The Voice Season 24: The Finale Takes Me Higher

Team Reba: Jacquie Roar sang More Than a Feeling by Boston-- This really showed the range in her voice and the fact that she is a total rocker. Gwen said Jacquie keeps getting better and better. I loved this song for her, very different but then when she started singing, so in her style.

Team Legend: Lila Forde sang The Weight by Bob Dylan-- Didn't love this performance to be honest. Gwen complimented her confidence. John said he loves her individuality and musicality.

Team Niall: Mara Justine sang Turning Tables by Adele-- This is one of my fave Adele songs. I loved how soulful she made this but she also made it her own. John said it was so striking and so beautiful, we saw a different side of your voice today. Niall said Mara I am so proud of you, the growth you have shown is insane. I hope they don't forget this moment because it was so big, you're an incredible singer and an incredible person.

Team Niall: Huntley sang Another Love by Tom Odell-- Didn't love this one either. Gwen said I like how you're so effortless and you feel like you come from a different time.

Team Reba: Ruby Leigh sang Suspicious Minds by Elvis Presley-- One of the better performances of the night. Ruby does have such a maturity for her age, it's hard to believe. This was a good song choice for her.  John said you are so remarkable, your voice has so much maturity. Reba said you have amazed me from the first time you got on the stage.

Team Reba: Jacquie Roar sang Knights in White Satin by The Moody Blues-- LOVE! Wow! What an amazing song choice. She killed this as well. Gwen said you must run on a tread mill all day to get that right in terms of the breath. That was beautiful. Reba said you are a force of nature, that was so pretty, it was a wonderful performance.

Team Legend: Lila Forde sang Across the Universe by The Beatles-- I thought this was a beautiful choice for her. Much better than her first round. Niall said you're so impressive and so true to yourself. John called her performance cinematic.

Team Niall: Mara Justine sang Piece of my Heart by Janis Joplin-- I feel like this song is overdone sometimes. I preferred her first performance here. This was good, she didn't sing bad per say, it just wasn't my taste. The coaches thought this was better than her first performance, I disagree.

Team Reba: Ruby Leigh sang Desperado by The Eagles-- Smart song choice, she sounded stunning but didn't overdo it. Wow! Gwen said you just channel so well the intention of the song. Reba said what a great song selection, not many people can do what you do,

Team Niall: Huntley sang Higher by Creed-- Great song choice for him! I thought once again his voice was a little lost in the arrangement but this is such a big song. John said I feel like when I watch you, I am watching someone who is already playing arenas. I am so shocked when you say you can't believe you're here doing this. Niall said that was euphoric.

Videos to come tomorrow!

5th Lila

4th Huntley

3rd Jacquie

2nd and 1st between Mara and Ruby

The Voice: Season 24: The Top 9 Are "Alive"

Team Reba: Ruby Leigh sand Take Me Home by John Denver-- Great fan selection on that song. Ruby sounded great. I love how she was all her own. John said you have been consistent and I loved those high notes today, clear as a bell, so beautiful. Reba said you did a great job, you did everything to perfection.

Team Gwen: BIAS sang God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts-- BIAS sounded so strong tonight and in touch with the vocal. It was nice to hear him be passionate with the lyrics and tender. Niall thought it was mature and well executed, he felt it was emotional, and he is consistent. Gwen said there is something so authentic about you, your voice is so gorgeous and it's just incredible to get to know you.

Team Reba: Jacquie Roar sang Alive by Sia (Chris Daughtry version)-- Such an awesome choice for her. I literally want her to sing that with Chris Daughtry. John said you knocked that out of the park. Reba said I know your kids are so proud of you, I know I am.

Team Reba: Jordan Rainer sang Ol' Red by Blake Shelton-- Something I really appreciate about Jordan is her performance quality. This was her best performance to date in my opinion. I just loved her performance quality and how she showed so much personality. Gwen said that was crazy, I could never imagine a female doing that song and it was my favorite performance of you. Reba said you did all of America proud tonight. You handled it like a pro.

Team Niall: Huntley sang Way Down We Go by Kaleo-- Such a perfect song for Huntley! John mentioned it, but I was feeling his Thor vibes up there. I feel like Huntley has been to this "painful" place in his life so when he sings these lyrics, he's coming from that place. Loved this.  John said I feel like I am really seeing you as an artist up there. Niall said you're incredible dude, we both love classic rock and southern rock. I think this was a perfect song for you to do.

Team Niall: Mara Justine sang Parachute by Chris Stapleton-- This song choice is a little curious for me, but I suppose it was chosen based on the fact that it is soulful and sultry and that is Mara. I liked her interpretation and I hope she sticks around cause she is a talented vocalist. She had that big note! John said you're hitting notes I've never heard before. I think this was your best vocal performance. Niall said that is crazy, it's a different side to you, the confidence is unbelievable.

Team Legend: Mac Royals sang Love TKO by Teddy Pendergrass-- I don't know if I would have chosen that song but he made it sound so good. I think he just has star quality and has earned a spot in the finals.  Reba said what a journey, you have just soared. John said he sings like a pro, he sings like a star, he sings like a superstar.

Team Niall: Nini Iris sang No Time to Die by Billie Eilish-- Wow!! That may have been the performance of the night. That was emotional and moving. Gwen said I'm blown away, you're so gifted, and tasteful with the way you build the songs. Niall said your ability to know who you are as an artist, Billie sings that song completely different. He urged America not to get complacent and to vote for Nini.

Team Legend: Lila Forde sang River by Joni Mitchell-- Amazing rendition, she was like Joni, but all her own. Reba said you have the ability to touch hearts so deep and you do that. John said you performance had so much wisdom, heart, integrity, and musicality; stunning.

Who is going home tomorrow?

My predictions-- Mara, Ruby, and Jordan, and I am sad about it.

The Voice Season 24: The Top 12 Lose Control

Chance the Rapper is back to mentor the top 12!

Team Reba: Jacquie Roar sang Wildflowers and Wild Horses by Lainey Wilson-- Wow! Jacquie looks amazing and sounds great. This is exactly what she should be doing. Niall said that's what comfortable looks like; we're getting to know you more and more. Gwen said you are incredible, you look beautiful tonight; you were tasteful with your dynamics. Reba said way to go, I am so proud of you.

Team Niall: Nini Iris sang Lovesong by The Cure-- Nini looks gorgeous too! She turned the song into an anthem, a declaration, and it was beautiful. John said your voice is so powerful, you have so much star power on stage and you did it again. Niall said the way you know who you are as an artist is impressive, I'm so proud of you.

Team Gwen: Kara Tenae sang Love by Keyshia Cole-- Shout out to the style department; they are making all these gorgeous women look glamorous! I loved Kara's song choice, and you could tell she is genuinely connected to the song. I felt the love. This is a real deal R&B performance. All four coaches were standing at the end. John said you nailed it, that was iconic; I loved it. Gwen said you are poised and confident and you, pure!

