My Favorite Things Are H-O-T!

One of my absolute favorite things to do is share my favorite things with people. I feel like the things I love are so great that they cannot be kept a secret. Everyone needs them!

**I discovered the first thing on my list shopping over the weekend at Victoria's Secret. The brand is currently in a hiring freeze, so it's obvious to me that I need to help them get their sales up. I love, love, love the perfume "Pink Gold", a 1oz. bottle is $20, very affordable. With amber notes and vanilla, it's not that overly sweet smell that Victoria's Secret does with their Pink line, it's more sophisticated. Sold out on the website right now, go to the store and grab yours!

UPDATE: Pink just released 12 new scents in hand creams, I am going to try them tomorrow and I will let you know what I think. $4 each on their website.

**While we're on the topic of Victoria's Secret, if you haven't tried it already, go to Victoria's and try on the Sexy Illusion bra. I absolutely guarantee you, it is the most comfortable bra you will ever try on. Once I found this bra and my bra specialist Tiffany helped me find my right size, I threw away every other bra I ever owned and started over. They make a push up, a lightly lined demi, and a strapless. The strapless feel like you're aren't even wearing a bra. They're $49.50-$54.50, and they are amazing! Don't walk, run and try one on! https://www.victoriassecret.com/lingerie/sexy-illusions

**I learned about the brand Younique almost a year ago from a friend of a friend who is a Younique independent retailer (eg. like Avon!). I love their eye shadow and blush; they're so sparkly and fun. But, my fave go-to Younique item is their Royalty Exfoliating Mask. I love it because the mask contains shea butter which is one of my fave things for my skin. The mask works at taking the dullness out of your skin and makes your skin glow. It exfoliates with sea salt, conditions with shea butter, and removes dirt and oil as well as reducing appearance of pores. A 1.7 oz. jar is $49, and worth every penny.

Another thing I love about the brand is that it was founded in 2012 by a sister/ brother team who really had this vision of empowering women to lead their own independent businesses and achieve financial reward. Younique also donates a lot of money to women's charities through special makeup bundles that they create throughout different times during the year.

My Younique Rep is Amber, she's amazing and will answer all your questions about the line.

**A couple months ago I was home sick from work and I discovered another amazing makeup brand called SeneGence. It is hard to believe that the brand started in 1999 with it's lip line called LipSense which I am absolutely obsessed with; they were a direct sales beauty company with only six colors, and now there are 50 permanent colors as well as seasonal releases.  There are literally so many reasons I love LipSense. It lasts forever, you apply it once and it will stay on you and not come off for the whole day. There are tons of colors, you can create your own colors by layering the colors you have, and a tube of it will last you for a good amount of time. Let's face it, makeup is expensive ladies so getting value for your money is important.

My SeneGence Rep is Andrea, she is literally my Lipsense Goddess, and answers every product question I have with knowledge and care.

**Next up, StyleRush! OMG, it is back and better than ever! Founded in 2009 by Yve Rivas who wanted to be able to bring women the latest trends in fashion and accessories at an affordable price, StyleRush relaunched less than a week ago following a brief hiatus. What do I love about StyleRush? It's a curated collection of pieces that I will not find anywhere else. Prices are in line with Francesca's Collection but elevated quality. I also love that this is a one woman show-- Rivas does it all from choosing each piece herself, to taking the photographs, to hosting sip and shops from her clients' homes.

Here's a few of my fave pieces---

Royal Blue Beaded Earrings, $14

Periwinkle Top $24, the back on this is amazing, you need to check it out on her website.

Black Beaded Bracelet with Metal Closure, $16

Cream Printed Top with Black Ties, $28, this beauty is on it's way to me and I cannot wait to try it on.
So, all of this amazingness and much much more is available at: https://www.stylerushfashions.com/
Visit and like their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StyleRushFashion/

I promise you will NOT be sorry! The Spring Collection is out right now, grab your favorite pieces, quantities are limited!

**This year has been all about changing my life! Being around strong women, meeting strong women-- it empowered me to want to be the best version of myself. I have always been a HUGE Jillian Michaels fan. I decided for a lot of reasons that enough is enough and I wanted to get in better shape. I began researching Michaels' DVDs and I found --->

Ladies I will be honest with you, it's tough but it's worth it. Be the best version of you. Find something you like to do, and do it. I also got a kickboxing DVD with Jillian Michaels. I love kickboxing. This DVD though is a good place to start, please start here:

**Last but certainly not least, I discovered almost by accident last holiday a brand called LuLaRoe. Don't even ask me how I came across it because I just don't remember but it must have been meant to be. The clothes are affordable, fun, versatile, amazing quality, on trend, and comfortable. Where do you ever get all of those things happening at one time? With what brand? Because I don't know.

I love LuLa's mission statement--

LuLaRoe is sold through independent retailers who have shops or boutiques in their homes. I had found a rep through a contact on Facebook and bought a couple of items from them, but I didn't feel that they cared about me as a customer, I felt like I was more of an invoice number. I went in search of another LuLa rep and did I hit the jackpot when I stumbled upon my current and only LuLa rep Amy. Amy not only cares about me as a customer, but as a person. She cares about me getting pieces that fit me well and always says I want you to LOVE what you get. While many salespeople have said this to me, she is one of the only ones who has truly meant it.

