The Voice Season 26-- Team Reba and Team Snoop: The Road to the Playoffs

Team Reba: Adam Bohanan sang Think I'm In Love With You by Chris Stapleton-- Adam has been one of my favorites since the beginning. He doesn't sing one wrong note. Gwen calls him really really good. Michael said he wants to drink whiskey with him. Snoop likes how he has no fear. Reba believes he is someone who will get better and better.

Team Snoop: Christina Eagle sang Fancy by Reba McEntire-- This was a bit of an odd song choice for Christina, unsure how she connected to this song. Reba called her performance incredible. Michael said there are so many reasons to love you. Snoop complimented her confidence.

Team Reba: Edward Preble sang All of Me by Frank Sinatra-- I love this song for him. This performance made me smile from start to finish. Michael said you're everything I love about music and this business. Snoop liked how he stepped up his game on his showmanship. Reba said you fascinate me and people will fall in love with you the way I have.

Team Snoop: Aliyah Khaylyn sang I Have Nothing by Whitney Houston--Michael said you paid tribute to Whitney and made it yours. Reba said I love your voice, you're so good. Gwen said this is your lane, congratulations. Snoop said I saw greatness, you stood in your power.

Team Reba: Katie O sang Hang Tight Honey by Lainey Wilson-- You can tell Katie O took the notes from Lainey Wilson. She had energy and connected with the song. I am liking her as the country representative a little more than Christina. Michael said you are good and kind and sweet. Gwen said you have so much skill at such a young age, I am so happy for you. Reba said have you had a good time doing The Voice? You're fun, you're a breath of fresh air.

Team Snoop: Austyns Stancil sang Adore by Prince-- Oh my gosh, he is so so good! He said he wanted to do Prince justice and he did. The coaches are all on their feet. Gwen said you're so talented, wow, no one can do that. I am jealous but proud of you. Michael said I am pushing my steal button, I love you man. That was awesome. Snoop said, proud of you nephew, I know it's your voice when you sing that, you can make records.

Team Reba: Lauren Michael Sellers sang I Am Not Okay-- I thought this was a great song for Lauren, I did not like it as much as some of her other performances, and it seems as though Reba is set on moving her to the live shows. Snoop said you just keep growing, you've become a real superstar. Gwen said it felt like you wrote this song and this was your story. Reba said you deliver a message so well. You're a treasure.

Team Snoop: Mikaela Ayira sang Love by Keyshia Cole-- Wow! She is amazing! I cannot even believe her voice at her age. That performance was just flawless and inspired. Reba said that was gorgeous. Gwen said Snoop helped you find your lane, you really shined tonight. Michael said to watch your growth, you were perfect.  Snoop said you need to be making real records.

Team Reba: Danny Joseph sang I Heard it Through the Grapevine by Marvin Gaye-- He has just incredible musicality. I agree with Lainey, you can tell that he has played tons of shows and deserves to be here. Almost all the coaches were on their feet. Gwen said she's a fan. Snoop said you deserve to move forward. Michael said you've earned your place man. Reba said you've earned your place on the show and I was really proud of you tonight.

Team Snoop: Jeremy Beloate sang The Impossible Dream-- His voice is incredible, he belongs on Broadway right now. What a stunning performance, he had me in tears. Michael said you are a bad man. Gwen said you are such an amazing singer. Reba said I have not been that touched listening to anyone until you. I could see you on Broadway and I wanna come see you when you're there. Snoop said I am thankful to have you on my team.

Reba chose Adam and Danny to move forward.
I think I would have picked Edward and Danny, but I do like Adam.

Snoop chose Jeremy and Christina to move forward.
I would have chose Jeremy and either Austyns, Aliyah, or Mikaela. I just honestly did not think it was Christina's night. I am a huge fan of hers too.

The Voice Season 26: Three Way Knockouts Stun!

