The Voice Season Six: Down to the Final Five
As far as tomorrow, I am hearing there will be a bottom three and the save will still happen. So two contestants will immediately advance and one will be saved.
First up was Kristen Merlin singing Gunpowder and Lead by Miranda Lambert-- I think Kristen has a great voice but this was not the right song for her. It wasn't believable because as Blake mentioned she was smiling throughout the song and that's not the idea. She needed to be angry and have some attitude and this just lacked that.
Josh Kaufman sang All of Me by John Legend-- This was a perfect choice because it fit Josh's style so well. The really low notes were right on and the falsetto was beautiful. He must be in the top three. Adam says he is getting his weekly serving of humble pie yet again.
Kat Perkins sang Chandelier by Sia-- I love Sia as an artist but I found this performance was all over the place in terms of pitch. It sounded like she was trying to hit the right notes but didn't. Notice that none of the coaches came out and said that they liked it.
Jake Worthington sang Good Ole Boys by Waylon Jennings-- I loved this performance, I think it was actually Jake's best yet. It was fun and Blake is on his feet; this is a proud moment.
Christina Grimmie sang Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap-- Not my fave Christina Grimmie performance. I felt the same way Usher did, disconnected. I hope this performance isn't her downfall.
After round 1, I think Josh, Jake, and Christina should advance.
Now for round 2--
Josh Kaufman sang Love Runs Out by OneRepublic-- Was it the perfect song for him to sing? Probably not. Can he sell just about anything with a voice like that? Absolutely.
Kat Perkins sang Let it Go from the movie Frozen-- I thought this was preposterous when I heard she was singing Let it Go but it was a pretty solid performance. I'm not the biggest Kat fan but she was on point throughout this performance.
Kristen Merlin sang Foolish Games by Jewel-- I wish Kristen had done two songs like this because the first did not fit her well enough. This performance was a revelation to me because for the first time I saw Kristen the storyteller. It's that same person that Shakira has been talking about.
Christina Grimmie sang Some Night by f.u.n.-- Huge Christina Grimmie fan but this was a bit of a mess. The song wasn't to her style, and she struggled to connect with the song. You could tell that she was really making an effort but it was a bit too labored.
Jake Worthington sang Heaven by Byran Adams-- Quite honestly, the best performance of the night and a personal best for Jake. I loved this and I could tell he was connected to the song. Blake says he is so proud of Jake and would share the stage with him for the rest of his life. He also brings up the fact that Jake was having some throat problems and pushed through it and didn't mention it or use it as an excuse.
I was right about the top three. Tune in to the finale when Jake, Josh, and Christina square off!

The Voice Season Six: Usher Picks His Final Three
Usher got it right. Completely agreed with his final three.
TJ Wilkins sang Tell Me Something Good by Rufus and Chaka Kahn-- I enjoyed this performance, TJ is someone I have liked watching since his blind audition. Shakira was impressed. Adam liked his ability to entertain people. Usher felt like he did a good job capturing the time of the song.
Melissa Jimenez sang Halo by Beyonce-- Not her best performance. There were lots of shaky spots in this. Shakira brought up the fact that she took a risk, and she did, I agree. Adam felt like there were some beautiful spots, which is true, but there were also some shaky areas as well.
Stevie Jo sang The Thrill is Gone by BB King-- Stevie Jo is an amazing talent, and this is someone I saw going to the end, but I think he ruined his chance by choosing this song. It wasn't right for him. The coaches say he nailed it, but I am not feeling this.
Bria Kelly sang Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones-- This was a great song choice for Bria, it really displayed the rasp in her voice. I think she made a mistake this time around having the guitar with her because it seemed to be a prop and did not enhance her performance. She took a risk though with the song and the arrangement and it did pay off. She made have just bought herself a spot in the final three for Team Usher. Adam said he wished Bria was on his team. Shakira loves her unique voice. Blake loves the soft side of Bria.
Josh Kaufman sang It Will Rain by Bruno Mars-- This was my favorite performance of the night, no surprise. Josh rises to the occasion every time. This was a great song choice for him. I liked how he filled it with so much passion and was also able to make the song his own. Adam is second guessing letting him go (biggest mistake of the season, Adam pitting Delvin and Josh against each other!), and despite that, he still hopes Josh makes it to the top. Blake tells Josh that he is one of Miranda's favorites. Shakira says Josh is one of the biggest talents there.
Usher chooses Josh, Bria, and TJ to move forward as his final three.

The Voice Season Six: Shakira and Adam pick their teams
Team Shakira:
Kristen Merlin sang Two Black Cadillacs by Carrie Underwood-- Unreal vocal, and a standing ovation from Adam and Shakira. Adam felt like she broke through and became a serious contender, you're at the top of your game, your best, and one of the best of the season. Blake said it was as flawless as a live performance can be. Usher said she is consistent and one of the best voices in the competition. I loved this, it was as good as Miss Carrie herself singing it. Adam and Usher told Shakira she has to keep Kristen.
Deja Hall sang Battlefield by Jordin Sparks-- I wanted the vocal to be a little more aggressive. She needed to dirty it up a little bit, she was trying to make it sound perfect and it lost some of its grit. Blake said she came out of her shell a bit. Usher said she has grown so much. Shakira felt like she was finally believing in herself.
Tess Boyer sang Human by Christina Perri-- Tess is nothing short of amazing; I hope she keeps going in this competition. She kind of reminds of someone like Will Champlin, just the way she keeps battling back, it's just so cool, and she has that type of work ethic where she refuses to give up, she keeps raising the bar. Adam said if you win this, I will look like a ding dong for being the only person on the coaching panel to not coach you. Adam called Blake and Usher total morons for letting her go. Usher called her superhuman for the way she holds notes, and talked about the realness to her voice. Blake said she took something hard and made it seem easy. Shakira called her a little miracle and even in her low voice, her voice filled the room completely.
