Not only do the coaches have steals this year but they also have a save where they can save one of their own team members.
Team Blake: Kyla Jade sang You Don't Know Me by Leslie Gore vs. Jaclyn Lovey sang Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae-- Blake's adviser was his winning team member from last season Chloe Kohanski who I absolutely loved. Overall, Kyla was the winner. I did feel, however, that the performance got away from her at the end, it was a little bit out of control on the vocal. Jaclyn lacks experience but has such a sweet vocal quality, she has natural talent. Alicia said she is so proud of how free Jaclyn is on stage, and she said Kyla, we just died with that.
Blake chose Kyla
Team Kelly: Justin Kilgore sang Shameless by Garth Brooks vs. Kaleb Lee sang Free by Zac Brown Band-- Kelly's adviser is Cassadee Pope who won Season 3 with Blake. Kaleb is my choice here, like Adam said he is pure country and the real deal. Adam also nailed the issue with Justin, he was super passionate but his vocals were not on point tonight. I think he struggled with who he is as an artist. He took it in stride. Blake regrets letting go of Kaleb, he should be! Kaleb is a contender.
Kelly chose Kaleb
Team Adam: Jackie Foster sang Bring Me to Life by Evanesence vs. Mia Boostrom sang Wade in the Water -- Adam's adviser is Jordan Smith who won Season 9! Jackie is singing one of my favorite songs and Amy Lee is one of my favorite female voices, so I totally loved this. I believe her as an alternative singer. Her vocal, especially at the end, was so strong! Mia was also strong, she took an old school gospel song and really jazzed it up. Blake said, you're two very different artists at the top of your game, Jackie, you're as good as it gets, and Mia, you're the surprise here. Kelly said you couldn't go wrong with either. Alicia said Jackie got stronger and stronger, and Mia it was amazing to hear such a warm voice. Both are awesome, I loved both and agree, he can't go wrong with either.
Adam chose Mia,
and Kelly is trying to steal Jackie back and Adam wants to save her!
Blake then jumped in to steal her as well. Adam said you told me backstage that you want to do rock and roll music and I feel I am the best to help you with that. Blake said I have never kicked you out of the house. Alicia also wants it! Alicia said I turned for you in the blinds and the battles.
Jackie chose Alicia! Wow!
Team Blake: Austin Giorgio sang Almost Like Being in Love by Frank Sinatra vs. Spensha Baker sang Broken Halos by Chris Stapleton-- These two are very different, it's kind of like matching apples and oranges against each other. Austin has so much personality and such a great voice, he sold this performance like no one's business. Spensha has a soulful vibe, she is so talented and I think has a place in country music. Alicia liked how Austin talked to the audience and liked how emotional Spensha got with the performance. Adam sees so much that is undiscovered in both of them. Blake said Austin you have a passion for entertaining and Spensha you have talent for connecting with a song.
Blake chose Spensha and saved Austin, Austin said, you really are what people say you are even behind closed doors.
Team Alicia: Johnny Bliss sang Alive by Sia vs. Miya sang Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran-- Alicia's adviser is Chris Blue who won with Team Alicia! I like Miya but she struggled with this song choice. Johnny was striving with this performance becacuse he made it his own. Sia songs are tough to sing and this was perfect. Blake said Miya didn't quite live up to her potential so he'd give it to Johnny. Alicia said Miya, your runs are beautiful, and Johnny you poured everything you had into this, it was pure emotion.
Alicia chose Johnny
Team Adam: Drew Cole Slow Hands by Niall Horan sang vs. Jackie Verna sang American Honey by Lady Antebellum-- What an awesome song choice for Drew, I love this. He executed this perfectly, he dirtied it up a little more than Niall which is perfect since he is a rocker. Jackie was awesome, I loved her song choice. Her power grew as the performance went on. Blake said Drew is more like Adam so he thinks Adam would lean more towards him but then again has a fetish for winning with a country artist and Jackie is a pure country artist. Adam said both were special and he didn't want to lose either one.