Team Gwen: Tanner Massey sang Thanks for the Memories by Fall Out Boy-- In theory I liked this song for him, but I don't know that the song did anything to showcase his voice in a strong way. Reba said I have always wanted you on my team. Gwen said she is so proud of him, you did such a good job.

Team Legend: Lila Forde sang Closer to Fine by The Indigo Girls-- Lila is one of those artists who unequivocally knows who she is. Like there is absolutely no question. The coaches once again all on their feet. Niall said, Lila Forde, I'm your biggest fan without a shadow of the doubt. Chance said in the video that you sing the lyrics as if you lived it and it happened to you. John said you brought us into your world, you're so special, I believe in you.

Team Reba: Ruby Leigh sang You Lie by Reba McEntire-- Ruby is just so young and it's incredible to me that she turns out such mature and poised performances. Niall said Ruby you are insane. Reba said Gwen and I are balling. I am so proud of you.

Team Niall: Huntley sang With a Little Help from my Friends by Joe Cocker-- I liked the song choice, I felt like the arrangement drowned him out at points. Then there were other points where he was really big and I could hear him loud and clear. John said I feel like you're already a pro; your voice is so powerful. Niall said that was in a different league. Reba and the other coaches were on their feet.

Team Legend: Azan sang Ex Factor by Lauryn Hill-- I am a big fan of Azan and a big fan of Lauryn Hill. I was stoked that  Miss Hill cleared that song. I wanted to hear more passion from her, like I really wanted her to push the vocal and she was just behind it. Well, once again, the coaches are on their feet. I absolutely LOVE that song. Gwen said I am so addicted to the original and for you to move me that way is a big deal. John said I felt everything, your passion and emotion, your voice is golden because it has so much nuance to it.

Team Reba: Jordan Rainer sang There's a Stranger in my House by Ronnie Milsap-- Loved Chance's comment about how she is so eccentric and her dress doesn't match her voice. Niall said another fantastic performance. Reba said you're a star, you conduct yourself on stage and demand attention.

Team Niall: Mara Justine sang Lose Control by Teddy Swims-- This was one of the most real and confident performances of the night. Mara sounded great, and I had never heard the song before but it was super catchy. Loved it. Another incredible performance as Carson said. Niall said Mara that was insane, best you've done it. The confidence you have gained getting to the lives is everything.

Team Legend: Mac Royals sang I Can't Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt-- That was a "star studded" performance. The coaches were on their feet. I felt like he felt that song, there was an emotional awareness. I loved how by the end, he was totally comfortable and made the song his own. However, he also maintained the integrity of the song by keeping the melody intact. John said you are elite talent. This man needs a record deal and this man needs to win The Voice, I am so proud of you.

Team Gwen: BIAS sang God's Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash-- This guy is so original. I love him. He has to be a finalist on this show. That was such an inspired performance. Reba said that's why I wanted you on my team, my gosh you're good. Gwen said it's like a dream that you're on my team, I am so excited. You are the purest person I have ever met.

Who could be going home? My bottom three-- Jordan, Tanner, and Nini... I'd be sorry to see Tanner go, I think he is great, I think it was the wrong sonng choice for him. Azan is on the bubble along with Huntley. These two frontrunners gave lackluster performances. Azan's performance lacked passion and Huntley's voice was drowned out by an over productive arrangement at time.

The Voice Season 24: Send Me an Angel.....

Team Legend:

SUPER SAVE Azan sang Adorn by Miguel-- I loved her rendition of this, she sounded amazing. This super save has to go through to the live shows. She put her own style and swag on it just like Miguel. Reba said I loved your stage presence, I couldn't take my eyes off you.  Niall said that was your best performance, the runs were so tasteful. Gwen said you walked in and sang that song with such ease, it was sexy and swaggy. John said I wouldn't change anything.

Kristen Brown sang Need You Now by Lady A-- Okay, so I liked it but I did not love it. I wanted more angst and emotion in her voice. Reba said you made the country crowd so proud. Gwen was regretting letting her go. John thought she had great breath control and that is was perfectly executed.

Kaylee Shimizu sang You Put a Move on My Heart by Quincy Jones and Tamia-- Amazing! Wow! I did not think she could top her previous performances, this was amazing for me. One of my favorite voices in this competition. Reba said you are destined for stardom. John said you have so much composure, death, and range; you are so special Kaylee.

Taylor Deneen sang Get Here by Oleta Adams-- This was so tasteful and beautiful. Taylor is such a gifted vocalist. She is mature and poised beyond her years. John is going to have some tough decisions to make because he has a stacked team full of stellar vocalists. Reba said way to go. Gwen said this is one of my favorite songs and it is so perfect for your voice, I would buy your record tomorrow. John said you carry yourself with such elegance, it felt like you were putting on a great concert.

Lila Forde sang Angel from Montgomery by John Prine-- I love how her personality shone through in this performance. Her vocals were unique and her tone was warm all the way through. She was just so so good! Niall said you were incredible, you are one of my favorite acts on the voice. Gwen said you sound like someone who has a 70s vibe but it flows through you naturally. Reba said you are the complete package. John called her runs fresh but classic.

Mac Royals sang Untitled by D'Angelo-- He is so good. This was such a good song choice for him. I loved the whole performance start to finish. Gwen said I was blown away, I loved how you were on the stage, everything. Reba said I am so proud of you and I know your grandma would be too. Niall said I felt like I was just watching the finale. John said I put you up there with the best I have ever been around. You are rewarding the leap of faith I took.

John chose Mac, Lila, and Azan.... I think John made the right choices but I am awfully sorry to see Kaylee and Taylor go because they are both immensely talented.

Team Reba

Jordan Rainger sang Boondocks by Little Big Town-- Hmm I liked it but I didn't love it. She felt sharp at certain points for me. I liked the song choice but didn't love how she did it from a style standpoint. John said people who should be in the lives are people who have a strong sense of who they are. Reba said she was so proud.

SUPER SAVE Ms Monet sang Until You Come Back to Me by Aretha Franklin-- Wow! I am so happy Reba invited Ms Monet back. This was my favorite performance. Her vocals were emotional and powerful. Loved it! Niall said you paid homage to Aretha but you also put some Ms Monet on it. Reba said to watch you walk on the stage, I am so proud to know you.

Jacquie Roar sang The Chain by Fleetwood Mac-- This is one of my favorite Fleetwood Mac songs and this performance was just incredible. John said it was his favorite Jacquie performance so far, it was tasteful and he loved it. Gwen said you never seem to look nervous. You kept turning up the gears louder and louder. Reba said you went for it, and you nailed it.

Noah Spencer sang Jolene by Ray LaMontagne-- That was an amazing performance. Niall said you're such a talent and your voice is so unique. Gwen said when you perform you are so available through the songs, you're a really great artist. Reba said you turned it up from zero to ten from rehearsals, congratulations.