Patrick Thomson sang Trouble by Ray LaMontagne-- This was my favorite performance by Patrick, and I do think he connected with the song. Usher said he didn't understand who Patrick was until now. Blake said Adam looks dumb now for letting him go. Shakira said you just had that moment where everyone sees what you're capable of; your voice was right on the money.
Dani Moz sang Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga-- Awesome stripped down performance. I really had the opportunity to hear Dani's vocals and her artistry. She was clearly connected to the song. Adam said emotions are good, it was really great, and Shakira is a loony if she doesn't keep you moving forward. Blake said you were completely connected to the song and you're a game changer. Usher said you're extremely passionate, and it wasn't flawless but your emotion brought me closer to you. Shakira said Dani made her listen to that Gaga song and she thinks if Gaga is watching, she'd be proud.
Prediction: Kristen, Tess, and Dani
Shakira's final three: wow, well my prediction was 100% right, and you don't have to believe it but I did choose the three moving forward-- Tess, Kristen, and Dani
Team Adam:
Delvin Choice sang Let's Stay Together by Al Green-- Delvin has that voice that is capable of just about anything. What he has is pure unbounded talent; I can't wait to see what the next round brings for Delvin. The runs and just the overall smooth quality to his voice is incredible. Blake said you have grown leaps and bounds. Usher said there is nothing you can't do. Shakira said it was delicious. Adam said you have solidified that we're the team to beat this year.
Jake Barker sang She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5-- I enjoyed Jake's performance, his falsetto is pretty awesome, and while Usher thinks he sounds a little like Justin Timberlake, I also think he sounds a little like Adam Levine. It's hard to believe he doesn't have a lot of singing experience. Blake said you have such a strong falsetto; I feel for Adam, he has some tough decisions coming up. Usher said your growth is impressive and I hope you make it through. Shakira said you have a vulnerable, sweet voice, and it worked. Adam said Jake is a natural.
Kat Perkins sang Open Arms by Journey-- I loved Kat's performance, I didn't love the song for her. It seemed a little bit 80's for me, It was like she didn't make the song modern. The coaches seemed to really love this performance though. Shakira said she made it seem effortless. Blake said open arms my ass, open lungs. He said it sounded like Kat's song, I have no criticism. Adam said those are really challenging songs, and there is nothing to criticize.
Morgan Wallen sang Stay by Florida Georgia Line-- Honest performance from Morgan! I liked the song choice. I wonder if he will make it through though only because there are so many strong singers on Adam's team. Unfortunately, I think he is going to be left behind. He does have a good country voice though, there is no doubt. Usher said he should be singing country music, and he is happy he is still in this. Blake said I hear a lot of Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots in his voice.
Christina Grimmie sang I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz-- I think Christina Grimmie was the best performance of the night. I think she is the shoe in for Team Adam. What an amazing vocal full of emotion and strength. Blake said Adam that is the best singer on your team. How does such a big voice come out of such a little person? Usher said you're like baby Celine Dion. Adam said Blake said I am little too, and Usher said, no, he said parts of you are little. Adam said I haven't had any complaints. Shakira said it was perfect, I loved that you sang a song that was sung by a male, and made it your own.
Prediction: Christina, Jake, and Delvin
Adam's final three: Christina, Delvin, and Kat
Kristen Merlin sang Two Black Cadillacs by Carrie Underwood-- Unreal vocal, and a standing ovation from Adam and Shakira. Adam felt like she broke through and became a serious contender, you're at the top of your game, your best, and one of the best of the season. Adam's final three: Christina, Delvin, and Kat
The Voice Season Six: Blake picks his final three
Audra McLaughlin sang Broken Wing by Martina McBride-- Audra started out slow, soft, and unsure. As her confidence picked up and the song went on, Audra's voice grew stronger and stronger. I actually loved this performance and I feel like this is going to be a hard choice for Blake. He said the same thing after hearing Audra sing.
Ryan Whyte Maloney sang Second Chance by Shinedown-- This was a strong performance. Ryan has a high vocal range for a guy, and he has tons of control considering this. He also picked a tough song so he gets extra points for that. Usher and Shakira both thought that Ryan nailed this performance. Blake seemed to like Ryan, but at the same time, he seemed nervous about whether or not he would advance him.
Madilyn Paige sang Clarity by Zedd feat. Foxes-- Madilyn's performance was the weakest out of the bunch. It's too bad cause she is talented, but she is also young and not as developed as some of the other contestants. Madilyn also picked a tough song, it was bigger than her, and there were lots of pitch issues in this performance. Adam was right on when he told Madilyn that she needed to let go more.
Jake Worthington sang Anywhere With You by Barefoot Blue Jean Night-- Jake may not have the best voice, but his performance skills have grown immensely. His voice isn't a slouch either, he has a solid vocal. I also feel like Blake really relates to Jake being that he is a country artist. Shakira called him a star, and Adam was excited to see how far he has come, these are both very true comments.
Sisaundra Lewis sang New York State of Mind by Billy Joel-- Sisaundra is someone who I look forward to seeing every week. I love how she performed this song, every note and run was total perfection, and I think she is a favorite to win this whole competition this year. She shut this down, she's the only person in my opinion who is a shoe in for this final three.
Totally forgot to write the results: Sisaundra, Audra, and Jake
Ryan and Madilyn's journey ends here....
I think ultimately Blake made the right choices.

The Voice Season Six: The Second Weeks of Battles Roll On
Team Adam: Austin Ellis vs. Josh Kaufman sang Happy By Pharrell-- Both of these guys brought their "a" game. They were so tight vocally and their charm was able to win over the entire audience, and they had a camaraderie that was obvious on stage. Blake thought there was so much energy on stage. He felt Adam was solid, and he couldn't keep up with Josh. Usher said he would give it to Josh but says Austin has talent. Shakira called it one of the best battles, and thought they were both great singers and won over the audience. Adam said he was proud of both of them and they are equally good singers.