Adam chose Jackie, Adam c'mon steal Drew! And yes, Adam saves Drew and Blake is trying to steal him. Adam said don't be seduced by this maniac over here, you're one of my favorites on my team. Drew said, I am a loyal man, I have to pick Adam again.
Sorry all, I wanted to post videos with this, maybe I will add them tomorrow.
My picks tonight.... Kaleb Lee, Jackie Foster, Austin Giorgio, Spensha Baker, Drew Cole, and Jackie Verna! Strong performances tonight!

The Voice Season 14: The Battles Are So Good.... Just Thinking Out Loud
Team Blake: Kaleb Lee vs. Pryor Baird sang Don't Do Me Like That by Tom Petty-- I thought both of them had such strong and unique tones. I like Kaleb's stage presence more but I like Pryor's voice more. Alicia liked that they both had such vibrant energy and she would go with Kaleb. Adam said he fought for Pryor in the blinds, but wanted to point out Kaleb's subtle talent despite that fact that he would go with Pryor. Blake said thanks for coming to The Voice and letting us experience this.
Blake chose Pryor and Kelly stole Caleb!
Team Adam: Genesis Diaz vs. Mia Boostrom sang Because of You by Kelly Clarkson-- I liked Genesis more, I thought she pushed just a little further than Mia did vocally. Kelly said she's been singing that song a long time, and wrote it at 16. Kelly said Genesis, you're a pistol, but Mia the song is better suited to you. I liked both of you. Adam likes how almost out of control Genesis is, and he thinks both of them are so different.
Adam chose Mia
Team Kelly: Justin Kilgore vs. Molly Stevens sang Burning House by Cam-- I would go with Justin, although I felt like the feeling in this song and performance was so genuine for both of them. Adam said selfishly I would go with you Justin, but Molly, when you sing, people know that it's you. Blake said I turned for both of you, Justin, your presence is wide and deep, and Molly your falsetto, I've never heard anything like that. Kelly said you're both emotional and vulnerable.
Kelly chose Justin
Team Adam: Drew Cole vs. Miya Bass sang Knocking on Heaven's Door by Bob Dylan-- I love the juxtaposition between these two performers. Their differences are so complimentary. It's hard for me to choose. Blake liked how creative Miya was with the melody and he'd probably go for her. Alicia liked their interpretations and how it was totally in Drew's wheelhouse but she felt Miya owned it. Adam said that they are what he loves about music, and he said that they are so natural.
Adam chose Drew and Alicia stole Miya
Team Blake: Jordan Kirkendorffer vs. Wilkes sang Nobody to Blame by Chris Stapleton-- Wow, this was my fave battle of the night. I loved the dynamics in this performance, they were both turned up at different points during this song. Jordan is what country sounds like on the radio right now. Wilkes does such cool things with the melody of the song, he's a true performer. Kelly said if she had a steal, she'd steal whoever did not move on.
Blake chose Wilkes
Team Alicia: Britton Buchanan vs. Jaclyn Lovey sang Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran-- I was indifferent to these two. There were well matched, I think I'd go with Jaclyn if I had to make a choice. Adam said Britton, I wanted you on my team and Blake blocked me. Jaclyn, you're a revelation. Kelly said Jaclyn you're incredible, and I would be stealing you if you were up for grabs. Alicia said Britton you were far better than any rehearsal, and Jaclyn, you had such a sweetness to your voice. At 16, you own who you are. Kelly said Jaclyn looked like Julia Robert's daughter.... hmmm, she actually does.
Alicia chose Britton, Blake stole Jaclyn, he said she is a work horse and friggin awesome! I agree.
Wilkes, Miya, Kaleb, and Pryor are a few people I am going to be watching closely!
Blake chose Pryor and Kelly stole Caleb!
Team Adam: Genesis Diaz vs. Mia Boostrom sang Because of You by Kelly Clarkson-- I liked Genesis more, I thought she pushed just a little further than Mia did vocally. The Voice Season 14: Night 5 of the Blinds
Stephanie Skipper sang Piece by Piece by Kelly Clarkson-- Wow, Stephanie picked for me what is Kelly Clarkson's most personal song, and she just sang it so beautifully and put her own stamp on it. Kelly said it is so cool that you picked that song. Stephanie and Kelly thanked each other for singing that song. Adam and Blake turned. Blake said I applaud you for doing something scary and for giving us such a passionate performance. Adam said he will help Stephanie to let go and be more creative.