Ruby Leigh sang Long Long Time by Linda Ronstadt-- This was beautiful and I absolutely loved her rendition of this song.  Niall said you are one of one, that is the best version of that song I ever heard.

Reba chose Jordan, Jacquie, and Ruby to move on to the Live Shows

I would have chosen Jacquie, Ruby, and Noah

Team Gwen

Stee sang Shut Up and Dance by Walk the Moon-- This wasn't my fave song choice but I think he is a polished and great performer.

BIAS sang Where I Find God by Larry Fleet-- Wow! This guy is smart and he looks like a star. This was such a good song choice. What an awesome performance. Gwen said your originality is so pure. I am honored and proud to have you on my team.

Rudi sang My All / Mi Todo by Mariah Carey-- She sounds amazing! I loved this song choice for her and that she did it in English and Spanish. She also looks gorgeous, like a star. Niall thought it was special. John thought her degree of difficulty was high. Gwen said you did a beautiful job and you could do any song.

Tanner Massey sang Impossible by Shontelle-- This performance was emphatic and passionate. I totally loved everything about this and I think Tanner needs to be in the lives because people are going to love him. Reba said you are cute a button and your performance was really good. Niall said you remind me of me when I was younger and I am a big fan. Gwen said you have grown a lot before my eyes and I am super proud.

SUPER SAVE Lennon Vanderdoes sang Falling Slowly-- This song was so perfect for Lennon; I don't know if it is enough for him to advance but I love his artistry. Niall said that was such a special moment, you're a proper artist. John said you are very consistent, you come out here and execute every time. Reba said I like to be able to identify the artists I listen to and you have that ability.

Kara Tenae sang Rain by SWV-- This was a magical performance. I loved everything about it-- the song, the vocals, the dynamics, and the emotion. She was simply amazing. One of my fave performances of the night. Niall said you never over perform, that was my favorite performance of you. John said she sounded magical and looked like a star on stage; he said it made him nostalgic. Gwen said what you do is very hard, and you were in control of your voice.

Gwen chose BIAS, Kara, and Tanner

I agree with Gwen's choices although I still feel like Rudi should be in this competition, she was so good.

The Voice Season 24: Team Niall Runs it Like a River

Nini Iris sang River by Bishop Briggs-- Nini is so unique; I was loving this song for her and her vibe. Niall said she grows every time she comes out on the stage. Reba made a comment that she felt her choreography went too far. I will need to watch it back.

Claudia B. sang Talking to the Moon by Bruno Mars-- Claudia has such an original interpretation with these songs. I loved this performance. Reba said she was captivated by Claudia's voice singing this Bruno Mars song, and Reba shared that she is a huge Bruno Mars fan. Niall said he is so happy that he saved Claudia.

Huntley sang Daylight by David Kushner-- Hmm I am a big fan of Huntley but I did not love this song for him. Come to find out, Niall picked this for him, as it isn't a song Huntley would pick for himself.  He did, as always, display his vocal abilities, which were nothing less than stellar. Gwen said if she had a record label she would snatch him up. John said you're an artist already; you should be selling out arenas. Niall said you're one of those people that has something to say to the world. Reba commented that she would keep Huntley.

Super Save: Julia Roome sang True Colors by Cyndi Lauper-- Oh I loved this! What a genuine and emotional performance. Gwen said she was emotional with her vocal choices. John said you had tender moments and powerful moments there. Niall said Julia you made my job really hard.

Mara Justine sang You've Got the Love by Florence and the Machine-- Mara has made me a fan, her voice is so soulful and full. Niall was on his feet. John said tapping into that falsetto was a real revelation. Reba said it was an emotional rollercoaster and your vocals are so good. Gwen said you're an amazing star already, you need to go to the lives.

Alexa Wildish sang Fields of Gold by Sting-- That was gorgeous. Reba loved Alexa's performance. John said no one else is like in this competition. Niall said I loved your emotion and authenticity.

My top 3: Huntley, Mara, and Claudia or Julia

Niall's top 3: Huntley, Nini, and Mara

The Voice Season 24: Unstoppable Performance in These Three Way Knockouts

Team Legend

Deejay Young singing Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes) -- This was a bit of an obscure song choice.

Lila Forde singing Fire and Rain by James Taylor -- I like this for her, even though it was a little sleepy, it displayed the nuances of her voice so well.

Stee singing Pretty Wings by Maxwell-- This was such a beautiful performance. He is a singer who knows who he is. This was my fave performance.

John chose Lila and Gwen stole Stee.

Montaged:

Team Gwen

BIAS singing You Should Probably Leave by Chris Stapleton beat Jason Arcilla  and Jenna Marquis

Team Niall

Claudia B singing Don't Know Why by Nora Jones -- Boring song choice for her, she is super talented but undersold herself on this one. I love her more than the song.

Huntley singing Dead or Alive by Jon Bon Jovi -- He is a favorite for me in this competition. I can definitely see him winning it all. His voice is just so clutch.

Noah Spencer singing Where Rainbows Never Die by The Steeldrivers -- I am a huge Noah fan. He is unique, young, and talented. I am not super familiar with this song, I was hoping he'd do something more main stream, but he makes me a believer every time I hear him.

Niall chose Huntley, saved Claudia B., and Reba stole Noah. John tried to steal Claudia and Noah! Wow this was quite the trio.

Team Reba

Ms Monet singing Best of my Love-- I loved this performance, Ms Monet has such attitude and personality and really sold the song. She is also such a talented vocalist.

Rachele Nguyen singing Die from a Broken Heart by Maddie & Tae-- She's experienced so much growth but the other two outshined her.

Ruby Leigh singing Blue by Leann Rimes-- This performance was original country. There is something about Ruby that makes you feel like you're in a time capsule.

Reba chose Ruby

Team Gwen

Kara Tenae singing Leave Get Out by Jojo-- Loved her performance, she's the real deal from a soul perspective.

Kristen Brown singing This One's for the Girls by Martina McBride-- Oh wow, this was good, she impressed me.

CORii singing Ain't It Fun by Paramore-- Fun performance, I enjoy watching CORii perform.

Gwen chose Kara and John stole Kristen

Tuesday Episode

Team Legend

Brandon Montel singing Nobody Gets Me by SZA-- Brandon did have great presence, he was very connected to the song.

Taylor Deneen singing Sweet Thing by Rufus and Chaka Kahn-- One of my fave songs. Wow, the coaches were all on their feet for Taylor. She was so good, in such good voice tonight. Loved her. She and Mac should move on is my opinion here.

Mac Royals singing Lost Without You by Robin Thicke-- Mac was so good, that was so flipping impressive, the vocals, the look everything. I loved this, he is a star.

