Night 2:
Koumba Diallo sang Stone Cold by Demi Lovato-- I absolutely love this song, first off. Second, her ability to knock this out of the park at 15 is crazy to me. Everyone turned and everyone wanted her on their team. Adam said at 15, he could barely do a thing. Kelly mentions having won the show with younger singers. I think that sealed the deal because Queen mentioned starting in show business at 15, but Koumba still chose Kelly.
Alt Bloom sang Bones by Maren Morris-- His tone is interesting, I like the song choice, he has a folk/ alternative sound to him. Queen turned. Riley turned right at the end. Performance definitely got better as it went on. Riley thought the song had a lot of soul in it and he wouldn't know what genre to put it in. Queen loved the lower register of his voice. Queen said she could help him with placing the falsetto in the right place in the song. Alt chose Queen.
Johnnie Kapua sang Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars-- He has a sweet voice. He has up in his higher register almost the entire time which is so hard to do. Queen thought he sounded beautiful. Adam said he didn't turn because there were some control issues, and it is such a massive song. Riley said I might be kicking myself down the line. Kelly said you sing with such soulfulness and I love the cadence to your voice. Kelly hit her "First In" button and said I am sorry if you wanted to work with her but I don't care, you're gonna be on my team.
Harmony McKee sang Gunpowder & Lead by Miranda Lambert-- So interesting, this time Adam and Riley turned basically at the same time. I thought she had a lot of grit and rasp in her voice. Harmony told the coaches it was her first time singing a country song. Adam was excited that she was not necessarily a country artist. Riley said he connected to her saying that she listened to Johnny Cash with her granddad cause that's what he did. He said Chris Stapleton is a great example of a country artist who injects blues into what he does as an artist. Harmony chose Riley.
Ethan Shobert sang The Great Divide by Noah Kahan-- no one turned
Lexi Stephens sang Die on This Hill by Sierra Spiro-- Well deserved four chair turn! That was an amazing vocal! She has the vocal chops, such a technically sound singer. Adam said I am gonna get scrappy. That was the best blind audition, you are gonna win the voice. You're the one. Queen loved where she went with the song and said she delivered. Riley said that was great, you're probably the best person that's come across the stage so far. He said I don't think I could coach you but I'd love to collaborate with you. Kelly said I have won four times and I can navigate a competition. Adam said he has also won four times. this one is to be continued but I think she should go with Adam. Maybe he will use his "First In" as hinted in the previews. She chose Adam!
Night 3:
Kyle Davis sang In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel-- Wow! He was a four chair turn. He is proof that you can pursue your dream at any age. Great voice and great song. Kelly said I have won this show four times and I swear. Adam said I finally get a chance to talk to you, top three songs I have ever heard. I have a feeling I'd be the best coach for you. Kyle chose Kelly.
Kenna Elpers sang White Horse by Chris Stapleton-- I feel like Kenna is someone who comes with a lot of potential but will need coaching. There were some nerves for sure. Queen turned right away and Riley waited til the end. Queen felt nerves but could hear it was going somewhere and she said it got better as it went on. Riley basically echoed what Queen said. Adam said I'm an idiot for not turning. Kenna chose Riley of course!
Morgan Lett sang I'm Goin' Down by Mary J Blige-- I loved her performance. She was amazing and truthfully, should have been a four chair turn. Riley said that was awesome, you blew me away with that. The crowd was into it. Queen said, pick me, let's do this. That's my song. I liked so many of the choices you made. Morgan chose Queen
Brooklyn Marie sang Traitor by Olivia Rodrigo-- Brooklyn is another one of those young performers who is so poised for her age. Queen and Kelly turned. It seems that they both love the young female artists. Adam said he regrets not turning. Queen said she felt a special quality right away. Kelly said she likes young singers because of their free spirit.
Brooklyn chose Kelly.
Conor Pederson sang Mercy by Shawn Mendes-- I love his voice, he's great. What is taking all these coaches so long to turn. I feel like he did a great job working the crowd too. No one turned! I am so disappointed.
Amanda Mikkel sang Moon River by Andy Williams-- That was ridiculous. That song is timeless and she just proved it. Wow! Her performance literally made me cry. That was so beautiful and she is in with a well deserved four chair turn. Adam turned first. He said I connected instantly with the soulfulness, song, and I just want to work with you. Kelly said where have you been? Your voice is special. Queen said you sound absolutely gorgeous, I loved all the places you traveled to, and I would love to be with you on this journey. Riley said that did not feel like an audition but a performance. Adam used his "First In" button. Amanda said she was going to pick Adam anyway and is so honored that he would use his "First In" button on her.