Who should win? Josh but Austin should get a steal
Adam chose Josh
(Usher why didn't you steal Austin?)
Team Blake: Alaska & Madi vs. Audra McLaughlin sang When Will I Be Loved by Linda Ronstadt-- Audra was cracking a lot in the higher notes and in the breaks; it was a little wobbly. I enjoyed the harmonies of the duo and I would choose them. Adam said he was upset cause he had to watch that performance and he has no steal left. He said he would have picked whoever didn't get picked. Usher and Shakira both seemed indifferent, and foolishly didn't use their steal. Adam told Usher he was a fool for not picking them. He said he would have picked Audra had Blake not picked her (whatevs, you wouldn't have).
Who should win? Alaska & Madi
Blake chose Audra
Team Shakira: Deja Hall vs. Music Box sang Eternal Flame by The Bangles-- Overall, I didn't think this song suited these ladies, but I would tend to go with Deja because she is so young and therefore has so much potential. Adam felt similarly. Blake said Deja has power but Music Box stands out and has a different sound than most. Usher said Deja is far beyond her age in voice, and said both of them will go far. Shakira called Music Box's tone, but felt she needed to focus on being vulnerable. She said Deja displayed power.
Who should win? Deja
Shakira chose Deja.... Usher stole Music Box (really Usher?, the steals have been kind of weird this season)
Team Usher: Madilyn Paige vs. Tanner James sang Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift-- I liked both of them, they were so good. They were believable, I believed that they were in love during that performance. It was also pure and innocent not only in portrayal but in voice. Adam said it was cute overload and it was so romantic, sweet, and sincere. Blake found both of them adorable. Usher called Tanner a heartthrob, and he felt Madilyn arrived. You supported each other but took the liberty to go outside your comfort zones and you let your personalities come out.
Who should win? I can't choose I genuinely liked both of them.
Usher chose Madilyn
Team Adam: Dawn & Hawkes vs. Josh Murley sang Stuck in the Middle with You by Steelers Wheel-- I loved it, it sounded like they were having a jam session. It was cool, but it was tough to hear each of them as individuals, I would find it difficult to choose someone. Usher was glued to the performance, so much so that he was waiting for their individuality to come out. Shakira said this group made her feel like having a beer. She called it a feel good performance.
Who should win? Unsure, but I loved Dawn & Hawkes' blind audition so much, everything they do seems magical.
Adam chose Dawn & Hawkes.... at the very last second as Josh was walking out Shakira stole him
Team Usher: Bria Kelly vs. Tess Boyer sang Take Another Piece of My Heart by Janis Joplin-- This was a strong battle from both of these ladies. I knew that Bria was going to pull through but to have Tess rise to the occasion was amazing. Tess deserves to get a steal. Adam said he is terrified of Team Usher because of Bria, she was his big loss. He did say that he wasn't a fan of Tess before but he is now. Blake felt that Tess took this battle. Usher said something special happened with Tess tonight.
Who should win? Bria
Usher chose Bria, and Blake stole Tess
Cannot wait until the last night of Battles tomorrow! Until then........
Who should win? Josh but Austin should get a steal
Adam chose Josh
(Usher why didn't you steal Austin?)

The Voice Season Six: The Battles Begin!
Team Usher: Biff Gore vs. TJ Wilkins sang Ain't Too Proud To Beg by The Temptations-- I like both of these contestants very much. This was like a case of old school R&B verse new school R&B. Even the way they presented themselves on stage kept to that old vs. new mentality.
Who should win? They both sound great, hard for me to choose one.
Usher chose TJ and Blake stole Biff
Team Blake: Jake Worthington vs. Lexi Luca sang It Goes Like This by Thomas Rhett-- I preferred Jake in this. I was really attracted to his tone. I thought the song choice was great, it did a good job of suiting both voices. Usher loves Jake's confidence. Adam said they both have big voices. Adam essentially chose Jake and said that his voice coupled with Blake's partnership and what he does could take them to the end. He thinks Jake could win this thing.
Who should win? Jake
Blake chose Jake
Team Shakira: Dani Moz vs. Deshawn Washington sang My Kind of Love by Emeli Sande-- Dani is wicked wobbly and she's doing it throughout the whole performance. She was sliding into notes too rather than hitting them head on, and it sounded a little sloppy. Deshawn was clear and soulful. His voice was soaring. I loved them performing together, they seemed to play off each other. Adam couldn't pick one. Blake said Deshawn surprised the heck out of him on this performance. Usher said Dani understand emotional need and told Deshawn that big things come in small packages and he would choose him. Shakira regretted pitting them against each other.
Who should win? Hands down Deshawn for me.
Shakira chose Dani........ Shick shack (that's my nickname for Shakira....) you made a huge mistake.
Why didn't Usher choose Deshawn, he seemed passionate about him
Team Adam: Kat Perkins vs. Patrick Thomas sang Whenever I Call You Friend by Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks-- I am sure Patrick is a nice guy but I was slightly bored by his performance, it was too 80s, and not the good part of it. Kat was more interesting to watch. Something happened in the middle of the performance and Patrick sounded clearly off key, and it was just rough.
Who should win? Kat all the way.
Adam chose Kat, and Shakira (are you for real Shakira?) stole Patrick
Team Blake: Paula Deanda vs. Sisaundra Lewis sang Do What You Want by Lady Gaga-- Paula needs to work on her lower register. At times Paula is sounding like Sisaundra's back up singer. Towards the end Paula found her footing in this, her falsetto was great. Sisaundra's voice was strong throughout. Usher thought Paula had some pitch issues, and would have to give it to Sisaundra. Shakira said Sisaundra's high note did it. Blake appreciated both ladies.
Who Should Win? I love Paula but Sisaundra outsang her so Sisaundra deserves to win this. Some should have stolen Paula (a-hem Shakira, this would have been where to steal.... I also think Usher could have helped Paula a lot).