John chose Mac and saved Taylor

Montaged Team Reba: Reba chose Jordan Rainer over Caitlin Quisenberry and Elizabeth Evans

Team Niall

Alexa Wildish singing Believe by Cher-- I love how she put her own interpretation of the song. It reinvented the lyrics for me.

Julia Roome singing Unstoppable by Sia-- Wow! At 13, this young lady is impressive. Her vocal for this was sick!!!

Lennon Vanderdoes singing I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz-- Lennon has such a unique tone. You have to really use your breath well for this song and he absolutely did.

Niall chose Alexa

The Voice Season 24: The Knockouts Continue

Team Niall:

Azan sang Caught Up in the Rapture by Anita Baker-- I didn't love this song choice because I see her as more of a contemporary R&B artist. For whatever reason, this came across as old fashioned.

Nini Iris sang Karma Police by Radiohead-- Didn't love this either. I did feel some good emotion from her.

Olivia Minogue sang Bring Me to Life by Evanescence-- Love this song and appreciate Olivia's fight. This is a tough song; Amy Lee is a beast.

Niall chose Nini

Team Gwen:

Tanner Massey sang In My Blood by Shawn Mendes-- Love this performance, it's so current. He has some work to do but he is someone who could be in this competition a long time if he listens to the coaches and takes notes.

Rudi sang Smokin Out the Window by Silk Sonic-- Odd song choice but Rudi is so talented.

Chechi Sarai sang Never Can Say Goodbye by The Jackson 5-- For the first time, Chechi sounded off and anxious. This is a deceivingly tough song to sing.

Gwen chose Tanner and saved Rudi. Reba and John tried to steal her.

The Voice Season 24: Hold My Hand Through the End of the Battles!

Team Niall brought us Huntley and Brailey Lenderman singing Hold My Hand by Hootie and the Blowfish-- I loved this battle, the song is a little overdone but I heard it in a different way and different light than I ever have before. They were both great, but Huntley's voice and whole vibe is incredible. Gwen says she is scared that Huntley will win the Voice. John said Brailey was powerful, made great choices while still keeping it fresh. Huntley has such magnetism and energy that he conveys. Reba wanted to go up and sing with them. Niall said it was the best version of the song he had heard. Niall chose Huntley.

Team Reba brought us Caitlin Quisinberry and Crystal Nicole singing The Song Remembers When by Trisha Yearwood-- Both ladies sounded beautiful. They complimented each other beautifully. Niall said Crystal's voice was round and warm, and he loved Caitlin as a storyteller. Gwen called Caitlin memorable, and Crystal you have a strength in your voice. Reba said Trisha would be thrilled with that. She said they were both so good. Reba chose Caitlin, she said she's like a country pop artist. Crystal was so gracious and said she learned so much.

Team Gwen brought us Brandon Montel and Kara Tenae singing Have You Ever by Brandy-- I thought both of them played their parts well, but Kara won that battle for me because she emoted the song beautifully. Reba said she was entertained by that performance. She would pick Kara because she was fascinated with her. Niall said the technical part of that was crazy. He would lean toward Brandon for uniqueness. Gwen articulated that Brandon did better in rehearsal whereas Kara elevated from rehearsal. Gwen chose Kara and John stole Brandon.

The Knockouts! 3 Way Knockouts!

Reba-- Jacquie Roar sang Girl by Maren Morris

Tom Nitti sang I Know (I'm Losing You) by The Temptations

Alison Albrecht sang It's Too Late by Carole King

Tom is so soulful. He would be my top choice. I did see Alison's growth but I was left wanting more from her. Jacquie is so gifted vocally but this was not my fave song choice for her. Gwen called Tom soulful and swaggy. John loved Alison's tone and she was his fave voice, but total package he picked Jacquie.

Reba chose Jacquie and saved Tom

Team Legend-- Kaylee Shimizu sang Ain't No Way by Aretha Franklin

Caleb Sasser sang Jealous by Nick Jonas

Mara Justine sang Without You by Mariah Carey

Caleb has such range and it's so effortless. Kaylee is so good! She is so poised and there's an old soul in there, her voice emotes so much. I loved Mara, I thought she killed that. Reba loved Caleb's presence, and Kaylee's voice. Niall said he cannot keep his eyes off Mara, and Kaylee your voice and stage presence. Gwen wanted more sass from Caleb, every song Mara sings could be her song.

John chose Kaylee and Gwen and Niall are trying to steal Mara.

The Voice Season 24: Battle Til You Can't

Team Reba brought us Tom Nitti and Dylan Carter singing Til You Can't by Cody Johnson-- Tom impressed the heck out of me in comparison to his one chair turn in the blinds. Dylan had so much hype going in being a four chair turn but it's almost like he plateaued and had that special blind and didn't take it anywhere further. What does impress me about Dylan is his connection to the song and to the music. I could tell Tom was totally feeling that song. Niall said when the two of you harmonized together it was electric. Gwen said Dylan your voice is so beautiful and Tom you kept blowing me away. John said Tom you were hiding behind the guitar a little bit and then you became a revelation. Dylan you were spiritually in tune with what you were singing. Reba said it was magical and their voices complimented each other. Reba chose Tom.

Monataged: Team Niall-- Olivia Minogue and Laura Williams sang Ghost by Ella Henderson. Niall chose Olivia

Team Gwen brought us Eli Ward and Jason Arcilla singing Make it With You by Bread--  I loved his performance, this was something so relaxed and peaceful. I loved how Niall described Jason's voice. John loved the gentleness of Jason's tone but would go with Eli. Niall said Eli this song really suited your voice, Jason you have an etherealness that's built into you. Gwen chose Jason, she said she would listen to him on a record right now and she chose him because he's more consistent at this point. Eli grew a lot in a short time.

Team Legend brought us Claudia B and Mara Justine singing Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield-- Why do I have a feeling there is going to be a steal here? I gotta say Team Legend is pretty stacked. Reba said you are 21 and 25; y'all are so talented. Claudia vocal and stage presence, unbelievable. Mara your attitude, you got into, and when you did, I did. Reba would pick Claudia. Niall, Mara I remember you superstar, Claudia you were able to maintain control and be yourself, it was flawless. I would lean towards Mara. Gwen said Claudia you have a strong identity through your voice, Mara there is star quality in your walk, it was animated and flawless. Gwen would go with Mara. John said you delivered and I was proud to be your coach. Claudia your voice has a lot of clarity and Mara yours has more rock and edge. John chose Mara and Niall stole Claudia.

The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken

I consider myself to be a sensitive soul who is pretty in touch with her emotions. When I was sitting down to dinner on Saturday night, I hopped on Instagram as I often do, and the first thing on my feed was that TMZ was reporting that Matthew Perry was dead. I told my family and began messaging friends who I knew would want to know. I was hoping that this news wouldn't be true. I know from past experiences how accurate TMZ is, but I just kept saying to myself, maybe this isn't true. Maybe he is still alive and on his way to the hospital.