Team Snoop:

Austyns Stancil sang Dance with my Father Again by Luther Vandross-- Heartfelt, real, and raw, Austyns felt every note and lyric. This was truly beautiful.

Christina Eagle sang My Church by Maren Morris-- She is just a spirited performer. I feel like she goes up on stage and leaves it all up there each time.

Jake Tankersley sang Going Going Gone by Luke Combs-- Jake has the ultimate cowboy voice. It is crazy how long he gets and is able to keep so much control in the vocal and the performance.

I loved them all and I do not think I could choose. Reba said Austyns was spirit filled. She liked how Christina had fun and filled the stage. She loved Jake's big, round voice. Michael talked about how great Snoop is at the voice. He said he wanted to be like Jake. He said Christina becomes a superhero on stage. Lastly, he said that He thought Austyns nailed it and would pick him. Snoop chose Austyns, saved Christina, and Gwen stole Jake.

Team Reba:

Adam Bohanan sang Colors by Black Pumas-- Such an underestimated and undervalued artist in this competition. He just literally has tons of soul.

Cassidy Lee sang Love Me Like a Man by Bonnie Raitt-- Love Cassidy's voice as well. She is so bluesy and this song was perfect for her.

Jaukeem Fortson sang God Only Knows by Dolly Parton-- Wow! Oh my gosh, this was so good. I really felt like I was at church. So young and so talented.

Snoop said first time I went to a bar, a club, and church right after. Gwen said wow thank you guys, I don't think I could choose. Snoop would go with Jaukeem, Michael would go with Adam. These three are all amazing in all honesty. They are all winners. Reba chose Adam. Michael stole Jaukeem.

Team Gwen:

Camryn Brooks sang Glitter in the Air by Pink-- This was heartfelt and it felt like a tribute to her mom who has always believed in her.

Deon Jones sang Nutbush City Limits by Tina Turner-- He was a total showman. Vocals weren't perfect, but the performance made up for it, raw emotion, he felt the song.

Jose Luis sang We Can't Be Friends (Wait for Your Love) by Ariana Grande--  Amazing vocals, I'm not even going to lie. I feel like Ari would be proud of this performance. He can sing any notes, anything, and I did feel like he connected with the song this time.

Michael said Deon I could not stop watching you, Jose I would have to choose you, that voice cements you. Snoop said Jose, when you have the mic in your hand you turn into another person. The light is on you and you step right into it. Reba said, Deon you're the ultimate show dog. Gwen said Camryn you've come far. Deon to be able to sing, dance, and control the room is rare. Jose Luis, you're unbelievable, I'm blown away by you, you have an absolute gift. Gwen chose Jose Luis!

Team Buble:

Cameron Wright sang You're All I Need To Get By by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell-- I loved that, what an effortless performance.

Sloane Simon sang Can't Catch Me Now by Olivia Rodrigo-- What a stunning vocalist, she is a star.

Snoop said Cameron you chose a duet and sang it by yourself. Sloane you sounded like you were in a movie. Reba said Sloane your vocal was beautiful. Cameron you had great range. Gwen said Cameron your runs were so tasteful. Sloane, I am team Sloane. Michael said the show is The Voice and he couldn't bear to part with either one of them. He chose Cameron and saved Sloane.

The Voice Season 26: The Battles Bring Back the Summer Breeze

Team Reba: Deon Jones vs. Danny Joseph singing It's a Man's Man's World by James Brown-- That was amazing! I love Danny's passion. Deon has this gravel in his voice that is so amazing. Gwen thought this performance looked really well. She said both of them are so gifted.  I would not be able to choose, I'd need both of them. Snoop said that song is deep and you both sang it with the same conviction. Reba chose Danny. Gwen stole Deon! Well done! He was so good.