Blake chose Sisaundra
Team Usher: Jake Barker vs. Stevie Jo sang Higher Love by Steve Winwood-- These two are nicely matched. I am unsure who I would pick, I like different things about both of them. Shakira commented on Jake's falsetto, it was really good. Adam said whoever doesn't make it is going to be on my team. Adam said he doesn't have to help Usher because they are competing against each other. Blake said it was one of the most evenly matched battles. Usher said this has been his hardest choice since he started.
Who should win? both
Usher chose Stevie and Adam stole Jake

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Six ... The Last Night of Blinds
Uneventful final night of blind auditions....
There was a 4 chair turn that shouldn't have been. The last guy was the best, and everyone else was just okay.
**4 Chair Turn** Kaleigh Glanton sang Have You Ever Seen the Rain by Creedence Clearwater Revival-- Completely unsure of why this was a four chair turn. In the end, Kaleigh goes with Team Blake. With a mediocre voice, she made a good choice for coach. I will look to be impressed in the battle rounds.
Kaleigh chose Blake and his team is complete
Brittnee Camelle sang Skyscraper by Demi Lovato-- I actually liked Brittnee. I think she has a strong voice, and I love her upper register. Usher turned pretty quickly, and Shakira pulled an Usher and waited til the last minute to turn. I can't believe Usher called her on it when he does it all the time. He was clearly taken by Brittnee; there was a look in his eye different from that of when he sees and hears other contestants. Blake and Adam encourage her to pick Shakira, and Brit preaches woman power, but in the end picks Usher.
Brittnee chose Usher and his team is complete
Lindsay Bruce sang Even if it Breaks Your Heart by Eli Young Band-- Adam and Shakira both turn for Lindsay but she ends up picking Shakira because she's a country singer, and Miranda Lambert is going to help out team Shakira.
Lindsay chose Shakira and her team is complete.
Caleb Elder sang Groove Me by King Floyd-- They saved the best for last tonight. I love Caleb's quirky nature. This is someone who actually deserved a four chair turn but didn't have the possibility of receiving one since Adam was the only coach with a spot to fill. This was totally Adam's gain because Caleb probably has more potential than any other contestant on this last night of blind auditions.
Adam gained Caleb

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Four
The Blind Auditions continue on....
Megan Ruger sang Just Like a Pill by Pink--This was one of those performances that grew stronger as she sang. By the end I was like, why hasn't anyone turned around yet? When she hit the chorus, she hit her stride. There's definitely an edge to her voice so Pink's song really suited her. Blake and Usher looked at each other and turned at the end. Blake says he wants to win; Usher feels he could help her work on her weaknesses. He wants to be the mentor who brings out the best in her. She asks who loves 80's rock more, and Blake says it's him. I was a little surprised that...
Megan chose Blake
Morgan Wallen sang Collide by Howie Day-- I love his voice, and I actually like this better than the original. Sorry Howie Day, and where are you? What I like the most is how he ended the song, amazing! Morgan's voice has a great rasp to it like Michael Bolton. Shakira turned quickly, almost right after he started singing. Usher turned a little later in the game. Shakira says she turned because there isn't another voice like his on radio, and she likes the grit in his voice. Usher believes he has a lot of potential and wants to coach him. I thought Morgan would go with Shakira.
Morgan chose Usher
James Cavern sang Let's Get It On by Marvin Gaye, no one turned.
Montage....
Dani Moz sang I Need Your Love, and she goes to Shakira
Music Box sang You Gotta Be by Desiree, and she goes to Shakira
Lexi Luca sang Wasting All These Tears on You by Casadee Pope, and she goes to Blake
Emily B. sang Wicked Games by Chris Isaak-- I love Emily's voice, she has a breathy quality to her voice. The song fit her like a glove with the changes she made to it. The runs were HOT. I am actually surprised that Adam didn't turn around and make this a four chair turn. Adam admitted he was stupid for not turning around..... well done Adam! Blake thinks her falsetto is strong and she nailed it. Emily said as long as she can get some soul into it, she's happy. Usher said he knows about soul and Blake said he has one. Shakira liked that she changed the arrangement.
Emily chose Shakira
Stevie Jo sang There Goes My Baby by Usher-- So funny how Blake and Adam were debating whether or not to push the button, but Adam agreed he was going to go with Usher. There's no doubt that Stevie has no problem using his falsetto. I can't wait to hear him sing other songs. I hope every performance is as good as or better than that one. The judges thought he was black, but he's actually a white man from Texas, lol. Usher said he made a great song choice, and Shakira loved how he worked his way through the high notes and called his falsetto perfect.
People who didn't make it....
Josh McMillan, Melany Watson, and Branden Mendoza
**4 Chair Turn** Audra McLaughlin sang Angel from Montgomery by Bonnie Raitt-- I am not sure that I am as enthusiastic about her as the judges are. I think I will make my determination when I hear her sing a different song. Adam exclaimed that he turned around way before anyone else, and Blake said who gives a crap. Shakira said she is the one that they've been waiting for, it has raspyness, sweetness, and power. Adam said she is isn't wearing cowboy boots so she has a chance. Blake played the wife card and said that Miranda used to sing that song all the time. Blake said when she was singing fireworks went off in his head and spelled out team Blake. Blake is so funny.

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night One
**4 Chair Turn** Christina Grimmie sang Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus-- I absolutely loved Christina's take on this song, it was different than the original. What was great about it was how powerful her vocals were as the song built and how she went from loud to soft with such control. This is someone I would watch throughout. Adam praised her comfort level on the stage. Shakira said Adam is tired. Usher said he would understand who she is as an artist and how to unlock her full potential. Blake said he just wants to see her win this show. Christina says she loves all of them but ...