Seeing Matthew make the rounds for his memoir last year and listening to him tell his story-- I did not want this to be the end for him, and for all of us who are fans of him which was just about anyone who knew who he was. I feel like no one has or had anything bad to say about him, despite knowing his difficult history with alcohol and prescription drugs. He is consistently described as kind, generous, giving, full of energy and joy, and funny as hell of course.

I'm a gen x- cusp of being millenial child so Friends was my childhood and growing up. I watched "must see TV" every Thursday night on NBC. Friends and ER came on and that was how I spent my evenings in middle school, high school, and most of college. The show was fun, witty, and heartfelt. The cliffhangers, which became customary, kept you on the edge of your seat, and locked in. You wanted to know what happened to Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe. They felt like my friends.

Growing up as someone who dealt with wanting to fit in and be a part of something, I related to Chandler. I related to how he was at times, awkward and uncomfortable but wanted to be well liked. He was smart and witty. On the personal side, Matthew Perry,  I also understood-- his angst, the depression piece of things, at times that deep loneliness that overtakes you. I have never had issues with alcohol or drugs but certainly I have felt in a dark place at times. I think his ability to be vulnerable and to share his flaws humanized him to all of us, it certainly did for me. Chandler and Matthew were our friends.

I have not read Matthew's book yet; however, I do plan on reading it. I did listen to interviews he did when he toured for his book and when the Friends reunion was on HBO Max. There were several things I took away from it. One, he had been to hell and back with his addiction. He spent tons of money to get clean, to the tune of over seven million dollars; he went to rehab 15 times. At one point during his addiction he had to get surgery for a colon burst caused by opiod abuse and he was given a 2% chance of living. He said he got clean, not for himself, but because he was afraid of dying. Matthew had currently been about 30 months sober at the time of his death and was working on a starting a foundation for substance abuse treatment. He was living, spending time with friends, playing pickleball which became a major outlet for maintaining his sobriety, and he brought other people dealing with addiction issues to play pickleball with him. He didn't want his legacy to just be "Friends"; he wanted his legacy to be that he could help people with their addictions, he could help them to get clean.

The other thing I took from him was his sense of gratitude. He said throughout all his struggles and dark times his siblings supported him, no one ever abandoned him. He said the cast of Friends stood by him and supported him in his efforts to get clean. They were understanding and patient, describing them as penguins and saying you know how when a penguin gets sick, all the other penguins surround it until it feels better. He says at the height of his struggles, Jennifer Aniston confronted him and spoke on behalf of the cast saying that they were all concerned about his well being. She continued to check in with him even after the show ended. He was the only cast member of Friends to sit with the writers, his comic genius, his timing was flawless. Matthew himself brought countless people to get treatment for addictions; it was his way of giving back. It was his way of paying back the kindness he had received. Hank Azaria (The Simpsons) spoke about how Matthew brought him to his first AA Meeting when he struggled with alcohol addiction and kept going with him for a year.

I want to write another blog entry after I have read his memoir and share my feelings and thoughts about it. I heard that he pays tribute to each of his cast mates individually. Clearly, they meant a lot to him and he to them. The Friends cast issued a statement which may be somewhat cliche but definitely sums up the relationship they have with each other:

"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," their statement reads. "There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able," the statement continues. "For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world."

Some have said that during the end of his life, Matthew struggled with loneliness. He desperately wanted to find love and he wanted to be a father. He ruined many of his past relationships and he said he wasn't afraid anymore. I hope that he is at peace now and that he is not struggling anymore. Matthew said that thing about addiction is that it's always there. You are always managing your addiction and your sobriety.

Sources say Matthew was working on a script and that's where his references to Mattman came from on his recent Instagram posts. He also referenced Batman in his memoir. He also had signed on to a drama film. “We will always cherish the joy, the light, the blinding intelligence he brought to every moment — not just to his work, but in life as well,” the co-creators of “Friends,” Marta Kauffman and David Crane, as well as executive producer Kevin Bright said. “This truly is The One Where Our Hearts Are Broken.”

The Voice Season 24: These Battles Were Everything I Wanted

Team Reba brought us Al Boogie and Ruby Leigh singing Jolene by Dolly Parton-- I really wish both could move forward, but I have a feeling it's just going to be Ruby. Al was so good though and should be so proud of who he is as an artist which is authentically country. Niall said Al your tone is infectious, Ruby your tone is so beautiful. Gwen said your presence is not that of a teenager Ruby, Al your stage presence is really strong. John said you both were compelling, Al you killed it man. Ruby I love that cry in your voice, you feel so in possession of your identity as an artist. Reba thought the performance showed their personality as artists. Reba chose Ruby.

Team Gwen brought us Joslynn Rose and Rudi singing My Immortal by Evanescence-- Amy Lee is one of my faves so hearing this was amazing. Joslynn was a little pitchy. I appreciated Rudi's soulful understated power. John liked how Josslyn started, and he liked how Rudi came into her own. He chose Rudi. Reba said she loved when Josslyn opened her eyes, she loved Rudi's stage presence and voice. Niall said Rudi's performance was flawless, such an impressive sing. Josslyn the way you started out was brilliant, you're just poised. Gwen said this is a tough song to sing. She appreciated both ladies and said there isn't really a winner. However she picked Rudi.

Team Niall brought us Reid Zingale and Noah Spencer singing Lego House by Ed Sheeran-- Oh my goodness, another song I'm obsessed with. Reid you can tell is a seasoned performer, but for me my pick would be Noah. I am obsessed with his voice, his tone is just so cool. John said he would lean towards Noah. Niall said Reid your tone made me turn. Noah you're a touch closed off but there's something so intriguing, it's like I want to hear more. Niall picked Noah.

Team Legend brought us Azan and Taylor Deneen singing Do It by Chloe x Halle-- Wow!!! For me, Azan won that. She sold the song, I loved her soulfulness. To me, her voice was Beyonce before Beyonce became too big. Reba said their talent is off the charts. Niall said, Taylor you were brilliant, Azan your stage presence was spectacular; I'd lean to Azan. Gwen said Azan you command more attention. I enjoyed every minute, thank you. John said Azan you're so magnetic, and Taylor you came through and were really confident. John chose Taylor. Niall and Reba are trying to steal Azan. Azan chose Niall.

Team Niall brought us Alexa Wildish and LVNDR singing Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish-- Both ladies were so good, but for me there was something magical about Alexa. Gwen said LVNDR you're so stylized you stand out. Alexa you are so classic and so powerful. John said that was so beautiful, LVNDR you were influenced by Billie, Alexa there was something arresting about your voice. I'd pick Alexa. Reba said LVNDR you have that airy, soft, and tender voice. Alexa I love how you looked at the audience and conveyed how you're feeling. I'd pick Alexa. Niall said neither of you deserve to go home. I'm going with my gut feeling. Niall chose Alexa.