Besides the clothing being amazing, there is this unreal community of strong, kind, and generous women who I have got to know being a part of Amy's LuLaRoe group through Facebook posts and live sales. If you have never watched a LuLa live sale you must, even if you have no intent of buying anything, it's just so fun to be a part of something and participate in it.

LuLa carries everything from buttery soft leggings at $25 to the best stretchy tailored denim jacket I have ever worn at $100. In addition, LuLa wants every woman to be able to wear their clothes, they start at XXXS (size 0) and go up to XXXL (size 26-28).....here are some outfits (this stuff may or may not still be available, and LuLaRoe has a ton of styles that are not even here so you must check it out!).....

The Amy is probably my fave LuLa top, $46, button down blouse, dolman sleeve, 100% rayon, so soft and comfy and the Julia Dress is $45, it's a form fitting knee length dress, super comfy, machine washable, wear it alone or layer over it.
The perfect tee is a swing shape tee with side slits and a half sleeve, simple and comfy, it can be worn with leggings as displayed here or with a skirt, and it's $36. Leggings are OS and fit sizes 2-10 and are $25. There are TC and TC2 leggings for sizes 14-26.
The Carly is a swing shape dress, it's the ultimate Summer dress, one of my fave things about LuLaRoe is the prints, and the print in this Carly blows me away, it's $55. The Harvey is the ULTIMATE denim jacket, stretchy, comfy, versatile, perfect fit, you need 1, 2, or 10, and it's very reasonably priced at $100.
Hidden in this pic is the first ever LuLaRoe v-neck tee, the Christy, and if it's sales are any indication, this style will go from temporary to permanent, a $36, it's the ultimate go to tee. Also pictured are some stunning OS leggings at $25, and another Harvey, this one with embroidered flowers at $100

Another Dress that there are a few left of, and it's future is undecided is the Maurine, the Maurine is stunning! At $74 it's a little pricey, that being said, it's a dress, or there are hacks you can watch on YouTube to make it into a top so there is versatility with this piece. Amy has a few left if you want one. Grab it now while it's still with us.

My Favorite Things: September 2011 Edition

It's been way too long since I have written about some of the things that have captured my heart, mind, and attention.

It was May 16th to be exact, you can check out my last batch of favorite things right here: http://missvsvoice.blogspot.com/2011/05/favorite-things.html

Here are several favorite things that I am not just enamored with, but raising my glass to--

Silver Soleil is a handcrafted artisan jewelry etsy boutique that I discovered when I was trying to find some new likes for my Facebook page for Miss V's Voice. I am so pleased that I have discovered them because their jewelry is the type that I was so used to seeing when I attended art fairs. Everything has that authentic handmade look; the piece that really took my breath away was the Tree of Life Necklace. The necklace is comprised of brown turquoise and picture jasper with a pendant made of silver and copper. My friend at StyleRush says that mixing metals is all the craze this fall season. Each necklace is made to order for an extra special touch.

August = too early for Samuel Adams Octoberfest
September = perfect for Samuel Adams Octoberfest

The weather starts to get cooler, and the days are shorter, and we all need something to be excited about, and Sam Adams Octoberfest is just fine as far as I'm concerned. First brewed by Boston Beer Company in 1989, Octoberfest is a blending of five roasts of malt, "to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. The malt is complimented by the elegant bitterness imparted by the Bavarian Noble hops," say the beer gods at BBC.

The cast, crew, production team, and writers on Days of Our Lives are on a mission to bring daytime television back to what it used to be. Gone from the show are the silly plots and story-lines that didn't draw the viewers in, gone from the show are characters that were underdeveloped and as a result not cared about by the longtime fans of the show. Back are characters and couples that were household names, John and Marlena, Carrie and Austin, and Doug and Julie. Back are the story-lines that are more realistic and back is the whole idea of love on daytime TV. The world is scary, the economy is down, unemployment is up, and times are tough, and people want to escape with the TV shows they watch. Loyal Days viewers love to see the couples they have been routing for be happy together, Sami and Rafe, Bo and Hope, Jennifer and Daniel, just to name a few. Monday September 26th is said to be the relaunch of Days of Our Lives and I for one wouldn't miss it for the world.

Another edition of my favorite things wouldn't be complete without my new favorite fashion piece courtesy of StyleRush Fashions. If you have not been to the website to check out all that is new for fall, be sure you do. The young owner of the company has a real eye for fashion. It was hard for me to settle on choosing one thing to showcase this time, but I pick the adorable yet sexy Leopard Studs. For only $14, you can't beat the price and they are the perfect way to accessorize and add pop to that new or old fall outfit that you love. Aren't the colors great?

Rihanna debuted her Cheers (Drink to That) music video on August 26th so it's only fitting that it be a part of the September edition of "My Favorite Things" because most people probably didn't know about it until September anyway (this is just an excuse because I love this video so much). What I love about the video is that it's an inside look to Rihanna's life on tour as well as personal videos of her living out loud. The video is her in her real life and it's a celebration which should be what life it all about. It has turned into one of those videos that I cannot help but hit the replay button and listen again and again when it's over. Please take a look below and let me know how many times you hit replay. ;-) Cheers!