Christina chose Adam
TJ Wilkins sang Bennie and the Jets by Elton John-- The three guys turned around, and Shakira should have joined in because TJ has an awesome voice and I loved the way that he sang this. He took Bennie and the Jets and turned it into an even more soulful version of the song. His range was pretty impressive too; he should go far! Adam said he has a unique flair because it was an Elton John song but an R&B performance. Usher thought his creativity is what helps to define him as an artist. Blake joked with him and said his full voice when he goes for high notes in unbelievable. Shakira said mix it up, be adventurous, go with Blake.
TJ chose Usher
Kristen Merlin sang Something More by Sugarland -- An excited Adam and fist pumping Shakira turned around for Kristen. There is something about her voice that's quite different, I just don't know that her voice impressed me in the way that other contestants have. Adam liked the way that she dipped in and out of notes. Blake said he didn't hit his button because she has a fast vibratto and Blake feels Shakira could help her control that. Shakira said if Kristen picks her she would call Miranda to have Miranda coach her to be Kristen's coach.
Kristen chose Shakira
Tanner Linford sang Stay by Rihanna-- No one turned. I actually really liked this kid, at 16, for him to be able to go on stage and sing like that with so much confidence. I wish I had that quality. Adam told him to work on feeling and living the song. Usher said that he hopes Tanner works on his voice and comes back, and he said he would. I am definitely hoping to see him again. Blake said Tanner already has a great voice and something that separates him from others. Adam said don't change when the ladies start falling all over you.
**4 Chair Turn** Biff Gore sang A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke-- Biff is so passionate about music and you can tell that from his performance. Adam was right with what he said, some things are just classic, and you don't want to mess with it, you just want to be a part of it. Shakira asked if she could be his date at the Grammy's when they win this. Usher said individuality is what makes you stand out from the rest. Blake said you just took me to church.
Biff chose Usher (I thought he was going to pick Blake)
Dawn & Hawkes sang I've Just Seen a Face by The Beatles-- I loved this duo so much. They remind me of Alex and Sierra who just won X Factor. There's something about them that is so pure, genuine, and organic. This comes so naturally to them, and I feel like they are going to be in this competition for a while. Adam and Shakira turned. Adam said based on his taste and his roots that was his favorite performance he's ever seen on The Voice. He said that in some way he needs to be a part of their journey. Shakira agreed with Adam and felt embraced by them and captivated by their performance. Usher and Blake threw their support to Shakira but nevertheless....
Dawn & Hawkes chose Adam (Dawn was blown away by Adam's heartfelt speech)
Leo Gallo sang Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke-- Wow, I thought he was entertaining and I actually liked his voice, I am disappointed that the judges didn't turn around, it sure seemed like they were toying with the idea. His range was dope. Blake asked Leo and Adam if they wanted to exchange numbers. Leo said he wanted to dance with one of the judges and said he heard that Blake has moves. Leo then broke out into a dance and the judges were impressed. Adam asked him to come back and hold back on the dancing and focus on his voice.
Jeremy Briggs sang Bad Company by Bad Company-- I liked Jeremy and I think he has a powerful rock voice, but it's a little bit dated, very 80's. Blake and Shakira turned. Blake loved the way he sang through that first verse, it was smooth and had power. Shakira said she is hungry for success, Blake said, "we'll fix you a sandwich". She emphasized how much she wants to win.
Jeremy chose Shakira
Jake Worthington sang Don't Close Your Eyes by Keith Whitley-- He has improved so much. I can't even believe the difference from one year to the next. I loved the fullness and the feeling in his voice; it was touching. Adam turned, then Blake and finally Shakira (who Blake told to turn back around). Adam said I know you were waiting for Blake to turn around, but I did not wait for Blake to turn around. Adam called his performance perfect and Shakira agreed, and Jake said, you're perfect Shakira. Blake said he sang a true country song and asked him if he wanted to start his journey into country music with Adam. Jake said, Adam I appreciate you fighting for me, and my aunt thinks you're the sexiest thing on Earth, but I have to go with Blake.
Jake chose Blake
Karina Mia sang Beneath Your Beautiful by Emeli Sande and Labrinth-- No one turned for her. I agree with Usher, I was waiting for a little more from her, but I agree with Blake's thoughts as well. Blake thought her middle range was spectacular and loved her vibrato.
**4 Chair Turn** Bria Kelly sang Steamroller Blues by James Taylor-- Bria was electrifying, it was almost impossible to believe that that voice came out of her. At 17, to have that level of maturity is incredible. Adam and Blake turned quickly, followed by Shakira, and Usher was the last to turn. Bria had said that her preference for a coach was Adam, but who knows if that will hold true. Adam said I can't believe that was you, and Bria expressed that she feels like she was born in the wrong generation. Usher said she was born in the right generation and it's brought them together.... awwww..... Bria said she used to play country and Blake called her a stud. Shakira said Bria reminds her or herself, and she has an energy that takes over the room. Blake said I am your fan no matter what. Usher tried to bribe her with a Grammy, and Adam joked that if you're Usher you can turn your Grammy's into shoes. I like Usher, but I feel like it was lame that he brought out his Grammy. Like Blake said, what does his Grammy have to do with her?
Bria chose Usher (watch another coach snatch her up after he dumps her, bets?)
Way too many people impressed me on this show.
Christina chose Adam

The Voice Blind Auditions Season Six: Night Two
Night two of the blind auditions Season 6 continues.... I have put videos for my favorites of the night.
**4 Chair Turn** Delvin Choice sang A Song for You by Donny Hathaway-- Blake, Adam, and Shakira turned around immediately. Usher waited until absolutely the last minute to turn around, and I am sure glad he did. Delvin deserved a four chair turn. Adam and Shakira actually stood up during his performance. Delvin's voice is so full and rich and amazing, and I am hoping that he picks Adam cause Adam steered him in the right direction back in season five when he told him that he had to pick a different song, at the time he picked Closer by Neyo.
Delvin chooses Adam
Madilyn Paige sang Titanium by David Guetta and Sia-- Usher turns, then Shakira. Madilyn's voice is so pure but so big, and she's only 16. Madilyn said she picked Usher because he would help her get to where she needs to be and he would stand by her all the way.