Montaged performance: Team Gwen: Jenna Marquis vs. Claire Heilig sang Flowers by Miley Cyrus. Gwen chose Jenna.

Team Legend brought us Elizabeth Evans and Kaylee Shimizu singing Traitor by Olivia Rodrigo-- Woah, that ending was stellar. I mean the whole thing was though. Can I pick both of them? Reba said that was fantastic, Elizabeth when you hit that big note I was in awe, Kaylee your range. Niall said that was the best version of that song I have ever heard. Kaylee your runs are phenomenal. Elizabeth you're just a different beast. Gwen called both of them gifted. John said that was stunning, both of you are interesting and cool. Elizabeth you're quirky but you can also flat out sing. Kaylee you're so polished at such a young age, it's stunning to watch. John picked Kaylee. Reba stole Elizabeth right as she was about the leave the stage.

The Voice Season 24: How Deep Is My Love for The Battles You Ask?

Team Niall brought us Nini Iris and Sophia Hoffman singing Heart of Glass by Blondie-- Not sure what's up with all Niall's song choices for the battles, all these old songs. It's cool but for some of these younger singers, I'd like to see them doing something more youthful. I thought both ladies were good, I just thought the performance was a little bit caberet. Gwen said it didn't feel like a battle. Reba thought they both looked like they were having fun. Niall said Sophia has great perseverance, and Nini is mesmerizing. He hoped someone would come up with a steal. He picked Nini.

Team Gwen brought us Calla Prejean and Chechi Sarai singing I'll Never Love Again by Lady Gaga-- I loved this song and this performance from both of them. Chechi was more ambitious but Calla was more in touch emotionally. Gwen said, Calla was emotional; Chechi you were amazing, that was Grammy performance worthy. Gwen chose Chechi to move forward.

Montaged battles.... my favorite.... NOT!

Team John:

Caleb Sasser vs. Talakai singing Too Good at Goodbyes by Sam Smith: Caleb moved forward to knockouts

Lila Forde va. JaRae Womack singing Killing Me Softly by Roberta Flack: Lila moved forward to knockouts

Team Reba brought us Rachele Nguyen vs. Mac Royals singing How Deep is Your Love by The Bee Gees-- Wow I love both of them. Rachele I feel like is the biggest surprise to me because I was not expecting all that from her. Reba has done a really good job with these contestants who weren't great in blinds but she takes them and brings out all their amazing qualities. Mac is no surprise, he is just super talented, someone who should be and could be on the radio right now. Niall recognized the difficulty of what Mac did throughout the performance and said with Rachele he did not remember her being that good, he questioned why he didn't turn. John loves Mac's voice he said it was soulful, rich, and just has so much character. John did bring up that there was some struggle at the beginning. Reba was so proud of both Rachele and Mac. She loved Rachele's enthusiasm. She said she wished Mac had stayed with the melody of the song at the beginning as she mentioned and maybe that was the pitch issue he had. However she still said his vocals were incredible. Reba chose Rachele and John stole Mac.

The Voice Season 24: I Need a Favor-- Check out these battles.....

Team Gwen brought us BIAS and Jacquie Roar singing Need a Favor by Jelly Roll-- L O V E the song choice. They both brought it. BIAS stepped up big time, I had counted him out after his blind. Jacquie I expected it from. John said you both were singing; BIAS I couldn't take my eyes off you, I felt the star power, I'd choose you. Reba said Jacquie, your vocal is up there, BIAS you were bouncing around. Reba would go with Jacquie. Niall said Jacquie your voice was crazy and BIAS you were so fun to watch. Niall would go with BIAS. Gwen said BIAS I did not expect all that based on your blind audition, Jacquie your voice is incredible. Gwen chose BIAS. Reba stole Jacquie.

Team Reba brought us Alison Albrecht and Angelina Nazarian singing You Say by Lauren Daigle-- Didn't love this; there were some awkward parts. Niall and Gwen were leaning towards Alison. John said he loved the song choice. Reba said she found the practice performance meaningful and said they reverted here somewhat. Reba chose Alison as the winner of the battle.

Team Niall brought us Julia Roome and Olivia Eden singing Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer-- I did not love this performance, thus far I have not been impressed with Team Niall. Reba was inspired by their confidence. Gwen loved Julia's lower tone; Olivia your tone is rare and sounds so original. Niall said there is so many years ahead for both of you. He chose Julia.

Team Legend brought us Stee and Willie Gomez singing Tacones Rojas by John Legend and Sebastian Yatra-- Loved the vibe of this performance. I am not a John Legend fan but this was tight, well executed, and strong vocals. I loved them both and they're multitalented. Reba loved it, she loved Stee's stage presence, and she said Willie can sing in two languages. Reba picked Willie. Niall said that's what it looks like when two four chair turns go head to head. Niall loved Stee's unique tone, and sees Willie as the whole package. Gwen said Stee, your voice is perfect, and Willie your voice and the dancing all at the same time. John said it's rare that I am so stumped, I'm still undecided. Stee your vocal was perfect, and Willie you executed the performance perfectly, it was airy and powerful at the same time like Gwen said. John picked Stee. I thought someone would pick Willie.

Team Gwen brought Kristen Brown and Juliette Ojeda us singing That's the Way It Is by Celine Dion-- I would lean towards Juliette but I loved this performance in general. Niall said Juliette your tone is so pure; Kristen you have so many sides to your voice, dynamics. Reba said your voices blended so well, great harmonies. She couldn't pick one. Gwen said you both have a future in music. John leaned towards Kristen and Gwen chose Kristen.

Team Reba brought us CORii and Ms Monet sang New Attitude by Anita Baker-- They kept raising the bar. That was so awesome. Niall said CORii, why did I not turn? This was different level; Ms Monet, wow! John said that was so great. CORii you were finding your footing at the beginning, once you found your way, your voice was magnificent. Ms Monet, you were consistently amazing. Reba said you could go on tour as a duet right now. CORii you really stepped up and Ms Monet, the way you conduct yourself, you're so professional. Niall and Gwen are going to steal CORii! CORii picked Gwen!

The Voice Season 24: The Battles Begin

The kick off of battles for season 24 was fairly uneventful.

Team Legend (John) started with DeeJay Young and Ephraim Owens singing Cry Me a River by Justin Timberlake-- I was taken aback that John ended up choosing DeeJay. I felt like DeeJay's performance was more theatrical whereas Ephraim was more soulful. Reba would pick Ephraim. Niall would lean to DeeJay, and Gwen said she couldn't choose. John chose DeeJay.

Team Reba brought us Jordan Rainer and Jackson Snelling singing The Heart Don't Lie by Reba McEntire and Vince Gill-- This was my fave battle of the night. I thought both of them brought so much to it. My preference here was Jackson but Reba picked Jordan. She was the predictable choice.

