On Wednesday November 12th, Carrie Underwood co-hosts Country Music's Biggest Night with Brad Paisley when they host the CMA's on ABC at 8 p.m. eastern time.

At the funeral of Jennifer Hudson's mom, brother, and nephew- Fantasia Barrino sang and held the hand of her former Idol castmate. Almost two weeks following the brutal killings, police have not named a killer; William Balfour, the brother in law of Hudson is still in police custody as a person of interest. On October 24th, 57 year old Darnell Donerson and 29 year old Jason Hudson were found shot dead in their Chicago apartment. Three days later, Julia Hudson's (Jennifer's sister) son 7 year old Julian King was found dead in a white SVU that police had been searching for. Police believe he was killed in that car. The motive for the murders still remains a mystery; however, if Balfour did commit the crimes police have said that he was having disagreements with his estranged wife Julia shortly before the killings took place (definite motive!).

Kellie Pickler was recently named Country Musics most beautiful woman by Country Weekly magazine. She also has a CMA nomination and will perform on the award show that her good friend Carrie Underwood will host next week. Pickler's former Idol castmate Bucky Covington is in the studio recording a new album.
Melinda Doolittle is preparing to release her debut album Coming Back to You in February 3rd 2009. Lakisha Jones who finished just behind Doolittle will release her debut album on February 17th 2009.

Melinda's CD, Coming Back To You, is available for pre-order on both Target.com and Amazon.com with a January 27 drop date. Melinda also wrote an update (Lots of things going on...) in her latest MySpace blog. Our Girl will also return to the Michael W. Smith"s Christmas Tour starting on November 29 in Youngstown, OH through Dec. 19 in Peoria, AZ. Lots going on, indeed! ;-)