Madilyn chooses Usher
Noah Lis sang Me and Mrs. Jones-- I actually thought no one was going to turn around, but Adam and Blake turned around at the last minute. Adam and Blake battled it out and where Adam thought Noah needed to refine his vocals, Blake thought he needed to dirty it up a little bit. Blake also discussed his love for crooners and Dean Martin. I am with Blake on this, Noah was trying to make the performance too perfect.
Noah chooses Blake
Keith Shuskie sang Somewhere Only We Know by Keane-- No one turned around. I liked Keith's personality, but the vocals were a little bit sloppy. Usher asked him who his musical influences are and he cited Queen. You could hear that in his vocal, and I hope he does come back like Usher suggested.
Deja Hall sang True Colors by Cyndi Lauper-- Blake and Shakira turned at the same time near the beginning and Usher turned at the end. She's only 16! I definitely thought she was older. She has great control in her voice. Blake said she could win this whole show, but not with Usher or Shakira. Blake also exclaims that he wants to adopt Deja. Usher said she was courageous for choosing that song. Despite all that.....
Deja chooses Shakira
**4 Chair Turn** Cary Laine sang Better Dig Two by The Band Perry-- I loved Cary; the grit in her voice is simply awesome. The song suited her so well too, it wasn't just about her vocals, but her attitude. Adam turned for her first and it was almost immediately, followed by Blake and Shakira, and lastly Usher. She deserved the four chair turn. Adam leads her to his chair and has her sit down. The judges proceed to fight over her. I think Usher is convinced she is going to choose Blake and therefore he kind of gives up, but Adam doesn't. Shakira barely even fights for her. Her son thinks she is going to choose Blake. Am I the only person who thinks she is going to choose Adam?
Cary chooses Adam

The Voice Season 4: Battles Better Than Ever
Team Usher: Jessica Childress vs. Vedo sang Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno Mars-- I loved both of them so much; they had great singing chemistry that was full of emotion. I hate that they were up against one another. Adam said that he wants to be friends with Jessica. Adam was impressed with Vedo, and said that their connection was great and it made him happy. Blake said they both lit up the room with their connection, and there is no right or wrong decision here. Usher felt that they supported one another in this performance, and believes everyone made a connection with these two.
Usher moves forward with Vedo...... I'm shocked that no one stole Jessica, but love Vedo!
Team Shakira: Luke Edgemon vs. Monique Abbadie sang You and I by Lady Gaga-- Love the intensity that Monique possesses and love Luke's passion, both of them were unbelievable. Blake and Adam both felt like Luke won the battle. Usher thinks Luke has a career as a performer, and he felt that Luke and Monique together complimented one another. Shakira thinks that Monique sounds like a pro already. In a strategic move, Shakira chose Monique being that the other coaches were so excited about Luke. Blake and Usher both pushed their buttons to try and steal Luke. Luke opted to be strategic as well and chose Blake.
Shakira moves forward with Monique
Blake stole Luke
Team Blake: Jacqui Sandell vs. Savannah Berry sang Little White Church by Little Big Town-- Adam remains upset that he lost Savannah to Blake. He loved their victory jump at the end. Usher like the energy and the fun they had with their performance. He said he couldn't pick one over the other. Shakira found Jacqui was a little uncomfortable, and she loved Savannah's inflections. Blake chooses Savannah, but Jacqui says she has been completely inspired by the experience and says that it's changed her. I actually did like Savannah better in this case; I think ultimately, she has more potential. The fact that she's so young also says so much about her.
Blake moves forward with Savannah
Team Shakira: C. Perkins vs. Kris Thomas sang It Will Rain by Bruno Mars-- I wasn't digging the arrangement of this song, but I think both of them have great voices. I love Kris' voice, but I don't necessarily think he out enough emotion into it. Blake loved C's rasp, and Kris' verbrato. Usher thinks that they both need more work, and he feels that they would be able to help them. Shakira felt that they held back; completely agree, they needed to leave it all out there. She felt that C. had grown so much, and she thought that the guys who dropped Kris from his record deal were big jerks. Usher felt that C. has so much potential that has yet to be seen; I think it's true for both guys. Just as C. was about to leave and he was standing in front of Usher, Usher came in with the steal.
Shakira moves forward with Kris
Usher stole C.
Team Adam: Midas Whale vs. Patrick Dodd sang Burnin' Love by Elvis Presley-- In rehearsals, Patrick loved when Adam introduced a more blue grass feel to the song. Usher thinks both are equally talented. Blake and Shakira love the rasp in Patrick's voice. Shakira loves how Midas Whale enjoys their performances. Adam thinks Midas Whale is one of the most charismatic duos he's ever seen perform, and calls Patrick an exquisite singer. Adam made a tough choice, and picked Midas Whale over Patrick Dodd but vowed to help all of them. I must say that I agree with Adam when he said this was the toughest choice, I could see that. Neither artist did anything wrong.
Adam moves forward with Midas Whale
Team Usher: Orlando Dixon vs. Ryan Innes sang Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers-- These two guys sounded great together, their voices blended well. I have to say, overall, I am really impressed with how Usher has prepped all his battles. I don't think anyone has been on par or under par, they've all been phenomenal. Shakira said she doesn't know who to pick. Adam called Orlando a revelation. Blake called Ryan a guy's guy. Usher said Orlando moved the room, and Ryan had so much conviction, even just singing one simple note. Usher actually went with Ryan, I am a little surprised; Usher thought he was powerful and had depth. Adam stole Orlando and said he's an exceptional talent and needs to be here. This battle had a happy ending.
Usher moves forward with Ryan
Adam stole Orlando
Tomorrow night is the last night of battles!
Usher moves forward with Vedo...... I'm shocked that no one stole Jessica, but love Vedo!