Last battle of the night was Team Niall and it was Lennon Vanderdoes and Tanner Massey singing She's Always a Woman to Me by Billy Joel. These two guys are both so talented and they managed to pull this off however, the song was way too old fashioned for them and could have come off as a karaoke. They should have been singing something like There's Nothing Holding Me Back by Shawn Mendes. I think both Lennon and Tanner are so good. Lennon has such a unique sound, I honestly don't think I have ever heard someone like him. Tanner has the look and is someone who is ready right now. Niall goes with Lennon. John and Gwen go in for the steal on Tanner. Tanner chooses Gwen.

The Voice Season 24: The Final Round of Blinds, Part 7

Huntley, 33, sang She Talks to Angels by Black Crows-- Huntley has a big, mature, rock voice. I loved him, so effortless. Reba said she heard Chris Stapleton. Niall heard some James Morrison in him, he said you sing your own way, very direct, and such power. Gwen said your voice is so automatic, you sound like you've been singing forever, on stage, performing. John said your voice has so much polish, you're so humble. Your voice just sounds so ready. Huntley brought his six year old daughter Stella out on stage and she chose Niall.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 10 out of 10

Azan, 28, sang Golden by Jill Scott-- One of my fave female voices this season. I loved her soul and the ease with which she navigated through the song. I was digging her runs and how she dug into the song. It was a gritty and soulful performance. Reba and John turned, she should have been four chairs. John loved her positive energy and her song choice. Reba loved the song and her energy. Azan chose John.

Score: 10 out of 10

Eli Ward, 21, sang Bruises by Lewis Capaldi-- Eli struggled through that performance quite a but. Gwen mentioned that it faltered after she turned. Reba turned also and said she turned because his tone was so different. Niall said he did not turn because of the pitch issues. He's got some work to do and I think he chose Gwen because she said that she could help.

Score: 5 out of 10

Brailey Lenderman, 33, sang If It Makes You Happy by Sheryl Crowe-- Okay, so Gwen and Niall turned around. It wasn't that great. I found it pitchy; there were lots of pitch issues throughout the performance. Gwen liked the character, personality, and heart in her voice. Niall believes she has audition nerves but chose a big song. Gwen tried to convince Brailey that she would be distracted by Niall, but she said she has a super hot husband at home so..... Brailey picked Niall.

Score:  7 out of 10

Dylan Carter, 20, sang I Look to You by Whitney Houston-- Dylan is amazing and his performance was so heartfelt. He is gifted. He was supposed to sing this song at his mom's funeral but he couldn't get through it, so this was his second chance. Dylan is emotional and the coaches are too. Reba said she loves songs that you can take spiritual or secular, and Dylan said so much emotion. Reba said I felt the emotion, it touched my heart, and I could see you were emotional. Niall said he felt some nerves, but believes Dylan is special. Gwen said your voice is so warm. Dylan told John this was my mom's dream before it was mine, and John said your mom is so proud of you. Dylan chose Reba.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 10 out of 10

Claire Heilig, 30, sang Tennessee Orange by Megan Moroney-- One chair turn by Gwen. The performance was very monotone. She has a pretty voice, so it will be interesting to see if with better song choices she can turn it around. Claire wanted Gwen to turn for her. Reba said she wished her team was not full.

Score: 6 out of 10

Lennon Vanderdoes, 27, sang The Night We Met by Lord Huron-- I am not familiar with that song but that was so good! I loved it. His voice was technically perfection. Just stunning. John, Gwen, and Niall all turned. Niall said it was one of his favorite voices this season. John said his performance was a tour de force, and he belongs out there making records. Lennon said I am a storyteller and you're my hero Niall, which is why ultimately, Lennon chose Niall.

Score: 10 out of 10

Taylor Deneen, 23, sang Redbone by Childish Gambino-- Flawless performance, tons of soul, John was up dancing, and Niall and Reba were wishing that they still had space on their teams to push. Niall felt how I did and called her performance flawless. Reba said your voice and your range is astounding. John said that was incredible, he pitched only having one spot left. You kept getting better. Gwen loved how feminine Taylor's voice is. Taylor chose John.

Score: 10 out of 10

Calla Prejean, 22, You're So Vain by Carly Simon-- Not a huge fan of this song. Rather tame and somewhat boring performance, but Gwen turned.

Score: 5 out of 10

The Voice Season 24: The Blinds So Far, and My Top Picks

Season 24:

Blind Auditions 1:

Jordan Rainger, 33, kicked it off singing Fancy by Reba McEntire-- I loved the flare she brought to the song. She has a unique sound and she is a little bit country rock. 4 chairs. Jordan of course picked Reba!

4 CHAIRS

Score: 8 out of 10

Joslyn Rose, 16, sang Arcade by Duncan Laurence-- Gwen, Reba, and Niall turned. She is young and she does have a good voice. She has that folksy sound. However she was a little shaky in some places. Gwen always seems to go for the young contestants. John compared her to Billie Eilish. Joslyn picked Gwen.

Score: 5 out of 10

DeeJay Young, 33, sang This Woman's Work by Maxwell-- This is a killer song and he did it justice. John, Gwen, and Reba turned. His phrasing is gorgeous and his falsetto is beautiful. I love how he transitions from falsetto to his full voice. He calls Reba a legend but says "Get Lifted" changed his life. He predictably chose John.

Score: 9 out of 10

Sophia Hoffman, 18, sang Tell Me You Love Me by Demi Lovato-- Love this song, didn't love all the choices she made vocally. She came back from last season. Reba and Niall turned. Reba complimented her power and strength. Sophia chose Niall.

Score: 6 out of 10

Jackson Snelling, 21, If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away by Justin Moore-- Gwen and Reba turned. Jackson was a contestant on American Idol in 2019. He has a good voice, great country tone, pure. Jackson says he grew up listening to "Miss Reba". Jackson chose Reba.

Score: 7 out of 10

Alexa Wildish, 34, sang Songbird by Fleetwood Mac-- Well deserved four chair turn. Her tone is stunning. Niall said the performance made him emotional, and that he started picking up a guitar and becoming a songwriter because of people like Stevie Nicks. Everyone commented on the fact that she is a storyteller when she sings. She chose Niall.

Score: 9 out of 10

Olivia Minogue, 19, sang Lay Me Down by Sam Smith-- I love her song choice. She has a unique tone, it's a little bit odd though. Her lower register just doesn't sit well. John, Niall, and Reba turned, and Olivia being a huge One Direction fan chose Niall.

Score: 5 out of 10

Kristen Brown, 24, sang Blown Away by Carrie Underwood-- Okay, she is no Carrie, but she did hit some of the big notes. I think she is someone who could improve with some coaching. Gwen and Reba turned for her which I expected. Gwen calls Kristen a diamond in the rough. Reba promises to steal her because Kristen chose Gwen.