Stephanie chose Adam
Tish Haynes Keys sang Chain of Fools by Aretha Franklin-- Adam and Kelly turned for Tish who took on Aretha flawlessly. She didn't try to impersonate her but she was so soulful. Tish said Kelly you mean so much to my musical career I watched TV when the world met you, but I want to learn, grow, and be different so I choose Adam. She said she chose Adam because he said he is going to take her our of her comfort zone.
Tish chose Adam
Bransen Ireland sang Tulsa Time by Don Williams-- Bransen has an authentic country sound, this is a niche of country we're not hearing a lot right now, so he may do well. I don't love his performance, but I suppose that's something that he could work on. Adam and Blake turned. Adam said you're singing a song that states you won't be on my team. Alicia said Adam turned before Blake. Kelly said you won't have any competition on Adam's team. Despite Alicia and Kelly teaming up to push for Adam, Bransen chose Blake.
Teana Boston sang Unfaithful by Rihanna-- I liked this girl! She needs a little bit of work, but she's a sponge and she is going to absolutely soak up everything Kelly teaches her. Kelly said it's crazy that you're 16, and I am gonna win this show. Alicia said this is a hard song choice, you were brave. Adam said you're gonna be so far ahead of the curve. Blake said we're all going to regret not turning for you, I've been doing this show probably since before you were born.
Kelly chose Teana
Miya Bass sang Issues by Julia Michaels-- WOW! Such a mistake that no one turned other than Adam! She was really good, I loved her take on that song, very soulful with some punch. Adam said I am a huge fan of that song, I think Julia Michaels is a genius. You were amazing, until you got in your head, but you're super dope.
Adam chose Miya
Livia Faith sang Dream a Little Dream of Me-- Hmm, it's interesting to me how the people that Adam doesn't turn for are the ones I am normally least impressed with. I found her voice to be a little too sweet, almost like I wanted her to rough it up a little bit. Kelly and Blake turned. She talked about before going into her audition that she wanted Blake to choose her. At the very end Alicia turned, and she chose Alicia!
Livia chose Alicia
Jordan Kirkdorffer sang In Case You Didn't Know by Brett Young-- This guy is good, strong vocal, good range, and has the swag. Adam turned first and then Blake. Adam cringed when Blake turned. Adam said, do I have a chance? Adam said oh, but it sounds like a small one. He told him there was a lot of dimensions in his voice-- there was country and there was pop as well. Kelly defended Adam. Adam said I didn't need a vote or verification from Blake to turn around.
Jordan chose Blake
Shana Halligan sang Bang Bang by Cher-- Hmm, she reminds me of someone with that voice, I can't think of who.... a little bit of Amy Winehouse. Alicia was the only one who turned..... I think Shana also sounds a little like Florence from Florence and the Machine. Shana, to me, is someone who potentially could be big in this competition, she's kind of like a diamond in the rough, lot of potential with her.
Alicia chose Shana
Gary Edwards sang What's Going On by Marvin Gaye-- Gary sang a song that continues to have such relevance like Adam said. I loved how he made What's Going On his own. His falsetto was awesome. Adam turned almost immediately whereas Blake turned towards the end. Blake said you're in my neck of the woods in Texas. He said if you choose Adam as your coach, maybe you can advise him to put on another shirt.
Gary chose Adam
Hannah Goebel sang If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys-- Hannah was amazing from the first note, and she picked such a great song. Everyone turned but Kelly blocked Alicia which was strategic in such a smart way.
Hannah chose Kelly
I'm looking out for Stephanie, Tena, and Miya!
Stephanie chose Adam
Tish Haynes Keys sang Chain of Fools by Aretha Franklin-- Adam and Kelly turned for Tish who took on Aretha flawlessly. She didn't try to impersonate her but she was so soulful.