The Voice Blind Auditions: Season 4, Night 6
The final night of blind auditions; how exciting! I am definitely ready to see what the final teams look like, and to pick my fave team. I want to evaluate who I think has the best chance of winning the show this year. Do Blake and Adam have the experience to make it to the finals? Are Usher and Shakira hungry enough to win?
Mark Lennon sang Come Together by The Beatles-- I thought Mark sounded great and I don't think that the judges did the right thing by not turning around. They thought he sounded too young and too clean.
Jacqui Sandell sang Dreams by Fleetwood Mac-- I loved her voice, it was haunting and magical. She has a lot of depth in her voice. Blake turned first, quickly followed by Usher. Blake loved her quick vibrato and sexy sound. Usher said he turned because he wanted to hear more and see more. Jacqui picked Blake which filled his team.
Team Blake!
Amber Carrington sang Good Girl by Carrie Underwood-- Adam was the only one who turned around! Shocking! I really liked this girl, I loved the grit in her voice. Blake said he was frustrated because he didn't get to turn around. Adam said he loves that she's so good, and now his team is full.
Team Adam!
Dustin Hatzenbuhler sang Haven't Met You Yet by Michael Buble-- Adam said it sounded like a show tune and it didn't swing like the original. Shakira urged him to come back and Adam echoed that. None of the judges turned, he had a good voice, but the judges were right, something about it seemed off.
Luke Edgemon sang I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt-- I definitely hear Luke's gospel and church influenced voice in there, and he sounds awesome. He has a great sound, it's very marketable. Shakira and Usher both turned; I think Adam and Blake would have turned if they could. Shakira thinks Luke's voice is phenomenal, and luckily, he ends up picking her making her team full.
Team Shakira!
Jessica Childress sang Marry You by -- Jessica was just so full of joy when she sang. I loved her, and as Adam said, I wanted to marry her. She was shocked when she found out that the other judges couldn't turn their chairs because their teams were full, but she was so happy to be on Team Usher.
Team Usher!

The Voice Blind Auditions: Season 4, Night 4
First up on night four; oh this is so exciting!
Audrey Karrasch sang Price Tag by Jessie J.-- Blake turns around right away; Usher turns around much to Blake's dismay. Blake wants to be the first to say something and Adam thinks he can predict what Blake will say, and Audrey says why do you care? You didn't even turn around. Woah! She put Adam in his place, lol. Audrey asks Usher what made him turn around and he doesn't even answer the question and she says, let's do this Usher. I pick Usher. I think what I like about Audrey more than her voice is her personality.
Team Usher
Brandon Roush sang With a Little Help from my Friends-- Brandon had a great rocker voice, especially being that he was only 19 years of age. Shakira ended up being the only one that turned around, but I think she is the perfect fit for him. He told Shakira that she wouldn't be sorry for choosing him.
Team Shakira
Betsy Barta sang Set Fire to the Rain by Adele-- Blake said she did a great off, but she bit off a lot when she chose Adele. No one turned around. Adam reassured her and told her to come back.
Patrick Dodd sang Walking in Memphis-- Usher said he had such character in his voice, even though only Shakira and Adam were the only ones to turn around. Shakira loved the soul in his voice and the effortlessness of it. Shakira said she'd put all her passion and focus on him. Adam envied the density, rasp, and soul in his voice. Adam said he loved him and wants him to be on his team. At first, I thought, nothing special, and then I heard the range and rasp in her voice, and I was like this guy is special. He really blows me away with this passion that he has for music, it's so full and genuine. Patrick ended up picking Adam.
Team Adam
Trevor Davis sang Keep Your Head Up by Andy Grammer --Team Blake
C. Perkins sang All Because of You by Neyo-- Team Shakira
Agina Alvarez sang Beautiful Liar by Shakira Team Adam
Orlando Dixon sang So Sick by Neyo-- Orlando has a good voice; he needs some refining, but I think he has the potential to be really good. Orlando says he grew up listening to Usher and admires his work. Usher liked the tone of his voice and said he will push him more. He called him a diamond in the rough and said he wants to prepare him to be a winner.
Team Usher
Savannah Berry sang Safe and Sound by Taylor Swift-- Adam turned right away, then Shakira, then Blake. Usher is the only one that didn't turn which I am surprised about because she deserved a four chair turn. He was smiling the whole time which surprises me even more. Adam said I turned around way before these other guys. Shakira said these two have been here for three seasons, they're jaded. Shakira said she can win this. Adam said go with who believed first. Blake says he and Miranda could adopt her (she said Miranda was one of her musical influences). She chose Blake!
Team Blake
Audrey Karrasch sang Price Tag by Jessie J.-- Blake turns around right away; Usher turns around much to Blake's dismay. Blake wants to be the first to say something and Adam thinks he can predict what Blake will say, and Audrey says why do you care? You didn't even turn around. Woah! She put Adam in his place, lol. The Voice Blind Auditions: Season 4, Night 2
Night two of the blind auditions continue........
Tawnya Reynolds sang Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys by Waylon Jennings-- Shakira was really cute and pulled out an English to country dictionary. Adam loved her classic country sound.Usher thought she sounded like Dolly and said let's take a youthful voice and combine it with a classic sound. Ultimately, Blake's argument for Tawnya to pick Usher didn't work and he went with Shakira
Team Shakira
Josiah Hawley sang Sunday Morning By Maroon 5 -- Josiah has a great voice; I question how far he will get because he is trying to do such a stylized vocal. At the same time, I don't find there are a lot of special things about his voice, it's very easy to copy. Adam was flattered that Josiah chose a Maroon 5 song. Blake thought his performance was bad-ass. Usher feels that he can help him win. Adam tried to lure him in by saying, you picked my song. Shakira didn't turn around.
