful that you sang a song and chose to stand on your faith.
Kirbi chose Niall