Team Snoop: Brad Sample vs. Jake Tankersley singing Stuck on You by Lionel Ritchie--  Hmm interesting, I did not love this song choice for them. I'll let you be the judge, weigh in in the comments. I actually prefer Brad's voice. Reba said it was the perfect combo because of the differences in your voice. She liked both of them. Michael loved the song choice. He would lean towards Jake. Gwen thought it was a good battle and reminded Jake that she blocked Reba. Snoop picked Jake.

Team Gwen: Cozy Len vs. Felsmere singing Summer Breeze by Seals & Crofts-- Wow! I LOVE how they completely transformed this song and gave it this soulful sound. Both of them sound amazing. Gwen is bringing it this season as a coach. Reba thought it was the perfect duet. Snoop appreciated how Cozy left Felsmere take the lead. He would lean towards Felsmere cause Gwen can coach to who she is. Gwen said she needed to go with who she could take further at this moment. Gwen chose Felsmere.

Team Buble:  Shye vs. Jamison Puckett singing Love Yourself by Justin Bieber-- Great song choice for them. I feel like Michael is such a lover of music and artistry. He is great at coaching. They are both so good and they're authentic, each of them is so special and different from what's out there. They are not just singers but artists. Gwen said it was so smooth, I just wanted to hear more. You both are equally gifted. Snoop and Reba could not decide. Michael said I want to thank you both. Michael chose Shye.

Team Reba: Creigh Riepe vs. Lauren Michael Sellers singing You Will Be Found by Sam Smith and Summer Walker-- I absolutely LOVED everything about this. They both deserve to continue. I did not know Creigh had all that. Lauren I knew was amazing. This was like a full take me to church moment. Gwen said she might go with Creigh. Snoop said I felt like I was at a show. I would go with Lauren because of her control. Reba said Lauren is ferocious and Creigh is so alive. Reba chose Lauren.

Team Gwen: Jose Luis vs. Austyns Stancil singing Lay Me Down by Sam Smith-- I thought that they were both great. The arrangement was a little awkward. I think I would go with Austyns if it was me. Jose reminds me of Asher Havon who won last season. Snoop said it felt like you all were together and you allowed each other to have that moment. Michael said you lit this place up. Reba said you will not lose picking either one of them. Gwen chose Jose. Someone is going to steal Austyns, I know it! Reba, Snoop, and Michael all went in to steal Austyns. Snoop said I wanted you the first time and didn't get you, I wanted you the second time, and I'm gonna get you. Michael said you just filled this place up with love. I can help you get to where you want to be.

I am looking forward to see who Austyns is going to choose. So far only one person from my Voice fantasy team has been eliminated and that was Brad.

The Voice: Season 26 .... to watch or not to watch?

Premiere, Night One:

I was debating whether I wanted to watch The Voice this season. I was not particularly enthused with the mix of coaches this season. I like Gwen but she's never been a great coach. I love Reba. I was not sure what to think about Michael Buble, but I am really impressed with him.  I thought Snoop was going to be corny as hell and I am still not 100% sure who the real Snoop is, but I like this person on The Voice.

This season, there’s a new cool feature and it’s called the coaches replay. It allows a coach to hit the button after the contestant’s performance is over, it’s kind of like a do over if the coach messed up and didn’t turn.

There are some great singers this season! Kicking it all off was Jake Tankersley singing Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan-- This ended up being a four chair turn. Jake has a great voice, he had a Chris Stapleton sound to me. I loved the gravel in his voice. Gwen used her block on Reba but it didn't matter because Jake was all about the Snoop D-O double G.

Sofronio Vasquez came out singing I'm Going Down by Mary J. Blige-- I loved how he made this song his own. I didn't hear a shred of Mary J. and I loved that. This was another four chair turn and this time Michael came out on top. I think what sold it was Michael's connection to his fans in the Phillippines as that's where Sofronio is from.

Jan Dan sang Almost Doesn't Count by Brandy-- I have to be honest, this seemed very ordinary to me, nothing really stood out here. Michael and Gwen turned and Jan picked Team Gwen.