Team Usher
Midas Whale sang Fulsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash-- These guys were awesome! I loved their sound, it was different but easy to listen to. Shakira was right, their voices blended so well. Blake tried to somehow tie them to country music but he couldn't do it. Shakira loved how they harmonized and loved listening to them, and both members of the group spoke perfect Spanish. Usher feels that he would be able to do so much with their talent, and he says he was the first to turn around. Adam loves them and feels that they are so distinct. This definitely deserved a four judge turn! They chose Adam, and he found in them his first duo ever. A little bit of background, one of the guys in this group, Jon Peter Lewis was a finalist on American Idol Season 3.
Team Adam
Not Chosen
Abraham McDonald sang Best Thing I Never Had by Beyonce-- Abraham is a sweet young man, but this performance was shaky at best, and unfortunately, none of the judges turned around.
Cathia-- This was a little bit odd for me because I didn't think her voice was as wonderful as the judges thought it was. The other thing you always wonder when a contestant sings a specialized song like this is can they sing anything just as well? Usher, Shakira, and Blake turn for her. Shakira makes an airtight argument; she says Usher is curious about the Latin market and he and Blake would make her a star in the U.S., but Shakira believes that she can make Cathia global. As a result, Cathia chooses her idol: Shakira
Team Shakira
Sarah Simmons sang One of Us by Joan Osborne-- This girl is awesome; I love the dynamics in her voice and the way she phrases. I believe Adam when he says she could win the show. All four coaches turned around: first Adam, then Shakira, Blake and Usher. Adam said 150%, you can win this show, and I only fight for people who I really want to have on my team. Blake said she is one of the top three singers he has ever heard audition on The Voice. Shakira said she loves the softness in her voice and the raspy, dirty part of her voice. Usher said she sang with such conviction. At the end, Sarah decided to go with Adam.
Team Adam
Tawnya Reynolds sang Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys by Waylon Jennings-- Shakira was really cute and pulled out an English to country dictionary. The Voice Blind Auditions: Season 4, Night 1
Night one of Season 4 of The Voice proved to me that the show is alive, well, and kicking. I love the chemistry between new judges Usher and Shakira with returning judges Adam and Blake. They all seem to get along well, and it also seems like they are all looking to build specific and unique teams which will give opportunity to singers with different styles.
First up.........
The Morgan Twins sang Fallin' by Alicia Keys-- I did not love this, I don't really get why everyone turned around. Usher said if you choose me, it will be a journey for the first time, and we'll win together. Despite all the great pitches by the coaches, the ladies chose Blake.
Team Blake
Jess Kellner sang I Can't Help Falling in Love with You by Elvis Presley-- This young lady was very different, and I liked her indie folk voice. I think Usher got her for his team when he said, come rock with me. Shakira was disappointed that Jess wasn't all in on her "girl power" pitch.
Team Usher
Mark Andrew sang Knockin' on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan-- This was a battle between Adam and Shakira. I actually agree with Adam, I didn't care for the song choice and his vibrato sounded a little bit weird. Shakira is definitely more passionate about Mark so she should get him, and she does.
Team Shakira
Not Chosen:
Janetza Miranda sang Titanium by Sia-- I think the song is way too high for her and it ends up sounding like she is screaming throughout. She also doesn't have a lot of control in her voice. Blake found it overly dramatic and told her to come back as did Adam. Adam actually went up and gave her a hug, what a sweetie.
Danielle Bradbery sang Mean by Taylor Swift-- Danielle is only 16, and her control is awesome. She has a great tone in her voice, with some more work, she could be great. All three men turn around and Shakira regrets not turning around, she says-- I feel stupid for not turning my chair around, and Usher says I would feel stupid too. Blake doesn't even really need to pitch himself because Danielle wants to be a country artist and he's a country singer. Blake doesn't let Usher live it down when he calls Nashville a state.
Team Blake
Vedo sang Boyfriend by Justin Bieber-- Vedo's story is so sad, his family was homeless for a while and his mom has stage four lung cancer. He cries when he thinks about losing her. Vedo has a great voice and I think he actually sings the song better than Bieber. His voice really soars, and his personality is all there too. None of the other judges dare turn around as Usher is the best choice for him.
Team Usher
Christian Porter sang I'm Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO-- Christian is a cover singer in a bar and this blues version of the song is borrowed from a YouTube artist. Shakira thinks it's sexy and was first to turn around, then Blake, then Usher who says that the response form the ladies spoke to him. Christian chooses Blake
Team Blake
Not Chosen
Leah Lewis sang Blown Away by Carrie Underwood-- Her voice is not bad, but it doesn't soar in that spot where other voices do. Blake said her voice is a little bit underdeveloped. Usher and Adam both said she was so close and Adam urged her to come back.
Kris Thomas sang Saving All My Love for You by Whitney Houston-- Kris believes The Voice is his second chance. He had a record deal, lost it, went into depression, and became an alcoholic. Shakira is the only one who turned around, and the guys are all shocked when they turn around and find that Kris is a guy! His control and falsetto is just unreal; Shakira totally played it cool.
Team Shakira
Not Chosen
James Irwin sang The Man Who Can't be Moved by the Script-- James' story is pretty sad and he's a union carpenter, got married, his wife lost twins. He seems like a nice guy but there's nothing special about this. James also doesn't show his personality.
Judith Hill sang What a Girl Wants by Christina Aguilera--Judith was going to tour with Michael Jackson on his last tour and actually sang Heal the World at his funeral. The judges all turn around and the judges are all standing. Adam says you're the first person to come on this show and do a Christina Aguilera song as well as Christina Aguilera. Adam vows to light himself on fire for her. Adam says the phrasing is all hers, and he's running for president. Usher says he is looking for the first lady. Blake wants Judith to shine like she can. Shakira believes with her help Judith can win The Voice. She chooses Adam and he runs up and gives her a hug. He goes back to his seat and says, I can go home now.
Team Adam

Christian Porter sang I'm Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO-- Christian is a cover singer in a bar and this blues version of the song is borrowed from a YouTube artist. Shakira thinks it's sexy and was first to turn around, then Blake, then Usher who says that the response form the ladies spoke to him. Christian chooses Blake