Score: 8 out of 10

Mara Justine, 21, sang Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John-- Mara was on AGT and American Idol and did pretty well on both shows. Now she has come to The Voice. John, Gwen, Reba, and Niall all turned. She is a pro, and is seasoned as a performer. I don't necessarily love the song for her or this rendition of it. I think she may have changed the melody a little too much. Mara ended up choosing John.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 7 out of 10

Blind Auditions 2:

Ruby Leigh, 16, sang I Want to be a Cowboy's Sweetheart by Patsy Montana-- Wow! She is amazing. I cannot believe she is 16. I don't agree with John often but he said her voice was clear and precise. She is a huge contender in this competition. Niall complimented her power and control. This was a deserved four chair turn. Ruby chose Reba, this is a great match.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 9.5 out of 10

Juliette Ojeda, 20, sang Hopelessly Devoted to You from Grease-- This was a little too old fashioned for me. I'd like to hear her sing something straight pop. Gwen, Niall, and Reba turned for her. Juliette chose Gwen.

Score: 4 out of 10

Julia Roome, 13, sang Dream a Little Dream of Me-- Wow, her voice is so mature for her age. She has a classic sound, but it doesn't sound too old fashioned if that even makes sense. Her tone is unique. Niall and Gwen turned. She looked so excited when Niall turned. She could go far if coached and developed in the right way. I am actually surprised that she did not receive more turns. Julia chose Niall.

Score: 8.5 out of 10

Jenna Marquis, 19, sang Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus-- Gwen, Niall, and John turned. I actually admired her choice of song and the way she pursued it and really made it her own. I loved the attack of the second half and her rasp. Jenna said she really looks up to Gwen and listens to her every day. She said she first heard the song she sang at a One Direction concert. Jenna chose Gwen.

Score: 9 out of 10

Ephraim Owens, 36, sang Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth-- I don't even like that song and he was amazing. His tone is so special. He comes across as passionate, and his full voice is like incredible. Gwen liked his combo of soul and rock. Niall complimented his angst. Reba called him a firecracker, dynamic, and explosive. However-- Ephraim said John is one of his inspirations, so it is no surprise that he chose John.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 10 out of 10

Blind Auditions 3:

Stee, 34, sang Sugar by Maroon 5-- John blocked Niall. Reba loved the song selection and dance moves. Stee said he has been singing since he was 14. I loved the performance quality. Niall commented that he was singing Adam Levine and Adam does kill that song. I thought he was great, and Gwen commented on how his personality shone through and I agree, I felt that as well. Stee said his cousin who passed away three weeks ago was John's biggest fan. He was hoping he would be there. Stee chose John.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 9.5 out of 10

Chechi Sarai, 32, sang Lovin You by Minnie Riperton-- Her vocals were effortless. I cannot wait to hear her progress throughout the course of the season. Niall sees her as a finalist. Reba said her vocals are just "insane". Gwen said it was like she was watching a Grammy performance. She believes she can help her find her heart. Chechi chose Gwen.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 10 out of 10

Reid Zingdale, 27, sang July by Noah Cyrus-- Gwen, Niall, and John turned almost immediately. I think he has a cool sound, but I agree with Reba, he needs to enunciate his words a little bit better. The song is cool though and he has a storyteller sound and vibe. Niall said my fans are going to love you. Reid chose Niall.

Score: 8.5 out of 10

Claudia B, 24, sang Human Nature by Michael Jackson-- John, Niall, and Reba turned at the beginning. I love the song choice, and how she kind of gave it a jazz/ pop sound. She does have some soul in her voice too. Claudia went to Berklee and studied jazz. John asked what instrument she played, she said keys. Niall said he could tell she was a musician cause of how she interpreted the song. Claudia mentioned that she waited on Reba in Nashville and that she was very sweet to her, and Reba commented that she liked her vulnerability. Claudia chose John.

Score: 8.25 out of 10

Mac Royals, 30, sang Gravity by John Mayer-- He is the real deal. I loved his rendition of this song, oh my goodness, John Mayer is smiling watching this somewhere. He is soulful, expressive, and just all his own. John comments that he made us forget about the original. Reba stresses that she loves all genres of music. Mac surprises the whole panel by choosing Reba. He said he and his grandmother used to watch her show together.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 10 out of 10

Noah Spencer, 20, sang Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan-- I love his voice. John didn't turn because an artist like Noah is beyond him. His voice is so cool and so pretty, I just love the gravel and the rasp. Gwen, Reba, and Niall all turned. Niall called his voice "ridiculous", and said he had done a version of that song. Noah said he is a fan of it. Gwen said America loves your type of voice. Reba loved the gravel in his voice. Noah said he grew up listening to bluegrass and country. Noah chose Niall.

Score: 9 out of 10

Tom Nitti, 31, sang Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder-- Only Reba turned. His voice is okay, it's a little bit predictable. He is singing in a rock/ country style. I would like to see him progress in the competition. Tom is on Team Reba

Score: 7 out of 10

Alison Albrecht sang Ironic by Alanis Morissette-- Another one chair turn by Reba. I don't find Alison particularly strong. I think she will quickly be pushed out in the next round.

Score: 4 out of 10

Talakai, 34, sang Stay with Me by Sam Smith-- Not too impressed with this one. Reba and John turned, and Talakai chose John. Hopefully John will help him, he needs a strong coach.

Score: 5 out of 10

Rudi, 28, sang You Don't Know Me by Leslie Gore-- I actually loved her surprisingly. Her voice was very soulful, she kind of reminded me of a cross between Ariana Grande, J Lo, and JoJo. Niall blocks John. Gwen turns early on and is the first one. It was such a good song choice. Reba loved that it was a story song that touched her heart. Rudi said that she is a huge fan of Gwen's. Rudi chose Gwen.

4 CHAIRS

Score: 10 out of 10

Blind Auditions 4:

Laura Williams, 20, sang Fingers Crossed by Lauren Spencer Smith-- Hmm, the coaches obviously loved her. I found her a little bit shouty at times. I do give her props for getting through the song, but there was something about it that I didn't love the way the coaches did.  Niall loves her vibe and mentions how difficult the song is to sing. Reba says Laura is a prodigy. Laura chose Niall, obviously because she spoke about how much she loved One Direction.

Jason Arcilla, 34, sang Dreams by Fleetwood Mac-- To me, this should have been four chairs. He was amazing. I feel like I could feel the emotions he was conveying through this song. There is totally a roundness in his voice, that I am obsessed with, and I cannot wait to hear what happens going forward. Gwen and Reba turned, Gwen blocked Reba, and Jason is on Team Gwen.

Score: 10 out of 10

Kaylee Shimizu, 17, sang Golden Slumbers by The Beatles-- I find her song choice a little bit weird. She has an Ariana Grande vibe, clearly she can hit high notes. Kaylee chose John.