Danny Joseph sang I Put a Spell on You by Screamin Joe Hawkins-- This guy is so good! I love how he went so long and is still undiscovered. This was another well deserved four chair turn and Snoop blocked Michael. Danny is from London living in Austin, Texas. He has so much soul, character, and control in his voice. Danny chose Reba!

Torre Blake sang On & On by Erykah Badu— I loved Torre, she was soulful and a little different than the norm, there’s something about her vibe that is really cool. Her dad played in the NFL. Gwen and Snoop ended up turning and Torre picked Snoop.

Kendall Eugene sang Don’t Think Jesus by Morgan Wallen— This was one of my favorite performances and to think he almost didn’t make it! Reba used her replay on Kendall. I don’t understand why no one turned to begin with. I thought he was great and I loved that he sang a faith based song.

Not particularly notable… Kiara Vega sang Amor Eterno and went to Team Buble and Chrisdeo sang I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz and she picked Team Snoop.

Last of night one, Sydney Sterlace sang Drivers License by Olivia Rodrigo— hard to believe Sydney is only 15! She was so emotionally connected to the song. This was a rightful and well deserved four chair turn. Sydney chose Team Gwen.

Blinds Part Two:

Dreion sang Shining Star by Earth, Wind, and Fire-- All four coaches ultimately turned. What I loved about Dreion is that he has an amazing voice with great dynamics. He also has this cool stage presence. You don't always have artists who have the voice and that energy on stage. I think Dreion would have been great with Michael but he ultimately chose Snoop.

Mor Ilderton sang Coal by Dylan Gossett-- I absolutely loved this performance. I think he is going to do well on the show. I am shocked that he has never performed before. Michael turned first and blocked Reba. He did the right thing because he has a very country and folksy sound. Michael loved his distinct voice. Reba said his voice was sexy. And Snoop said country and gangsta go together. Mor chose Michael.

Felsmere sang Some Kind of Wonderful by Grand Funk Railroad-- Felsmere is all the way from Season one. I loved her take on this song, it was very bluesy and sultry. Michael and Gwen turned. Gwen said she would help Felsmere figure out who she is. Felsmere chose Gwen.

Kamila Kiehne sang Black Velvet-- I was not as crazy about this performance as a few of the coaches were-- Reba, Michael, and Snoop turned pretty quickly. I did think her voice was shaky in certain points. The Canadian connection did it, Kamila chose Team Buble.

Tanner Frick sang Thought You Should Know by Morgan Wallen-- This was a fave performance of mine. I loved Tanner's honesty. This ultimately became a well deserved four chair turn. Snoop turned first and said Tanner's uniqueness really came through. Reba said his growl is reminiscent of Chris Stapleton. Tanner chose Team Reba.

Rowdy Shea sang You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This by Toby Keith-- This was an interesting one, country singer Gwen and Michael turned but no Reba. She has an ear for talent. Rowdy chose Gwen.

323 (a trio) sang You Drive Me Crazy by Britney Spears-- I always appreciate a group. They are good, not great, but good. I would love to see what one of the coaches can do with them. Michael and Reba turned, and they chose Team Reba.

Gail Bliss sang If It Hadn't Been for Love-- Gail played Patsy Kline in a show for 30 years. She's 61 and the oldest in the competition. She is good! No one turned. Snoop decided that he was going to use his replay on her and rightfully so. He said the spirit of his mom inspired him.

Austyns Stancil sang Oh Baby Baby by Smokey Robinson-- Austyns has an amazing voice. Michael mentioned this and I agree. I love how he went from his falsetto into his mid range. It was beautiful. He's naturally gifted as a vocalist and that's actually quite rare. Well deserved four chair turn. Austyns picks Team Gwen.

So I want to do something this year called a Voice Fantasy Team! I want to pick all my faves and put them on a Fantasy Team and I am going to make similar cuts the way they do on the show. Only my faves! I am going to pick 25 out of everyone who gets through.
